Well the Rock was listed at 6'5 as a recruit at Maimi, so 6'6 was no big deal for wrestling, actually I heard the Rock put at 6'7 by a ring announcer. Remember, when he first started out he was the same height as Hogan and way back then Hogan's height was not exposed yet like it is now, he was still getting 6'6 and even 6'7. 6'5 and 6'4 never even made an appearence in print until the 2000's. When are people going to realize that wrestling exagerates the heights to no end. Sid, 6'6 peak, billed 6'9. Hogan 6'5 peak, billed 6'8+, 6'4 when he was old and 2 inches shorter than Sid. Andre 7'0 peak, billed 7'5, 6'9+ when old. The rock 6'3, billed 6'6+. John Studd 6'6+ billed 6'11. Big Show 6'10 peak billed 7'4, 6'9 now, Nash 6'9 peak, billed 7'0, 6'8 now. Danimal, is there a transcript or video of Hogan claiming this 1.25 inch height loss? Even if there is I don't believe him, he was listed for so many years as 6'7"-6'8" which he could get near to in wrestling boots, but then when he stopped wrestling the fact that he was around 6'5" peak would become more apparent so he claimed a height loss. Scott Hall's height is arugeable, he could be 6'5" it is highly likely, but 6'4" also possible, how about we just say 6'4.5" he was on TNA not long ago and stood next to Nash and he didn't lok much smaller than Nash, and Nash aint below 6'8.5" today, I guarantee it, look at him with legit 5'10+ Kurt Angle, it looks like He has around 1 foot on him at times. Have a look at the link below, I have put Windham and Sid together, Mamun did have his head raised slightly with Sid so I've done my best. I see about a 3 inch height difference, especially if Windham stood up straighter - my opinion, Sid 6'7-6'8. windham 6'4 - 6'5.

I just watched an RF Video shoot with Sid, and in the last part, part 14/14 he said within a sentence referring to himself 'a 6'8 to 6'9, 300 pound guy' just thought that was worth mentioning. Personally i cant buy anything less than 6'7 for Sid Mamun says on 17/May/08

That's a definite possibility. What I meant was sending something kind of like a chain letter. It could say something like, "Bring back Sycho Sid! Forward this to as many people as you want and include your name in the email. Also send this back to its original sender!" I have an idea how to petition for him ! You see lets all write one big
letter ( I mean on Paper ) and get as many signitures from all over the
world as possible . And then submitt it to vince . The WWE does have a fan
mail box . Lets flood this mail box with petitions to bring back Sid from
as many people as possible . This will most definately get Vinc's attention.
I know for a fact that Vince loves Big , Powerful and tall men to work for
him .Another way would be for a Sid fan ( if anyone here could contact him )
to actually go to a live wrestling event and have a huge sign out there
writing " We want Sid Back " .
The latest Sid news I have heard was that Sid was a No-show at a wrestling
event claiming he has injured his foot . And the WARRIOR IS ALSO making

Those estimates and pics are scattered over a 10 year period and are some of the vaguest iv'e ever seen on here, dose'nt prove anything really. Plus Taker's head is longer and Sid has a small head for a man his size .
Both Sid , Kane and Taker must have been very close in their primes .

You can't judge the top of their heads on a 2 dimensional flat perspective because the picture was certainly taken from a certain angle wich we can't know for sure.. Even the ropes on some pics seem to favour taker. The figures of these men next to each other actually give the idea of a taller Sid. But they are probably equal. Blue Man says on 4/May/08

not really, when i started watching back in 98' (good times :) )i was but a youngan in his late teens..really at that time, there was no real reason to question and of course no real articulation of height for me..at that stage i thought 204cm was the beginnings of six foot seven. and anyone that i had to look up to was darned tall in my eyes..Actually i believed all billed heights till i came across this site..
as for pappa shango, well i rememebr the godfather being billed at 6ft8 back in the late nineties.

