Brother_h, He does have a small build. It will be interesting to see how little he looks next to Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. On the cover of the new Vanity Fair, LaBeouf looks to be 2 inches shorter than a slouching Ford. If Ford is only 5ft11.25-5ft11.5 now, LaBeouf has to only be around 5ft8.5 barefoot. With the boots he's wearing in the pic, he's probably between 5ft9.75-5ft10 tops to Ford's 6ft0.5-6ft1.

It's not necessarily better to be 125 lbs. and underweight, which is what he technically is, if he weighs that much. And that's coming from a substantially underweight female like myself who's nearly his age. Just b/c you're underweight doesn't mean you aren't just as at-risk of obtaining high cholesterol and high blood pressure among other things found in overweight and/or obese adults. Especially if you're eating at McDonalds or other fast-food places often. Or just eating out period. B/c I know plenty of people skinny or otherwise that and aren't any healthier than their larger counterparts (not to mention many skinny individuals can have a lot of body fat too). Personally, I like to see people in the normal range and not looking as if they're in need of a feeding tube and/or if they've had one too many hamburgers. Extremes aren't good either way and both lead to decreased fitness.
But then again, looking at his most recent pics and whatnot he looks more in the 135-140 range. Lean with a bit more muscle mass.
And although most girls don't seem to mind thin guys (I don't), it's never good to look waif-like. And I've seen a tad too many waif-like guys these days. I'm not much to talk, but then I'm a female. There's a bunch of new pics of Harrison Ford and Shia Labeouf at the 2007 Scream Awards set to show on tv in late October. Ford's getting the first ever action hero award with Labeouf in tow.
In the pics found on Getty Images, (I tried but can't post them) Labeouf is looking an easy 3 inches shorter than Ford, maybe more. Labeouf is wearing flat Vans style shoes and Ford is wearing standard heeled black dress shoes that are very clearly seen in a pic of the two of them satnding side by side from behind.

On Transformers he looks 5'7 next to Megan Fox who I think is only 5'4 not 5'5. I remember on an interview in 1993 when Brian Austin Green(Megan's boyfriend) said he was 5'11. I just saw "Transformers". This kid didn't look anywhere near 5'10. He only had about three inches taller than 5'5 Megan Fox, and he was also dwarfed by Voigt and Turtorro. 5'9 max for Shia, and 5'8.5 is probably the most likely estimate. wasa says on 26/Jun/07

Labeouf appeared on the MTV Movie Awards with Tyrese and Josh Duhamel a few nights back. Now Labeouf looked to be about an inch or more shorter than Tyrese, and they both were absolutely dwarfed by Josh Duhamel by what looked to be about near 5-6inches. If Tyrese is 5ft11.25, Rob's 5ft9.75 listing for Labeouf would make sense. But Duhamel looked taller than his 6ft3.5 listing, he looked 6ft4 or more legit.
Labeouf is also rail thin whic would add to somes perception of him being taller. If I hadn't read Rob's 5ft9.75 listing, I would have said after watching the show that he's around 5ft9. It'll be interesting to see how he stacks up against Ford in Indiana Jones 4 next summer. It will be a good guage to how much shorter Ford is these days.
[Editor Rob: maybe 1/4 inche from those guys would be closer, although Duhamel isn't just flat 6ft 3 as he claims. One of those who will round down a bit, you can see why he started saying it as his career got going, "My height. 6'3". I know I look like an awkward giant. I never felt so tall until I set foot on set with the other actors"...

According to Christy Carlson Romano's user comment on "The Even Stevens Movie," Shia grew to 6'2". Romano herself is 5'9" so it wouldn't be so easy for somebody like her to make such a mistake as let's say, somebody who's around 5'4". I ought to know, because I'm 5'11 1/2" and I've had people mistake me for being six feet or taller. Most of those people were fairly short.
At the same time, she did mention that Nick Spano was really a balding 57 year old man, so she may've been joking about LaBeouf's height. Drew says on 17/May/07

It is generous to give this guy more than 5'-9.5" I just saw him on the Carson Daly late night show, and was suprised at how small he looked next to him.
