How tall was Leo McKern

Leo McKern's Height

5ft 6 (167.6 cm)

Australian Actor remembered for the TV series Rumpole of the Bailey and films such as The Blue Lagoon, Ryan's Daughter, Ladyhawke and A Man for All Seasons. In a 1965 book - Stars of Australian Stage and Screen - it described Leo as "Five feet six inches tall."
I'm 5ft 7ins, overweight, used to smoke 60 cigarettes a day (and later 35 small Rumpole-style cigars), and I never take any exercise if I can help it. In a way I'm astonished I have lasted 68 years.

He may have been 5'6" in his youth, but by the time I saw him (up close) he could only have been about 5'4" at the most. I knew he wasn't a tall man, but I was surprised to find him even shorter than myself (5'4" but wearing low-medium heels at the time, so probably about 5' 5 1/2" in shoes).

Heights are barefeet estimates, derived from quotations, official websites, agency resumes, in person encounters with actors at conventions and pictures/films.
