Even Martin St Louis himself has admitted in an interview that he isn't 5ft9. He said that he is 5ft8, but they list him taller. Another good example is that when Brian Rafalski came to Finland he was listed 5ft11 during the last seasons in Finland he was listed 5ft8.5. Now he is back in NHL and is usually listed 5ft10. They often exaggerate the height of hockey players who are shorter than 6ft.

If Smith is 5-8 1/2, then Tiki is under 5-8. Steve Smith showed that he had a full inch on him on video. I doubt Steve Smith is under 5-9.

You're right about Chris Chambers. I thought he was 6-1-6-2. Yet was shocked to see him listed at 5-11. Couchscout has him at 6-0, though. So maybe couchscout is right?

My conclusisons: Tiki is 5-8.25 and Steve Smith is 5-8.5
I think people just assume NBA adds ~1.5-2" to everyone but most don't realize that MLB/NFL can too. I saw ex-Red Sox Brian Daubach in a bar and he was definitely under 5-11, barely 5-10 and he was listed at 6'. The one NFL guy that seems taller than his listed height is Chris Chambers. 5-11? I would've guessed at least 6-1.

I think the NHL does exaggerate. Martin Brodeur of the Devils was listed originally at 6'1", then 6'2" later on, but a video game I was playing had him at 6'0". It also had 6'4" Colin White at 6'2".

I think NFL tends to be accurate or within an inch of their listed heights if off. Basketball are off 1-2 inches and baseball as Viper said can be off as much as 4 inches. NHL looks kinda accurate as well.

You can watch NHL games streamed on the internet otherwise, Alex. I'm not going to tell you how though, because I'm not sure if Rob allows "urging people to do illegal things" (even though it is legal where I live, at least), lol.

But there's also another thing, I didn't know the NFL exaggerated height like that. Although they have upped some other heights, like Shawne Merrimans, who were supposedly measured at 6-2 1/2 and is listed 6-4 everywhere, if I have got it right?

Who here watches NHL? I haven't as much since they have a new channel for hockey which I don't get so the only games on around here are Rangers, Islanders and Devils games. Do you think most of their heights are accurate. Also its not the easiest to tell probably because they have on ice skates.

It was strange Viper. Sexson is a very tall dude. If he's under 6'8", it can't be by much. Randy Johnson towered over 6'2" listed Jorge Posada, but Posada is actually shorter than Mariano Rivera, who I've met in person and is really 6'0"-6'1".

While we're on the topic of MLB, I could have sworn 6'10" listed Randy Johnson and 6'8" listed Richie Sexson were the same height. I was watching a Yankees/Mariners game and they looked the same height. Sexson towers over everyone and looks 6'8", but Randy didn't look any taller.

Viper, these guys can look shorter on TV or from a distance in person. I saw Eli Manning at a Giants came 2 times and he didn't look 6'4-6'5 from a distance. Believe it or not he looked like 6'0-6'1 but he's obviously way over that but shows how a far distance can throw you off.

thats true... peterson is a big guy too( 6'1 and 217lbs offically listed), but he reminds me of bo jackson. He'll run over you or by you, so he can stay up straight b/c he is an animal. Don't know the other guy well enough. Jacobs is a damn tank, but he is a bit fumble prone.

Jacobs is a legitimate 6'4. He looks smaller on the field because when he is running with the ball he does not run with his head all the way up. That way he can have more leverage to break tackles when he is lower. However, two runners known for running with an upright style are Eric Dickerson and Adrian Peterson. Most runners try to stay lower when running though. At least that is my opinion :)

I see 5'9". The reason I say this is because if you look at at the top of the rectangle, the top of Tiki's head hits it. Glenn is at least 1" away from it. Anyways, yeah, I give him 5'9" and Glenn 5'8". Safe.

Garrett Wolfe is listed as 5'8 in some places, but he is more like 5'6.; also the previously mentioned 5'6.5 M.Jones-Drew; 5'7 Shaud Williams; 5'8 Antonio Chatman; 5'5 Holliday(LSU), etc. There are many shorter than Tiki.

Steve Smith is taller than Tiki, and Smith even bragged about it on a Sunday morning prior to a game. I think Tiki has a footwear advantage, when in reality, is no taller than Glenn.

Actually I just looked and saw a 1997 reference around pre draft where this guy is given 5ft 8 and 3/8th height.

And in another article 5ft 8 and 5/8ths...

And in another article it joked how the 5ft 10 listing was in platform shoes because he was measured at the combine and was the same height as Westbrook...5ft 8.5.

its well known the nfl will boost height especially for running backs, since majority of them are short. theres maybe 2 or 3 running backs in the entire nfl that are 6 feet. maurice drew jones gets listed at 5 ft 7, but hes MAYBE 5 ft 5, and thats pushing it. i dont think tiki hits 5 ft 9 either, probably around 5 ft 8.5
