How tall is Eric Lange

Eric Lange's Height

5ft 10 ½ (179.1 cm)

American actor, known for appearing in TV shows such as Escape at Dannemora, Narcos, Victorious, The Bridge and Lost. In a GoldDerby interview he said "I’m tall. I’m 5’11”, 6’0” and a slender frame by nature so the 10 or 15 pounds didn’t really have that much of an effect. We sort of kept going and I guess it was a month into production we had peaked and I started at 175 and wound up at about 212 [pounds]".

What is it with 5ft 10½in people claiming to be 6ft?

Americans are pretty small for a western state. 176cm (5'9) is pretty small here in Northern and Central Europe. Maybe in the US 5'11 is tall but here being tall is 190+cm (6'3+). My evening height is 186cm (6'1) and there are days where I feel quite small

----------

6'3" + is more the start of very tall so you get comments on your height. You should feel tall most of the time Deniz if you're legit 186 cm barefoot. Ofc if you have a group of young guys maybe you don't feel tall as they might be all 5'11-6'2" or more.

I'm 6'0" at night and consider myself above average. 6'1"+ I would say a guy is tall.

Lol at calling 5’10 tallish

@ Sandy Cowell - Each area is different though.

I don’t think his claims are unfounded, he’s above average so why shouldn’t he call himself tall! People seem to be quite happy to call men small if they are 5’7.5”.

IMO
5'11-6'0 Kinda Tall
6'1-6'3 Tall
6'4-6'6 Very Tall
6'7+ Freakishly Tall

Deniz, agreed...but what I find even more laughable is that he’s not even 5ft11 barefoot

I do Nik - whenever I go out! 😏

I think weak 6’1 could be the start of “tall”

Calling 5'11 tall is a bit ridiculous. If you're 183cm (6'0) at afternoon/night, you can say it starts with being tall. Although I would call myself tall publicly at 6'3 or above

Once you're 6'0½ in a country like the US, you begin to move into the "tall"-category. (I pick that as a threshold, since that marks a standard deviation above the median height among men in the US.)
At 5'11-6'0 you'occupying a strange position between 'average' and 'tall' and consequently a lot of men in that range are quite confused as to how to classify themselves height-wise. I'm nearly 6'0 tall myself (182½cm at night), and I while I felt taller than average while visiting New York City a few years back, I didn't feel outright tall. There's still a decent number of 6'2 (and above) men walking around most places.

@ Sandy Cowell - I don't!

Good point, aIOO1! I've seen many such an example! 😉

I don’t regard 5ft11-6ft as tall anyway...but since he’s not even that barefoot

Smh

A legit 5’11 is a great height and definitely is on the tall side. Most people that say they’re 6’1 are 5’11.

Some might feel his tall claims are unfounded, but no complaints from me! He's fairly down-to-Earth about his height, and 5ft11 is quite tall, after all!

I go with just that - 5ft11. 😁👍
