He has been described as six foot five but I find that hard to believe as I thought Powell edged him out in an episode of The Saint. Furthermore, Robert La Bassiere was at least four inches taller than Allen in Revenge of the Pink Panther and Allen seemed only slightly taller than George Lazenby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

I've just caught some of an elongated 'On The Buses', a feature-length one in which Olive has a baby, and they show him breaking wind, which was a bit daring for its day!
Nosher looked tall alright so 6ft2.5 goes in the bus. Eh, sorry, the BOX!

Rob, Lenny should get a page. Notorious bruiser in his day....described both 6ft2 and 6ft3. He appeared in Lock Stock right before his death and was taller than Vinnie. He was what they called an "unlicensed boxer"...bare knuckles and all that.
I'd give him the same as Nosher

Editor Robyeah I can't see a full 6ft 3 for him. 6ft 2 or 2.5 I'd believe. He probably lost height by 40's, he looked older than he was. Says he's almost 45 in that clip.

Rob, thank you for this addition. I could buy as much as 6’3” for Powell, but 6’2.5” seems a better estimate, in accordance with his spotlight listing. In an episode of The Saint, I recall Powell had more than one inch on Roger Moore.

Nice one Rob, not one I'd have thought you'd have added. Now might be a good time to downgrade Mike Pratt to 5'11.5 though (in keeping with Kieron), Nosher had an easy 3 inches on him in Randall! I once read 6 ft 4 for him but it looked too high. I had him at around 6'3 but this is probably a legit measurement.
