Gavan O'Herlihy is the son of Dan O'Herlihy who starred in the early 60s in a show called, The Travels of Jamie McPheeters. Kurt Russell played the title role, and Charles Bronson hired on as the leader of the Wagon Train. So, I thought it was interesting when Dan O'Herlihy's son was in a Death Wish film with Charles Bronson.

I had guessed him about 2" shorter than 6'4" Dolph Lundgren in Hidden Assassin(1995) so I had him 6'2". Maybe it was just 1.5", but certainly not less and I definitely thought more 2" considering Dolph's bigger than average head. I suppose he did look lanky as the unforgettable "Fraker" in Death Wish 3, but 6'2.5" is even a bit taller than I imagined this guy.

Look quite tall on season 2 of Twin Peaks too. He could pass as William Atherton's more handsome brother.

Well, if that picture is from 'Happy Days', and it sure does look like it is, no wonder I don't recognize it! I went out of my way to avoid the programme! The Bond film is another I haven't seen!
It looks very much as though I am going to have to accept that Gavan is 6ft2.5, and no questions asked! 😛
Editor Rob: yeah gavan was only in it at the start, so like 1974, but a mere young fella, who I think generally looked his claim through his career.
