I see 5'11 easily possible for Steve.
How tall does his son Robert look? My guess is 5'8.5" as his eye level is a smudge higher than his mom Terri who possibly shrunk a little from her 5'3.75" listing. Steve on the other hand had an eye level no less than 2-3 inches higher even when slouching.
He's almost 17 and appears to be done growing.

I saw a video of him just now which lead me to look him up afterward. I thought he looked in that 5'10-5'11 zone.

I met him before, he looked taller than 5'11...Probably because he was in shoes...I'd say somewhere between 6'0 and a half and 6'1 with shoes.

Had the personality and presence of someone much bigger than 6ft

Farewell to the Croc Hunter; not quite a six-footer, but you had to love the guy.

forarms or arms aren't conclusive since he jumps and tries to catch things he probably had a growth in his arms, just look at monkeys they got long arms but short body.
yeah i saw that last video ....IM A 6 FOOTER.....lol i laughed at that. he looks 5'11 at most with shoes.
loved this guy. R.I.P

Irwin had very long forearms for a man under six feet.

At his last video he claimed he was 6 feet tall. In direct quotes it was something like "I'm a 6-footer, and this sea snake is 6 feet long, so he would be as long as me."
Anyway, R.I.P. Steve
