On david letterman recently he looked 3 inches shorter than 6'1.5 Letterman so I think 5'10.5. At the beginning you only get about a half second glance at Sandler's footwear but they look like your average shoes. Lettermans shoes are visible for longer. Here's the link

In the pics that i have search of the new film of Jennifer Aniston "Just go with it" he is a bit taller than he goddess Brooklyn Decker (out of heels) who is supose to be 1,75m. Just on Oprah. Probably no more than 5'9 in shoes; Oprah in her big high heels was definitely an inch or two taller than him. Jen Aniston was also in heels and was as tall or taller. I don't think he had any special footwear on but who knows.

Gamble, you are correct. In Hollywood and Sports, there is the two inch rule. Many males are given an inch or two more than they are, while taller female stars will downgrade their height to be able to work with these shorter actors. (This means you Nicole Kidman!)
Gamble, you are correct. In Hollywood and Sports, there is the two inch rule. Many males are given an inch or two more than they are, while taller female stars will downgrade their height to be able to work with these shorter actors. (This means you Nicole Kidman!)

Maybe I am off, but for instance I have a friend that claims 6'1 and i'm sure if on this site would get listed no less than 6'0 and ppl would swear no less than 6'0 but he's really 5'10 3/4 cuz he has a twin that's the exact same height that claims 5'11 and he says his brother lies by sayin 6'1, I think this is a case with most celebs and I think lifts/elevators are a tad under-rated cuz most wear them, plus some claim morning heights, easy to see where ppl would disagree. Even if we did nail their heights down exactly, we haven't really accomplished anything, lol, just fun to discuss!

Thanks Clay, sorry for going off or sounding rude, I just take things the wrong way and I promise I really don't constantly downgrade, it seems it but some I think are their legit heights listed are more, for instance seth rogen, downey jr, conan o'brien, leo's close to what Rob has him I think, and i've named many more on Cruise's page that I don't really downgrade, but the reason I think it seems I downgrade so much is all the ppl I listed that I think are the height listed, it just seems pointless for me to post on those cuz I already agree with their heights...see what i'm tryin' to say, it's more of a debate to comment on the heights I disagree with than the ones I do, sorry I came off rude, I try to be respectful as I can and respect other ppl's opinions, guess I just felt attacked, when you're considered a "downgrader", you get attacked alot, haha! Oh and Clay, how can you say 5'8-5'9 is below average?? Averages in the us are based on what...likely visits to the doctor where they measure height. Keep that in mind, last 3 times I saw the Doc I was measured with shoes on and the very last time I had boots on...So assuming that they take the average height guesstimations from doc visits, that right there would put it off. Only once have I been measured with my shoes off at the doc's office and that's been at more than one office, I even asked the nurse one time why they didn't make ppl take their shoes off and she said so they won't feel shorter than they are because most ppl when actually measured show up shorter than they are. I know a guy that even argued with the nurse cuz he got measured 5'9 and he swore he was 5'11 and the nurse eventually put that down as his height. So if you're actually gonna say that the TRUE average american height is greater than 5'9 then you're ignorant, I would personally log anything between 5'8-5'11 average, 5'8 low end, 5'11 high end. Oh and Clay, how can you say 5'8-5'9 is below average?? Averages in the us are based on what...likely visits to the doctor where they measure height. Keep that in mind, last 3 times I saw the Doc I was measured with shoes on and the very last time I had boots on...So assuming that they take the average height guesstimations from doc visits, that right there would put it off. Only once have I been measured with my shoes off at the doc's office and that's been at more than one office, I even asked the nurse one time why they didn't make ppl take their shoes off and she said so they won't feel shorter than they are because most ppl when actually measured show up shorter than they are. I know a guy that even argued with the nurse cuz he got measured 5'9 and he swore he was 5'11 and the nurse eventually put that down as his height. So if you're actually gonna say that the TRUE average american height is greater than 5'9 then you're ignorant, I would personally log anything between 5'8-5'11 average, 5'8 low end, 5'11 high end. Danimal if he is 5'9'' tops that puts Kevin James a shade under 5'8'', which I just cant see. Sandler looks completely average to me in all types of footwear, I cant see him not being a 5'10'' guy. Just my two cents, I have never seen em in the flesh.

The man used to describe himself as 5'9" on Saturday Night Live. NO WAY is he taller than that. They boosted his height to 5'10" when he made it in the movies.

I saw Sandler on a basketball court in L.A. It took me a second to recognize him primarily because he was much shorter than I expected. I believe he was no taller than 5'9"

Ill agree with 5'10 but I just watched Chuck and Larry last night and he looked pretty close to 5'11 in alot of scenes. Sandler has gotta few funny movies but he also has his production company Happy Madison which also makes good movies, Sandlers not in them but he helps produce them and what not, two words, Grandmas Boy, funniest movie ever period.

I always thought he was around 5'6"-5'8" but realized it was because all of his earlier movie's he was around tall guys, kevin Nielen, Norm McDonald, Apollo Creed... After seein Zohan, 5'10" seems about right, he towers over most cast members

Adam looks to be in better shape for his upcoming role (You Don't Mess With The Zohan) So maybe his posture is a little better? I wouldn't be suprised if he is pushing 5' 11" nowadays.

Yeah, I dont know how some of you really dont like Sandler. He has made some great movies (Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, Anger Management, 50 first dates) and he has showed he can also be a good serious actor too. Just a great overall talent. And yeah, he has always looked 5'10'' to me.

A term used frequently on this site that I don't like is 'upgraded' when somebody is taller than he was originally thought to be or 'downgraded' when he's shorter than expected. It sounds as though suddenly gaining half an inch in height makes you a better human being.

haha. sf I agree! I always thought that sandler is taller. Bbut when I watched him in Mixed Nuts with Steve Martin, I literally went like "What the f***?"

Editor Rob to answer other question, Bruce 6ft peak is as possible yes, 6ft 1 is also possible. But in my opinion that is a much lower possibility than 5ft 11.5-6ft range to me.
