Even if you swear you have that picture, I actually agree with the Anonymous, there are many more pictures in which Tom appears to be taller. That "extremely close" you mentioned might be nothing, or at least I think is more probably. Other "references" we could take are Michael Rosembaum and Jensen Ackles, rated as 6' here. In both cases, tom seems to have at least 3 inches over them.

There was that one photo that I can no longer find (it was posted here by myself and others maybe 1.5 years ago) of Tom and John at a premiere party were both are looking dead on at the camera with decent posture and John edged Tom by a small amount, and I assume that is the photo that Rob based his estimations of Schneider edging Tom by a bit. At first glance Tom looked like he might have had the edge on John too, but he didn't.
Whatever the case, they are extremely close and footwear or minor posture variations can make one appear taller than the other. There is no way there is a full inch between them.

Yeah Patrick,everyone is leaving the show,luckily Alison Mack has been persuaded to stay,I am interested in seeing what the new team will accomplish with the show. I love Doomsday aswell,the ability to be reborn,immune to the thing that killed you is insane ,he could technically become the most powerful being in the universe(I may be wrong,it's been a long time since I was into comics). As for the French,I've only ever met two guys and they were both really canny and now you Patrick,also really canny.

AAAA, in late 2004 I went from 195 to about 215lbs in around a 2 month period and I was still in good shape, just I gained a little more in the stomach then I wanted so I cut down to 185lbs by summer 2005. I got leaner and in better shape but did lose a little strength at least, but when you cut you're going to lose a bit of muscle at least. Since then I normally flucuate from 195-200lbs which is my normal weight range.

Alex....If I had to guess I probably dropped 20lbs of muscle at least. My strenght has been sapped. My bench went from 300 max to lifting 225 twice. Although, on an interesting note, a lot of people who weren't ther during the 2 months I dropped that weight are now convince I am at least 6'3

AAAA, those 35lbs you lost I am assuming you lost some muscle mass as well right? Thats a good amount of weight to drop for someone who isn't even that heavy. Now 35lbs off someone who is obese isn't a great deal. One time my friend lost 20lbs and he's obese and I couldn't tell a difference, very small one at most.

I don't fit in with that formula. My wrists are 8, but my ankles are proportionately much bigger (don't know the measurement, but I know it's in the obese category lol). Shoe size is 15 1/2 (US), but I only have average length hands for my height (6'3'').

This also depends on how deep the muscle belly is. The space betwwen the bottom of the muscle and the joint, wrist or ankle. In no steroid situatuons, the bigger circumfrence corresponds to a "longer" muscle. I.E less space between the muscle belly and the joint it is attached to.

I can wear either 33 or 34 jeans depending on the make. Right now some 34s come comfy but for a bit more snugger fit 33 is good. I am about 200lbs now, if I got down to around 185lbs I could be a 32 without it being too snug.

I can wear either 33 or 34 jeans depending on the make. Right now some 34s come comfy but for a bit more snugger fit 33 is good. I am about 200lbs now, if I got down to around 185lbs I could be a 32 without it being too snug.

having met both kane and batista in person in street shoes, having got photos and video with them there is zero chance that kane is 6 or 7 inches taller than batista, kane is a nice guy and batista is an a**hole and i would love if he was just 2ft tall but this is getting beyond silly. I had my friends next to me meeting both guys (one of whom is 6'4 250lb) so it was easy to estimate their heights. I have proof of my meetings............

Unless Clark can figur out how to lift of the ground and then figure out how to open the so called "Rip in time".

John Schneider's bio stats say he is about 6'4" 1/2 but he looks more like 6'2".
American shoes usally have 2" of soles on them with boots. My shoes make me 6'5" becuase the sole is 1" thick sometimes.
I am also going by my drivers licence to saying im 6'5" so I subtract 1" for the shoes.
I wear a size 15" for boots and 16" for tennies and size 17" for bowling shoes not 18" my mistake. bowling shoes are made small.

