Yeah, I really feel for Joseph Cotten's character that she walks right past him at the end of The Third Man and in Senso it really doesn't make sense, as she's so gorgeous, Farley Granger's ultimate cruelty to her, I wonder if his character was even attracted to women.

She had a dark and brooding presence in films like Third Man and Paradine especially. Eyes Without a Face is a most curious film, a masterpiece i think.

Rob can you add a photo and films 1900, The Paradine Case, The Spider's Stratagem and Il Grido. Agreed with Sam, beyond striking in Senso!!

She was incredibly gorgeous back in the day, could have been like a Austrian Greta Garbo, although not quite as tall and she obviously never attained those heights of stardom after her "scandal". All of the movies mentioned at the top are great (well, Lisa and the Devil is entertaining at least), also she was in Bertolucci's mixed 1900 and excellent The Spider's Stratagem.
