Always looked 5'11 to me.
Obviously not 6ft or more, since he looks shorter than Arnie who himself had a boosted official height.

He looks at least proper 6’1” in every scene he’s in. He looks towering in 3’oclock high (boots could not have given him a 4-5 inch advantage) and isn’t that much shorter than Arnold in Kindergarten Cop. Also in Two Moon Junction is at least a head taller than the gorgeous Sherilyn Fenn (5’4”). Upgrade Rob?

He looks at least proper 6’1” in every scene he’s in. He looks towering in 3’oclock high (boots could not have given him a 4-5 inch advantage) and isn’t that much shorter than Arnold in Kindergarten Cop. Also in Two Moon Junction is at least a head taller than the gorgeous Sherilyn Fenn (5’4”). Upgrade Rob?

Rob, would a 5ft 11.5in upgrade be fair at least? He really does look no more than 2in below Arnold in Kindergarten Cop. He appears tallish.

How could he be only 5’11”? He’s a legit 6’1”-6’2”. Why on earth would he be listed this much above 5’11” if he really only was 5’11”. It’s because he’s taller. I estimate 6’1” 195lbs prime, 6’0” today at 59.

At first impression watching 3’oclock high I thought he was a MINIMUM 6 foot 3, perhaps 6 foot 4! Then when I saw he is only listed at 6 foot, I was gobsamcked! What basis is there that he is only 1.83m Rob? Sure he was in boots, but those are only 3cm? Not 3 inches! He stood next to 1.72m Casey Siemaszko in 3’oclock high and was a SOLID head taller than him. A head is normally 8 inches on a man, so minus 2cm difference in footwear that’s 18cm taller than 172, which would put him at 190cm! What do you think Rob?

Thank you all for the comments! For some reason he looked very tall as Buddy Revell in Three O'Clock High. My uninformed estimate would have been 1.90 m!

i think he's in the 5 ft 11 in - 6 ft 0 in range. well, arnie never been taller than 6 ft 1 in, but probably in Kindergarten cop he wore lifts, so maybe six feet is right...

I saw Kindergarten cop the other day and I agree Rob is spot on with this. He's looks a solid 6' even if he does have the face of a short guy.

Actually in Kindergarten cop they raised the mugshot by a line to make him appear like 6'4! And not 5'4! He's 6'0 in truth. He always looked 1.25-1.5 shorter than Arnold in that movie.

He was 1" shorter than Arnold in Kindergarden Cop. If Arnold was truly 6'2" then, or even 6'1 1/2", then Richard is 6'0 1/2" minimum.

I was on the Student Council & Student Bi-racial Committee with Richard Tyson @ Davidson High School in Mobile, Ala. He was our star quarterback for the winning Warriors. There's no way he could be 6'1"--his height was always on the short side. He was also born in 1956, not 1961--do the math.
