Must be a joke. I met her in Japan after the show in 1996 and ate out with the whole band together. I'm 173cm (dont no in ft) and was wearing flat boots. But she was definitely 2, 3 inchs shorter than me. probably she wasnt wearing bulky goth boots. I dindnt find her nice. The band members were great thou.

I met her awhile back, and I must say I was amazed @ how beautiful she is, even without makeup. As for her height, she likes her boots really high and with platform, which makes it difficult to calculate. Anywayz if she'd been 5ft 8 she would've looked really huge on that kind of heels, i know for sure cuz my sister is 5'8 and she looks enormous when she wears high ones (I'm only 5'3). I believe that Shirley is indeed 5'8" and with good reason: most female singers' vocal ranges are in *direct* relation to their respective heights....as a singer myself, at 5'6", with a low range, of the female artists' songs i can sing well in the same key as the original material, the singer is ALWAYS as tall or taller than i am - there aren't that many tall female singers out there - but Shirley is one of them, and she has an *extremely* low range! By the makeup and hair, I can tell this photo of Shirley was fairly recent, correct? During the Bleed Like Me tour she didn't wear very large heels, just chunky heels and lots of weird sneaker things...
I've met Shirley three times, I would say she is no way shorter than 5'7, and probably is 5'8.
