The old line-up were taller - the new crew however, is not. I also met Jeordie White (aka Twiggy) and Aaron North from this line up in Melbourne last year. Twiggy suprised me, he was my height at 5'8" and Aaron was 5'6".

Promotional pictures of Nine Inch Nails show Reznor as tall as the other four. They must make him stand on an apple box, even in those big Doc Martins, and the bulky muscles seem to make him shorter. Seems like he's ashamed of his dwindling height.

I think in general in the 90's mens shoes were bulkier than nowadays, but I've seen a friend of mine looking 3 inches taller than me in reality he is the same height. I just met him! I did a Glenn and waited outside his hotel after his show in Melbourne tonight. Didn't take my camera as it wasn't planned, but I'll try again tomorrow night. Anonymous, yeah I agree with you that for the younger generation anything less than 5’10” to be considered short, there will be people that will debate this and refer to statistics but we are talking about the generation of people who are currently 18-30.
Dude even though you are shorter than most guys your age you shouldn’t worry too much about it. It’s more important that you look after your body, keep yourself well groomed and dress in clothing that makes you look like the man. I am a 5'7.70" guy. My brother in-law is 5'9.5". I know these heights because I took them very precisely (barefoot against a straight level wall with a perfectly flat and level object over the head) Even though I know I am short my brother in law looks so short in stores or any where we go, he just looks like such a small guy (but in reality 5'9.5" is a normal average height. You know what that means....I am even shorter and smaller looking. But people tend to think they are taller than others or taller than they really are as an internal security mechanism. Dude, 5'7.5 -5'8" is short for any man. 5'8" looks short on the whole compared to any one who is exactly 5'10" and up. Its almost as if almost all young guys are always either a WEE bit taller than me, say 5'9" or they out tower me. I'd rather be beside a much taller guy than to be shorter by an inch or two. I mean look at how long Trent's arms are compared to Glenn's, Trent's hands are no where visible, yet Glenn's is. So if Trent is shorter than this pic, that means that his arms would be even longer. But how often do we see a 5'6-5'7" person with very long arms: not quite.
