Now this is interesting... I remembered that this guy cohosted the MTV VMA's several years back with Justin Timberlake. I always thought Timberlake was a tall dude, like 6'1" to 6'2". In my head Sean William Scott was pretty average, like 5'10". Looing back at the video Sean William Scott appears taller than Timberlake. Timberlake is 5'11 3/4" which is only a half inch difference so it could be shoes.

That's the problem with determining height using one unconfirmed person to the next. If you get one height wrong and then use that height to determine the next, and so on... everybody's height is wrong.

SWS is hard to peg. Sometimes he looks short, sometimes tall. He didn't look too much shorter than 6'3" Will Ferrell when he played his boss in the American Flag speedo skit on SNL back in 2001. I think 5'11" sounds believable for him. He is certainly not a 6-footer.

To be honest, in Role Models Scott looked more like a 5ft10 guy then 5ft11+. Next to Rudd he looked to have 2", and Rudd looked 5ft8 tops. He wore a lot of thicker heeled boots and shoes in the movie, so maybe that's where he's getting the extra boost from? He did the same in The Dukes of Hazzard next to Johnny Knoxville, and in The Rundown with Dwayne Johnson.

Maybe he is in the 5ft11 range, I've never met him, but on screen he comes across a bit less.

James at very best, on a ten hour night of sleep morning height Damon might hit 5'9, but no more than that, closer to 5'8 in the evening for Damon. On my last post it was assuming Van Der Beek was 6'0 but then I googled a few pis and im thinking 6'0 is generous, actually i'm thinkin' more like 5'10 region, actually if my memory serves me correctly he was shorter than mewes, which back then I always was tall in comparison to kevin smith until I realized Smith wasn't near as tall as he claimed. Smith was like 2 inches shorter than Justin Long in live free/die hard. So even if we assume Mewes is the height listed here, that would but JVDB 5'10.5-5'11 max or maybe even lower cuz in most I googled he appeared to be in generous footwear, he could be a liftwearer. Yeah, I really believe it Viper, Biggs is 5'8, if he's almost 5'10 then he's the shortest-looking 5'10 I know, same as Damon. Take Jay & Silent Bob strike back for example, James Van Der Beek listed 6'0 here and alot of places (and even as low as 5'10 Click Here ) was a solid 3 inches over Biggs if not a little over that and that's assuming jvdb is a solid 6'0, if he's more 5'11 then Biggs is 5'8 max. He was on Tyra today. Looked two inches shorter than Tyra in heels. My guess is he is 5'10" or 5'10.5" since Tyra was wearing heels and he was wearing dress shoes. If Tyra is 5'10" in her heels she was at about 6'1" with Scott at 5'11".

I just finished watching "Role Models" (Sean William Scott and Paul Rudd's new comedy).

That picture of him and paul rudd posted below is wholly inaccurate. He just has bad posture in that scene.
Sean William Scott appears significantly taller then Rudd throughout the movie. So I would still say the 181 cm is still spot on.

Glenn was leaning forward, Seann was leaning backward, but Glenn seemed to stretch his body to get close to Seann and Seann seemed to slack his body to get close to Glenn. His boots were everyday boots and they are not full 2 inches. In America, most of male shoes are not flat, even sport shoes. Jimmy Kimmel was surely wearing the leather shoes for his suit and these shoes are generally 1 inch. I also say Kimmel is not 6'1 because he had advantage, camera was at right corner, by his side, so he had to look bigger and taller than Seann. Dmeyer, it's weird because the majority of guys I see now a day are in that range as well. I still see guys 5ft8, 5ft9, 5ft10, but it just seems at late there are more closer to the 5ft11 mark and taller. Especially with teenage guys today they all seem close to 6ft on an average.

One thing is for sure if you want to see a collective group of tall people go to a sporting event or a concert at a stadium. There at near 6ft1 depending on my shoes, I feel short to average but never tall!

