Oh brilliant, Rob - thank you so much! I was hooked on Dixon of Dock Green in the late 60s/early 70s. My favourite episode was called ‘Looters Limited’, and it was about a bunch of shoplifters who sold what they’d pinched. Of course they got caught, but it was a lot of naughty fun along the way!

I was surprised how Jack stood out for his tall height in The Quatermass Xperiment. I had never seen the 1955 version before, but there was an offshoot series in the 60s, I believe, and I did see that sometimes.

Yes, 5ft10 was tall in the 50s.
