Neil was totally dwarfed by Colin Salmon in Midsomer Murders episode "The Witches of Angel's Rise".

I think Neil needs a peak/current height..

That was a fantastic episode of Inspector Morse, entitled ‘The Way Through The Woods’.

His wife was corrupt, and by association, so was Neil’s character, Michaels. His wife shot Michaels and she was shot in a tussle with Lewis and Morse.

In this episode, Lewis is tempted by a better paid job, but when he sees the bloke slapping a young boy about, he blows him out.

5ft10, peak.

I’m beginning to find this Midsomer business a bit distasteful. A policeman shot a dog, and it wasn’t with a tranquilliser gun either. Poor doggie was only trying to protect his master!

Anyway, my suspicions are growing as to who committed the murder, as the man’s wife was having an affair.

If this gets any worse, it’ll be only one step short of ‘The Wicker Man’; well maybe not THAT bad, but mystical enough, and rather interesting.

Urgh! That’s a bit on the disgusting side for daytime TV, Neil! A bloke has been killed on ‘Midsomer Murders’ and plonked on a Druid site for the crows to pick at, on what is known as a bloodstone. Apparently, it’s all to do with blood sacrifice - yuck!

5ft10.

On an episode of 'Midsomer Murders', entitled 'Saints and Sinners', Neil was looking through a list of names. One was Skidmore, and I wondered if I typed it out, my autocorrect would change it to something a little different, something that might raise a much-needed laugh, considering the cruelty of the. murders contained herein. 😟

No such luck. It didn't!

Neil gets 5ft10. I've known two friends by that name. The blond one, a Leo, 🦁 is 6ft3 and the ginger-haired one, a Scorpio, 🦂 around an inch less, so both very tall.

How disgusting! A man has just been murdered in the fictitious town of Midsomer by someone using a PLANE as the murder weapon. The victim was struck by the plane's rubber wheel and his head caved in.

As I said - disgusting and cowardly.

5ft10 for Neil, although at 60, it's not impossible that the average of 5ft9.75 is more accurate nowadays.

Neil also appeared in one episode of Lovejoy (1991), where he played a cop again. Looked only about an inch taller than Ian McShane, and about the same height as Chris Jury.

Here with Ian McShane Click Here

With Chris Jury Click Here

I dont know how tall Chris is, but he doesn't look much taller than Ian Click Here

I would have guessed Neil is around 175cm.

What a superb addition Rob - and thank you very much! I recognised him in 'Inspector Morse' the other day*, only he wasn't the law-abiding fellow from 'Midsomer Murders'!

I believe he was born in January 1961 (I'll check that out!), so there is a possibility that Neil is a little bit shorter now, but to judge from the episode of 'Inspector Morse', which was definitely one of the very latest ones to be made, which means he'll still have been in his late thirties, I think 5ft10 is an excellent guess for this gentleman, but no less... back then, at least!

5ft10 it is!

* Episode 29, entitled 'The Way Through The Woods'.

5ft 9.5 today is a possibility.