I met Seann last 4th of July.. He's from Minnesota and thats where I live. I met him in the gym. I would say he's about 5'11 or shorter- no way is he over 6 foot!

we are probably the same height since in boots he look 184 cm they give him about 1 in advantage so 181 fits him but he does look close to 2 in smaller than duchovny who is just aout 185 cm so he could be 5'10.75 this guy is between 179 to 182 barefeet he does look the same height as timberlake

I don't see the different inch or cm between justin and seann or johnny and seann or yune fat and seann. To me Seann has a bad posture, too,( still worse than Timberlake and Knockville):bow legs, round shoulder and even sometimes tilted pelvis. But anyway, he has a good kung fu posture in bulletproof monk. Chow yune fat has a damn straight posture. He even doesn't know how a kung fu to stand! How could he always play martial art films?

Yeah Anonymous that’s exactly right, a lot of his co-stars have been tall guys, The Rock, Ashton Kutcher, Chow Yun Fat, Tom Green, and that Ozz character you mentioned. It’s understandable how people can mistakenly think that this guy is shorter than 5’11”.

I never met him but whoa! He actually is at least 5'11". He's just doesn't look tall in a lot of his rolls because he stars with oversized human beings so many times. What a concidence. If he is this height than Johnny Knoxville is 6'1" for those who say Knoxville is only 5'11". Watch evolution and the American Pie movies and you'll see that he's the second tallest. Since he's 5'11" at least and he stands next to that character Ozz in American Pie, holy crap Ozz is got to be f**king 6'4".

Thanks Jack! I owe you for those pictures. He's just average man's height like 5'8" or 5'9". He's doesn't even look close to 5'11" In both of those pictures Jack has he's at 6'1" Chow Young Fat's nose counting hair. That makes him at least 4 inches shorter than Chow Young Fat. He's does the same tricks average height guys like Johnny Depp do to make themselves look taller.

Yeah, this guy is hard to get down. I've stated my height before on here; I'm a little under 6', like 5'11.75, maybe 5'11.5. So, I can kind of understand Seann's case. Seann likes to wear big boots a lot. I like to wear leather combat boots a lot (I have a weird leather boot fetish I guess), which add about 1.5" to my height. Not sure what Seann wears though, but his heels look big almost all the time. Anyway, I have a friend who's 6'0.5" (like Johnny) and likes to wear a lot of thin-soled shoes, especially chucks (again, just like Johnny), and sometimes I'm just a little over him or exactly the same height (his posture is sometimes a factor).

So, yeah, 5'11 or 5'11.25 seems about right.

I think most people have a gap of about 4 inches between their eyebrows and the very top of their head.

I've just measured the distance from the bottom of my nose to the top of my head and the gap is about 7 inches! Quite a big difference to the 5 inches you think your friend has between the top of his head / bottom of nose.

My forehead seems to be slightly longer than average... but i don't think drastically so. My nose is a fraction over 2 inches long.

So my guess is one or more of the following could be true :

a) you come up slightly higher on your 6'3" friend's nose than you realise. (e.g the very top of your head is just under his eyes)

b) you're friend is more like 6'4"?

d) I have an unusually gigantic head.

e) Your friend has an unusually tiny head.

He has to be around 6'0". When he stood next to The Rock, 6'3.5", in The Rundown, he was around 3 inches shorter, since he came up to The Rock's eyebrow's. I am 5'10", and i have a friend who is 6'3", and I come up under his nose, making him 5 inches taller than me. Scot has to be two inches taller than me (other wise my friend is taller than 6'3", or I'm shorter than 5'10" and I'm pretty sure my doctor wouldn't lie to me.)Also, on that MTV show, he and Justin Timberlake wre about the same height (wearing about the same size shoe without lifts for with of them)

I've met SWS twice but his height was different. American Pie 2 was shot at my best friend's house (the lesbian house), so I got to meet the cast. He seemed to be 5'11 (same height as my friend). I met him again like 3 months ago and he was same height as me 6'2. I was kinda surprised so I made sure to check and he was wearing running shoes and I was wearing sandals. I watched an episode of the tonight show with Jay Leno 8-11-05, and I know for a fact that Jay Leno is 5'10, he recently did a stand up at my university. And when S.W.S went to shake his hand they practically "shoes taken into a factor" the same height. He is 5'10, 5'10.5 tops!
