Compare to the 186.8cm guy from height challenge this guy is more than 1.8cm shorter. Probably a 183-184cm guy with Jenny in this pic (Rob dropped his posture quite a bit so he's shorter than Jenny).

Not that rare to see old folks this tall, Larc (and the other guy was joking). You just figure it would be, seeing as the average height has increased... But there have always been tons of 6'2"+ guys walking the streets. My grandpa on my mom's side will be 80 next month, and he stands 6'3" now (as tall as me). Says he used to feel kind of tall around normal people but knew a lot of guys his height. My other grandad is 6'1" now and only thought of himself as tall when he was an early bloomer. the men who are under 6'1 or 6' hardly lose any height. It is not common to see an old man who is over 6'1. Maybe because they are all dead because shorter people seem to live longer or there were not many people over 6'2 70 years ago. anyway i would think the healthiest height to be is between 5'-6'1. i wonder what happens to these basketball players when they get old. some of those guys are 6'8-6'11! Rob, is it true that tall men generally lose more height aging than average or shorter men? What did you experience in that matter?

Definitely around 6'2, at least during the run of the X-Files. He was clearly a couple of inches taller than both Duchovny & Mitch Pileggi back then, but maybe he's shorter today? He's over 70 so it's definitely possible, even likely, that he's shrunk. I see Rob has his current height listed as 6'1 as well.
6'2.5 just might be correct for his peak height too, as a young man. After all, when the X-files was being filmed between 1993-2002, he was already in his 50s/60s by then, so maybe he had already shrunk by that time and was down to 6'2 flat? That's what i think anyway. |
