Rob, at 23:05 you should find a good bit of footage between Ventura and Jackson.

If you require any more Ventura footage to get him a page, I am more than happy to help. I admit he is a tricky one.

Rob, does Lino Ventura pass for 5’7.25” with 5’8” Gordon Jackson?

Think I'd need to see footage of them together to deduce the difference.

Wasn't Gordon in some great films and TV programmes? My favourite film was 'The Great Escape', which my Mum allowed us to watch when we were still pretty young. I remember being upset when the dog was run over, but I think that could have been from 'The Dam Busters', which I saw at much the same time. Yes, it was!

Height-wise, 5ft8 or thereabouts is much what I was expecting.

Gordon gets 5ft8.25 for his peak. 🕯️

He was taller than 5ft8. There's an episode of The Professionals where he's walking along with James Faulkner who Rob has met and lists at 5ft11.5 peak, and I couldn't see any more than 3 inches between them. In fact I'd say it more like 2.5 inch difference. I'd give him 5ft8.5 minimum.

Jackson was no less than 5'9" - needs an upgrade Rob. He was taller than Martin Shaw, who's listed here at 5'8.5", and looked to be about an inch shorter than an old 5'11" Bernard Archard.

In season 3 they were closer in height than season 1 (bigger heels), but I would never have guessed Jackson looked taller than Shaw in that show.

Still feel 5ft8 is too low for him, in the professionals he only looked 2-3 inches shorter than James Faulkner and never more than 2 inches shorter than Lewis Collins when well into his fifties.

Rob, what made you go for 5'8,i thought he was 5'9 ? If he was 5'8 then M.Shaw was 5'7.5 and Lewis Collins 5'9, which i struggle to believe.

I thought in films he could look around 5ft 8 range, I was never convinced he was 5ft 9 range
