@Giovannino: If Sinner is 188-189, that makes Alcaraz 178-179, which is absurd. The lowest you can argue for Sinner is 190 the same way the lowest you can argue for Alcaraz is 180.
Both their listings are perfect as is. No need for an upgrade or downgrade.

In my opinion Rob, Sinner is 1.88 cm at most, 1.89 cm at most but not more

I think 6ft3.25 is okay but I'd agree that there's more chance of 6ft3 flat than say 6ft3.5 for Sinner. He probably measured 191 at midday. At times he doesn't look more than 1.5 inches taller than Djokovic.

@Rob Any chance of a downgrade to 6’3? With most players he looks 6’3 sometimes a bit under.

Editor Rob
Last time I looked at him, I felt there was a greater chance he cleared 6ft 3.

Don't think you've got this one right Rob.. Just saw Sinner and Alcaraz play yesterday and he didn't look 4 inches taller.. 3 at the most.. I think Sinner is bang on 189cm
Jay37 said on 15/May/25
He's more like 190cm
. Looks taller than he is because of his slim build.

A strange case. I'm not sure he deserves 6'3, let alone 6'3.25. I wouldn't put his minimum below 6'2.5, however. I've ruminated much over this particular case—let me first dispel some common myths about a contentious stature. Firstly, he didn't grow much past 17-18, that much is evidently observed looking at a picture of him and Federer in the 2019 Italian Open (May), when Sinner was not yet 18
A quick comparison with an extremely recent photo, when Sinner is undoubtedly past the point of even the latest maturers growth, shows that his stature has not changed much.

Footwear in the latter photo is obviously very similar, and while the first photo's footwear is not pictured, it's unlikely that there was more than a quarter of an inch difference between their tennis shoes, so any disparity may be attributed to posture or daily variation, both of which, I think, account for very little in this scenario. To be honest, despite appearing a solid 6'3 at times, I'm not certain he's over 6'2.75.
My most compelling case for a sinner 6'2.5-2.75 arises from a comparison with Tsitsipas, who, to my understanding, has probably the most consistent posture and tour while boasting a very good height of 6'3.75-6'4 (and I would also submit a request for his inclusion on this page), which makes for a very useful comparison. Tsitsipas, for instance, consistently edges out Kyrgios, is essentially the same with Monfils, has a clear two to three inches over 6'1-6'2 players (Federer, Djokovic, Dimitrov), holds up extremely well next to near-verified 6'6 players (Zverev, Medvedev, Khachanov), and is nigh-towering consistently next to players like Alcaraz, when a player like Sinner can only sporadically possess this difference. In light of this, I believe this picture will suffice for a small but appreciable downgrade for this listing.

He really did grow a decent bit after 18. One of the really rare cases. 6’3 - 6’3.25 is a good guess.

6ft2 is probably perfect for a tennis player. You've got enough height and reach for serving and getting stray balls, but also not too tall compromising movement and making reaching low drop shots tough. Sinner is someone I think its easy to overestimate in height, very lean and gangly build, quite a small head and long limbs.Id probably go for 6ft3 flat personally, doesn't really tower Alcaraz imo.

Rob, what would you say is the ideal male height for tennis in the modern era? It seems that at one point it was 6ft1-2 (185-188cm) with the big three, but it's rising these days. I'm thinking 6ft3ish is now the ideal height with a range of 5ft11-6ft6

Editor Rob
6ft 3 I think is a good all round height today.

Are the heights you mention on this website measured in the evening?"

Think more towards lunch range.

I can see 191 being a low for him
Orkodine said on 27/Apr/25
He is the same height as Draper and Shelton. He Said in an Interview that he stopped growing in 2023 and that he is 192-193cm. He is 6’4.
Andrea said on 27/Apr/25
He did claim "192-193" too a few months ago... Are you sure he really isn't over 6'3, Rob?
I remember last year when seeing him with some footballers like Buffon
Click Here I thought he could pass for that actually, although I also think he had more footwear than them...
If he's just about 6'3, that's even worse news for Boris Becker, considering how short he recently looked with him!!!

Editor Rob
Becker is looking shorter each year, but I can see the case for over 6ft 3, maybe 192 isn't too hard to believe at times.

Difference in height varies, but generally, he has about 1.5 inches on Djokovic, sometimes a bit less and sometimes a bit more. On average, 6ft 3 indeed checks out.
