@Viper: I noticed Jeff Driskel is 6’4” on his combine too. Likely that the measurements on coach scout (at least some of them) are morning heights. That’s unless he was not actually measured at the combine and they used a different measurement. It seems Pro Days and Senior Bowl measurements are done early morning or at least similar to early morning these days

I know previously Vincent Jackson was 6’4 3/4 at the combine but 6’4 3/8 at the Senior Bowl (from Coachscout). I think people are likely measured Early morning now a days. I asked him was he as tall as me and he said he wasn’t. My guess really is 6’2.5 or 6’2.25 maybe. I wouldn’t have guessed as low as Viper did but maybe he really is. I will say that he looks physically shorter than Vernon Davis who I have met. I would put Davis as roughly 6’3”.

I'm quite surprised Rob lists him at 6'4...
It's like my friend that has been measured by doctors with a stadiometer and also by a computer while doing an exercise where he had to put his leg on something the height of a chair and than stand up and go back down (for some minutes), for the heart or something, and resulted 178 cm in both (and was also listed as 179 cm somewhere else), but i always had some doubts about him being that height really...and i finally measured him 175 cm multiple times, even his mother agreed that he didn't look as tall as 178 cm...I bet he would be listed at least 176.5/177 on this site! (unless Rob would have met him) (also consider that the 175 cm measurement wasn't even his lowest probably, we didn't do much physical activity before measuring, so he could even be more like 174.7-174.8 at a normal low)

If you're keep on saying that a decent pic is enough to figure out anyone's height, you have no room to criticize me for calling certain celebs to be lowered based on a pic, (and I typically only do that with pics of celebs standing next to Rob because Rob's pics are generally "decent"). I measured 5'9" in Converse(which add 5/8") and she then said she'd deduct for shoes. The one day I get measured happens to be one of the few days I'm not wearing boots!

@Rob: this is an example of a combine measurement being erroneous right here. The late Aaron Hernandez who “supposedly measured 6’2.3” yet was listed 6’1” his entire career. I mean to put it in words and I know that Viper and Christian and Rising will all see where I’m coming with their knowledge of American Football, Hernandez played Tight End which is a large man’s position. 6’1” is very small for a TE. They wouldn’t purposely underlist him if he really is that tall. What it comes down to is that Combines are just as bad in the NFL as they are in the NBA at overlisting. Chris Cooley a former Washington Redskins player even said as much before that he is “a hair under 6’3” or “right around 6’3” yet was measured 6’3.5 at the combine. He said this on his radio show

Personally I've been measured lower and higher at the doctor. Though to be fair that's a better measuring device then at my doctors office. Much better actually.

the camera but the angle advantage is for Shawne;and he is in a 2,5-3cm footwear advantage , yet they look about the same height. Pretty hard to see them just half inch apart. As I said, Christian, I did guess David Morrissey at 6'2 range (and many other celebrities near the height they turned out to be when Rob eventually met them), by simply looking at pics, so it is not true that pics alone "don't tell the full story". If they are decent pics, they do. Plus, it's funny that you say something like that when you are the same guy who often comments that this or that celebrity needs a downgrade, based only on one picture...
And considering how often you bring up viper and Canson's friend, it is quite hard to believe that you're not basing your estimate for Shawne on them. Editor RobSome heights are looked at a fair amount, but many might be looked at far less and in some cases years ago...so lots of edits occur over time. If I know an actor is set to appear at an event in the future, I am likely to wait until seeing them before deciding if the listing is fair or could do with a tweak 😉

Very well said, Rob. That's what I've tried to say more than once, but of course I got accused of "making excuses" by certain funny people on here... I always take with a grain of salt outside pictures, especially grass shots because sometimes the ground can be uneven, without it being that evident.

Very well said, Rob. That's what I've tried to say more than once, but of course I got accused of "making excuses" by certain funny people on here... I always take with a grain of salt outside pictures, especially grass shots because sometimes the ground can be uneven, without it being that evident.

The combine figure is erroneous. He was measured 6-2 at his pro day. Don't think the hospital worker is making it up, but he's in gigantic footwear plus being off herself.
