Normally, during the season, I weigh 80-82kg, which is about 12 st 10lb - 13 st. I think that's best for my build and my height, which is five feet ten inches. Most players these days are taller and lighter, like greyhounds, but I'm more of a bulldog, as everyone is always telling me.

You should do Luke Shaw he is listed on google as 185 but on field he looks like weak 178 and in united this eason is listed 178. Also his teammates Bruno Fernandes and Wan bissaka also doesnt seem the heights they are listed. Bruno is listed as 179 but looks next to raphina who is 175 2 cm taller and wan bissaka who claims 183 is sharter than him. Please do them

His wife Coleen is half-a-foot smaller than her husband - just nice! I found out Coleen's height from magazines long before I discovered Wayne's height, which was here.

Rooney is 175cm if Beckham is 180cm. Rob is spot on. That also puts Vardy at 176cm not 178cm. Vardy is also listed at 76kg (168lbs) which seems too high. He's very slight just like 64kg Mahrez, probably less than 70kg.

This is an issue sometimes in soccer with 17 year olds making professional debuts...you don't really get that with nfl when most of the guys are 20-21 and done growing by the time they turn pro's.

I think footballers in general are getting taller. Obviously, there are still many great players below 5'10. But I just see a trend towards taller players, now. Player position is also important. Where usually defenders are preferred to be taller, as the extra height comes in handy.

I think he is closer to 176cm. Was listed at 178cm at Everton at age 16, but that was an exaggeration to add to his status of "wonder kid"...that measurement went on for several seasons but when he got to Manchester United, he was very similar in height to Ji Sung Park (176cm-177cm) and a bit taller than Nani (175cm).

@c-mo yes I agree. In 2-3 hours I am in the typical height of the day. I would also say that when Rob lists for example 175 it can be 174.5 or 175 exactly, because 174.5 is rounded at 175 perfectly and we don't use decimals. I guess he means 175 solid in listings here. Although, most of us have the same height in the evening that in the hour you said.Anyway I agree with you, some medical tests for footballers are earlier of that hour so I discount a bit of them... like Piqué case

I would also say that when Rob lists for example 175 it can be 174.5 or 175 exactly, because 174.5 is rounded at 175 perfectly and we don't use decimals. I guess he means 175 solid in listings here. Although, most of us have the same height in the evening that in the hour you said.Anyway I agree with you, some medical tests for footballers are earlier of that hour so I discount a bit of them... like Piqué case

I think people should be listed in the usual height of the day, that is 10:00 a.m -18:00 p.m, so typical medical measurements would be valid, unless they are made very early in the morning (8:00-9:30), as it could be the case of some players from time to time.

imo your real height is 2-3 hours out of bed . so not your TALLEST after fresh out of bed for seconds/minutes nor your night height . why 2-3 hours instead of 6 hours for example ? because medically speaking our morning height is our true height but since most of us are not active and not among other people when we wake up (we shower , drink coffee , eat breafast , take some time to become really awake before we go out) but 2-3 hours after we are already outside and walk around (depending on the schedule of each person of course but I am speaking in general) and that height should be taken IMO . so 176cm in rooneys case

@cmo This site usually lists people at their lowest height? Or maybe I am missing something? :D But yeah in my eyes is median height is 176cm or roughly about 5ft9.25-5ft9.5, he does not drop under 175cm/5ft9 at night. The listing is correct.