John Schneider's bio stats say he is about 6'4" 1/2 but he looks more like 6'2".
American shoes usally have 2" of soles on them with boots. My shoes make me 6'5" becuase the sole is 1" thick sometimes.
I am also going by my drivers licence to saying im 6'5" so I subtract 1" for the shoes.
I wear a size 15" for boots and 16" for tennies and size 17" for bowling shoes not 18" my mistake. bowling shoes are made small.
I have a very large build to so that may throw me off. Ill think if someone is 6'4" they should have my frame but they could have a smaller frame.
That guy playing aqua Man now how tall was he? He has a torso like mine with wide broad shoulders. It is hard watching frail looking guys though playing Herculen Hero's. They don't look beleavible anymore.

Okay, so I was reading about the Justice league movie, and on the topic of height for realism in characters.....the guy playing Superman is 6'(listed or claimed) and the guy playing Batman is 6'5(again just listed). if these are even close to accurate anyone else see a problem besides me. If you play with the scroll bar, it looks to me like Masters would be in the middle to upper half of Tom Mouth, not quite at the nose base. It isn't the perfect pic, but it is the best one I have ever found so far. Chin to tip of my nose personally is 3.5 in. if Tom has a standard head (9.5-10in I think is average?? ) then he looks around 6in taller than masters, up to 6.5in. If there was any shoe advantage then he would be 6.75in taller, not saying there is or isn't. Taking into acct how the pic is positioned, it looks to me like he is 6in taller, maybe a smidge more. still 6'3 for me. Nice to read you all again.

Dude I just watched the film and there wasn't 1 decent camera angle and Deray is listed at 6'2 anyway and yes I am fan of the show along with 'many' others and pay a lot of attention,If I thought he was 6'1 I would say it,it makes no difference to me. Maybe,however the weight of supporting the Superman movie legend makes Brandon feel like he has to make an extra effort,to make himself more accessible to the public,which may make him come across as fake or not natural. Paddy,Chun Li is a Chinese character from 'Streetfighter II', an extremely popular video game that mesmerized young (and the older) with it's amazing take on the 'one on one' fighting genre(it had been done before a few times including the 1985ish 'Way Of the Exploding Fist',as titled in Britain,'Karate Champ' elsewhere I think.

Ah,Patrick! I appreciate your compliment,however I think you are confusing cleverness with drunkenness,as I was coming in from a friends birthday party and decided to put some words down. I must say,being tipsy enhanced my enjoyment of commenting. 1 hour to write a paragraph!!!! 10 minute's thinking and writing,40 minute's fending off bouts of naucea and 10 minute's of pizza eradication. It sounds fun and it was fun,that is my assumption anyway as I can't remember much about the night. My comment and a greasy mouse is the only evidence it existed.

I would just like to point out again that Terminorr is my unfunny brother,who is now gone and doesn't have a home computer.
Patrick: What my 'little git' of a brother wrote was not phonetics , it was something to 'playfully' annoy me , he's an English teacher and loves to pick me up on my grammer which is average at best.I do try though.
OK,one of the early (I think) Smallville episodes featured Tony Todd with a chronic case of the psycho shivers.I remember thinking that the height difference between Tony Todd (who I firmly believe is 6'5) and Tom Welling was slightly less than the difference between Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum.
Conclusion: If Tom is only 6'0"ish then that would make Michael Rosenbaum 5'9"ish and Tony Todd 6'2ish which is preposterous.

Patrick: What my 'little git' of a brother wrote was not phonetics , it was something to 'playfully' annoy me , he's an English teacher and loves to pick me up on my grammer which is average at best.I do try though.
OK,one of the early (I think) Smallville episodes featured Tony Todd with a chronic case of the psycho shivers.I remember thinking that the height difference between Tony Todd (who I firmly believe is 6'5) and Tom Welling was slightly less than the difference between Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum.
Conclusion: If Tom is only 6'0"ish then that would make Michael Rosenbaum 5'9"ish and Tony Todd 6'2ish which is preposterous.

