Again, I had the privilege to meet Mr. Poitier. He is no way 6'2 This man was at least 6'5 ! He was georgeous, and stunning to look at.

I think most of the posters on Sidney Poitier's page are correct: this guy was easily 6'3" in his younger days. I saw recent pictures of him with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman. Sidney and Morgan look to be in the 6'2" range now, and Clint looks just a hair shorter at 6'1" - 6'1 1/2". I think today that Poitier is standing his tallest at 6'2".
