Even though he always wore doc martin style boots on fresh prince, he always came up to the eyebrows of 6'4.5 James Avery. If you consider the shoes difference that would make him a weak 6'1.
He also looked the same height as 6'1 listed Brian Stokes Mitchell on fresh prince in spite of the fact that smith had a bit of a footwear advantage. And Brian is definitely 6'1 on the money because he appeared in frasier a few times as Frasier's neighbour Cam winston. And he and kelsey who is 6'1 looked the same height dead on.
So this is more proof that smith is a weak 6'1.
Also, 6'2.5 MC Gainey definitely had Smith by around 2 inches in Fresh prince and they were both in boots. Watch the episode "robbing the banks" for proof. The stand next to each other a few times and the difference in height between them is no way only half an inch.

Here is the height chart from HANCOCK, stop it at 1:07 - 1:08. Will Smith looks about 6'3" with shoes (or boots?) on. I guess Will has hanging shoulders and a slightly long neck since he is 6'3" while his shoulder tip is about 5'0", that’s a 15/16 inch difference!!! Smith’s head is a normal 10 inches and from the top of his head to where his neck meets his shoulder there are about 12 inches; roughly 3 inches of sloping shoulder. Good proportions though. Alright, I'm not obsessed with downgrading Will's height like Shredder is, but it seems like a lot of celebrities are automatically downgraded an inch or so from their own claims (For proof, just type in "How tall is. . ." on Google, which shows you a celebrities claim, and then check their listing on this site, which is almost always shorter than Google's listing), but Will gets this listing based entirely on his claim. 6'0 MAX is Will's height, just take a look at him next to Tom Cruise. They talk about his posture and in some pictures he is not slumping over and Tom is standing fairly straight. I think the consensus for TC is that he is not over 5'8", which would be in Will's favor when you try to determine the difference and if Will is OVER 4" taller than Cruise (in the picture mind you), I will buy you all steak dinners at Benihana's. Anyway..don't yall tell me that I am going to go broke now..just google his picture with TC. You guys have to understand, this is Hollywood and these guys want to be as tall as they can be.

Scrolling down this page, we have photographic and eyewitness evidence that Will is closer to 6'1". No one has offered proof that Will is 6'2" or 6'2.5" as he says. Supporters of the claim just say he "looks" 6'2" or more to them, and say that he was just "slouching" in every piece of evidence suggesting he's 6'1". I'm not sure of Will's height, but the comments are definitely persuading me toward 6'1". Maybe he's a weak 6'2" (Like 6'1.75) out of bed, but I seriously doubt his 6'2.5" claim has any veracity behind it.

He looked 6'2 in I, Robot and through the bulk of the film wore converse all stars. How much height do those give? I will admit, I, Robot was the first time he looked his stated height to me.
