Ooh! My original comment has gone for a Burton! Anyway, has anyone noticed how the stars from the innocent likes of 'The Waltons' and 'The Little House on the Prairie' so often go completely the other direction in their future careers? Richard Thomas went on to star in Stephen King's 'It' and another film wherein he was a stalker (with Brooke Shields being the stalkee!), and the Prairie's Melissa Sue Anderson and Shannen Doherty went into horrors too! Then so did Moses Gunn and James Olsen, both from the Prairie, were in the exceptionally stomach-churning 'Amityville II'....

I guess they must fancy a change from the goody-goody lifestyle! I see Richard Thomas, who at 5ft8, is the height that many actors strive to be, but as he's a strong 5ft8, he's decided he wants to be 5ft9 - naughty naughty!

Tonight he gets 5ft8.25.

used to be a solid 5'9, but i think he is in 5'8 range now

met Richard Thomas 25 years ago at the renaissance fair when it was held in agora hills. he was watching my daughter shoot a bow and arrow and commented on how well she was doing. standing next to him I was looking down at him. he is either 5'7&75" or a solid 5'8".iam 5"9".

I saw Richard at opening night at one of his plays. He is 5-6. But I also met his older soon, and his son is almost 6-3. It was kind of funny seeing them together.

I serve richard thomas in a bookstore once and stood next to him for some time talking with him. I am 5-5.5 and i swear he wouldbe the same height as me at the most. we both were wearing sneakers at the time.

In the film "Winning" (Paul Newman / Joanne Woodward), Thomas portrays Woodward's characters son. In a line from the film Woodward states to Newman (in relation to Thomas' character), that she has a 5 foot 7 son. I would say that Thomas would have been fully grown (about 17 - 18 years old) when the film was made.

I used to see Richard Thomas in Hollywood a lot. He used to go to this jazz club called Catalina's. I estimate him at about 5'7" on a good day. His son is pretty tall though, about 6'2", and Richard was always wearing cowboy boots when I saw him to compensate for his lack of height!