Having one of my friend who is 6'4"1/2 377lbs France shot put champ , I can tell you that there was no way Charles Wright is under 6'4 and that he was weighing well over 300 when I met him . The guy was absolutely huge , way bulkier than Nash who I met too in 1995 , all the people were turning around , and to tell you the truth I was so surprised of his size and bulk when I saw him the 1st time in " great america"'s park that I was thinking he couldn't fit in most of the attractions because of his weight ( there are height/weight limits for the roller coasters etc.)
By the way Papa Shango has been billed up to 6'8 back in the day I'll try to find you a screenshot, and I remember him being billed 6'7 for most of his Papa Shango times .
If he was 6'3 how do you explain then that he was one of the only wrestler who's not 6'10+ to walk over the ropes to enter the ring ???
Back in 1995 it was absolutely impossoble that Wright was under 6'4 because had he been (6'3) he would only have been 3cm taller than my friend and 10 than myself and that is IMPOSSIBLE .

I've seen Papa Shango (at his Kama epoch) twice in person in San Diego when I went to the USA .
In the 1995 summer, he was MUCH taller than my 187 bud, I was 180cm back then and he was 194 at the very least .
My personal guess would be 195-196 range back then . The guy was also absolutely huge , I can easily buy his 330lbs billing .
Anyone here who says that Charles Wright was under 194cm at his peak is either a hater or has no clue . I say it again , I have seen him twice and there is no way the guy was under 194 .

I think that the 6'6.50 is right for Sid. Some people think he was 6'8 because he was about 2 inches taller than hogan back in 1992. But that is not a fair comparison. Hogan was so past his prime by then and I beleive that he was already down to about 6'4.50. If you could magicaly put a 1979 hogan next to a 1992 Sid,I think that Hogan would be only a little shorter, like a half inch. The same holds true the other way. If you put a true 6'6.50 young guy next to Sid today, I bet Sid would not be quite as tall. Ola says on 19/Apr/08

From about 1989 to about 1995 they were both in wrestling, I would have to beleive that they would have gotten together somewhere along the line,they would have been like the two biggest guys at that time so I would think that would have been a natural. It would answer all the questions because Studd was put as high as 6'11,and Sid as low as 6'6 when in fact, I think they both were about the same amount taller than Hogan. All right my good friends , sorry if I didn't respond for a while . I am
superman so I had to go else where to save some lives . To my friends Farnk
and other people here asking me why I thought my 6'6" cousin looks taller
than Sid ? My frindes Taylor Mane looks in one glance to be taller than Andre,
and Andre if he is not standing next to other people looks only like 6'3" .
But when Andre stands next to Taylor or other people , we see a different
story . Sometimes my friends a persons body structure makes them look shorter
then they really are . I hope I had answered your question Frank and if you
have more I would very gladly answer them .

This is getting agreedgious, Big Show gets 7'0 for being about the same amount taller than 5'8 159 Floyd Merryweather as Sid is with 5'8 Manum. On the left picture this guy does look 6'6.5, however on the right picture he looks 200 cm (6'6.75). Just looking at that picture with more attention you can see he's slightly leaning to the left, it's almost unnoticeable but he may lose a quarter or half an inch. The girl in the front was a News Paper reporter for the Dubai gulf News,and
the taller guy beside was one of the Holiday INN Crown Plaza's management
team . But the other tall guy standing behind Sid was a very good friend of
name whos name is uncle Bashir . He stands 6'2" barefeet and I also have
a picture of him and Bruce Wiles and Cindy Crawfard and Amithab Bachan . He
towers over both Bruce and Cindy , but is a little taller than Amithab . It
will take some time for me to dig these pictures out of my thousands of
pictures that I already have in a storage in California , USA.

If anyone could find this I would greatly appreciate it cuz I'm just curious. I remember shortly after Survivor Series 96, when Sid won the belt, he was in the ring during an interview with HBK and I think McMahon. He said something like, "I need a real challenge" and UT came out. They had a staredown and Sid looked taller. I remember I was crushed cuz it meant UT wasn't 6'10" lol but this was years ago, I may have been looking at the eyeline. Does anyone remember this raw or know how to find it?? I believe Hogan's next surgery was in 1998 where he lost 3/4", bringing him down to a flat 6'4". Scott Hall was a bit taller than him at this point. You should know that at that angle taker has no advantage...we´ve seen that loads of times in ring with the ropes as reference, just look at their feet, If you try to measure both men from the picture there´s a big difference between the 2.