I have visited America several times and find the place varied and interesting. I have not been on for quite some time but I feel the need to comment on brother h's contension that Tom is 6' tall. That is absoulutly ridiculous. I posted a while back that one of my coworkers went to highschool with Tom in Okemos MI. His name is George Styka and he knew Tom fairly well and at times drove Tom to School. When I asked him about Tom's height he replyed with at least 6'3", now this is coming from a man that is a solid 6' himself. I have a friend Jack who is 6'3" and George has met him and said Tom is as tall beyond a shadow of doubt. I just can't see George being so mistaken that he can't tell the differance between 6' and 6'3" from a 6' vantage. George cracked up when I told him that Viper thought he was 6'1", wait till I tell him now someone thinks he is 6'.
I would also like to say that you have to go with the bulk of evidence which supports a taller than 6' Welling. I've got all the Smallville dvd's and have watched the behind the scenes where they talk about how tall Tom and John are, the have the women walk on ramps and stand on boxes. In the barn set the have cut outs in the beams so Tom and John won't hit their heads, all this for two 6' guys, come on.
Then there are the interviews where people are surprised by how tall tom is, once again i can't dee anyone being surprised by 6'. Tom has said in more than one interview that he is 6'3" and the interviewers always seem to agree with this.
I know pictures are not perfect but I've seen multiple ones with Tom and Justin Hartley who ahs been confirmed by this sight as a solid 6'2" and Tom always appears as tall or taller. How could this be true if Tom is 6' or 6'1". In an interview Justin said himself Tom is an inch taller and 35 pound heavier, why would he lie? I don't think he did.
In conclusion it has been enough for me that my friend George knew Tom and puts him at 6'3" or more but than the bulk of the the evidence also supports this. Six feet is not possible or George would be crazy which he is not.
Btw, I know George's parents and know he is not lying about having gone to Okemos high and knowing Tom, they support this claim. Okemos high is not a big school and both Tom and George were born in 1977. Also I'm 5'10" doctor measured, and George has me by two inches. I really don't think George who is a smart guy could 2 or 3 inches off in his estimation of Tom's height. He has stated Tom towered over him which he could not do at 6'1".

I honesty thought Hartley was the same height maybe taller, but It is just the way they shoot it, and he is skinner. Tom Welling is clearly atleast 6'2.5. And that is at night. In the morning there is no doubt in my mind that he is a solid 6'3.

What I find funny is in Shane they put Jack Palance on a smaller horse to make him look even bigger than his already 6'3-6'4 build. And next to 5'5 alan ladd, he looked like a monster, which I suppose he was in that movie. And he could still do 1 arm pushups at like 73 or something like that. He was the man.

I feel that comics showing them now, are, in relation to what I read when younger (60ies, 70ies and partly 80ies) are made by people not understanding at all the primal concept of that semi god.

Anyway, I am happy both you continued about my comment. I think being right in concluding you agree with me regarding how important it is to preserve the nobility of the character of Superman, and the others as Batman and the surfer.

I always like the silver surfer as well, a kind of tragic figure. He and superman were tied for me, Batman was always number 1. Just cause I had it deep in my mind as a kid that if I wanted it bad enough, I could be like that. I was kinda disapointed with the rise of the silver surfer btw. I had higher hopes

The Silver Surfer was my favorite superhero as a kid. At one point I had the whole SS collection, all the 60s comics all the way up through the 90s comics. In the 90s they had a Silver Surfer - Superman crossover, and it was surprisingly good. It didn't result in the expected fan-boy slobberknocker either, just mutual respect between the two greatest comic book heroes.

That guy is the most horrendous superman I have ever seen. He looks like the FLASH. AND 6' without the looks like Dean Cain.... I hope they borrow some Brad pitt lifts, cause he is AT least 2 in to small, more like 3-4.

AAAA: bad news about Justice League: it has been delayed or even cancelled for a moment; anyway, Tom was definitely not Superman anymore; the guy they chose is a 6 foot young man I never saw and Green Lantern is green lantern!
Reportedly, the worst casting ever in relation to what needed super heroes.
According to Superman page, WB should have been turning crazy to make such a choice!
Besides, Smallville is in turn affected with the writers strike and possibly could end up with the 15th episode, predictably shot as a finale.
Actors like John Glover and Michael Rosenbaum back the strikers up as many others in this business.
When you think that a successful show as The Wild Wild West was cancelled in 69 just for being judged too violent

I need the 6th season. Whats going on with the 7th season. Has it been delayed b/c of the writer strike or something of that nature. Maybe it hasn't but I haven't been able to watch it and I am just curious of the shows progress. Justice league movie would be cool though

I haven't heard about Tom playing Superman in Miller's Justice League. Very interesting news, and I hope it comes to pass!
