English Author and former Model. On her modelling agency she was listed as 5ft 11. In her biography she said "One of my oldest and best friends is Emma, 5ft to my 5ft 10."

I went into Prada recently to get some boots. The assistant said, 'We don't carry them in a seven and a half, that's awfully large'. I said, 'I'm six foot tall. Of course my feet are going to be that size or I'd fall over'.

I’m watching Tales of the Unexpected, the brainchild of Sophie’s grandfather, Roald Dahl. It occurred to me that Roald the writer might be tall, so I checked it out online.
He was indeed, at 198cm! It would be splendid if Roald could have a page please, Rob. He was married to Patricia Neal, who must have been around 5ft9, so exceptionally tall for her day.
Sophie gets 5ft11.

7.5 isn't "awfully large" for a woman
at all, particularly of her height, 9 would be big for a woman. Her and Jamie seem like a very cool couple.

In these celebrity galas the women usually wear high heels to increase their height and their
male companions might as well be walking in their bare feet. Maybe wear some "Tom Cruise" shoes
that increase the height by 3 to 4 inches.

I don't think i'll go with only 5'11-5'11 1/4 more i look at her, she really pull off looking 6'0 but i wonder if she is atually 182cm and just go with claiming 5'11.

I remember when Sophie first started modelling. She was a successful outsize catwalk queen, but she achieved slimness and has maintained a healthy weight ever since. Well done Sophie!
The granddaughter of children's author Roald Dahl and actress Patricia Neal, it isn't difficult to figure out where Sophie gets her tall height from. Roald was a huge 6ft6! I don't recollect the height of Patricia Neal, but I am fairly sure that I have written on her page.
I have no doubt that Sophie is 5ft11, but I have come across - and disbelieved - 6ft for the lady. Originally born Sophia Holloway, the changing of her name to Dahl was a good move on her part. How else would we have been able to connect her to her grandfather?
