I hate being short, I'm 5'2" and people constantly tell me that I'm short. They're always like "you're so short for your age" ughhhhhh it's awful :( HOW can I grow!?

I would like to offer an alternative to shoe lift inserts. Click Here also referred to as American Heelers offers similar results but through a more practical means. When shoe inserts are used that are too high, they can crowd the inside of the shoe, causing pain to the foot and ultimately the ankle, knees, and back. The Click Here method is to split the outer sole oft the with a precision cut, then add a light weight durable crepe material, the reattach the bottom of the shoe back on. This offers an aesthetically appealing look while providing the desired results. This service starts at $39.99 and is very easy to use. Please visit Click Here and contact us. Thank you, Ilya Romanov President American Heelers

hey rob you should get a picture of the elevator shoes with close ups of the ankle area. It would help us see how natural or unnatural they really look. Also how comfortable are those shoes???? They look decent from this angle.

@Chris, at 5'3.5" you have embrace being the "short guy" as someone a lot taller would have to embrace being the "tall guy". I know what you're thinking - well, being the tall guy is better than being the short guy. That's only because tall guys don't have to do anything to get attention. You have to make yourself known, be a big presence in the room. You can gain inches in peoples' minds with your personality alone. Also, don't be afraid to wear lifts! People much taller than you do it. If they help you get up to say 5'6", that's great. There is NO shame in wearing them. I'm sure you are a great guy; just please don't let height get in the way of that.

Kiran, it sounds like you might have Body Dysmorphic Disorder. In layman's terms it's where you don't have a true image of yourself, hence you feeling short at 6'3" and wearing lifts. Look into it, it might help to read some stuff about it.

Hello, I an a bit over 6´7 tall (202cm) and to all who would like to grow taller I want to say that being that tall for many people results in health problems when they get older. Up to some years ago I was absolutely content with my tall body but now at age 30 I already suffer increasing health problems. My spine has started to make troubles due to some deformations. Further, I have already signs of wear (arthritis) within my knees and hip-joints. I know that not every tall person has these problems beginning that early in life, but in general people who are tall like me get several joint- and spine-concerning problems at quite young age. So, considering the pros and cons of being small/tall one should not only look an the outward appearance which a tall body offers but one should take into account that being smaller in the long run offers better health conditions in later life.

Kiran, i am a 16 year old male from Holland, 6'4'', i am about 3.5 inches above the average height, and i dont feel small..rather on the tall side, for i tower about 60% of the people i encounter. i'd feel like a freaking giant if i'd walk among a group of 5'5 people...so, if i were you, i'd ditch the lifts(youre already almost a foot above average), and face the fact that you are considerd (very?) tall everywhere you go, what you are doing now is developing an insecurity complex
JJJ said on 1/Nov/09
Kiran// Be proud of your height but stop paying attention to it and comparing with your peers. You're tall enough to the point that you don't need to give a damn about people talking heights. I'm telling you, you'll be one of the miserable (tall) people HERE trying their hardest to downgrade others, soon developing insecurities about yourself and you'll use your height to make up for it. You'll be one miserable human being even at 6'3. Love yourself and stop obsessing over heights. You and everyone else will be happier this way.

Honestly, I think a lot of worry warts visiting this site (myself included) suffer from some sort of body dysmorphic disorder. Are there times when being short can make people bias against you? Sure. Being ugly or having a bad personality can do that too, but like height, those things are often beyond our control. It becomes unhealthy when people spend a lot of time worrying about it and feel as though every person somehow thinks bad of them because of their height. In a vacuum, being short causes almost zero problems aside from reaching things that are high up. The problems arise when we start over thinking our "problem" and feel that we know other people are thinking bad thoughts about us or that we aren't living up to societies standards. When our mind turns on us, a "problem" can become 10x worse than it actually is. This is why it's hard to convince people like me to "get over it" or "forget about it" - our minds wont let us.....thus the need for pro help. I imagine people with eating disorders are the same way. No matter how sickly skinny they become, they always see a problem with their weight.

Kiran, stop worying about your height, i was the same when i was your age. Now i'm 6'56'' and i'm doing great, trust me. Women love big men because it makes them feel safe, you'll get girls really easy mostly because you stand out from the croud and it'll be easiest for them to spot you. I recommend you start practicing your flirting skills and you'll have women at your feet, worked great for me, perhaps it will work for you also . I'm romanian btw .

i am a male of 17 years, i live in sri lanka, but im half english, my dad is 6 "1" but he was more when he was younger, and my mom is a big 5 "10". i stand 6 "3 1/2" inches in the morning, and decompress to around 6 "3" in the night. In sri lanka generally the average height for a man, believe it or not is 5"5" or less.I literally tower over 98% of the population, its even made it hard for me to get girls at a lot of points cos they feel that i make them feel small..but still for some reason i wear lifts, and they take me to close to 6"6", dont ask me why but i always feel that im short, no matter what, its a huge problem with me and i dont know how to get over it...i realise im being stupid, but i feel so insecure otherwise, any advice on a)getting taller over the next 3 years of possible growth, b)getting over my height obsession

Seriously, Short Stack stop complaining yes your 5'5 and not gonna grow be happy. Are you going to waste the one life you get worrying abou your height dear lord! To be honest with all you crazy people out there I am 5'7 and earn far higer then average income and have a beautiful wife who I love for more then her looks. She is only 2 inches shorter then me but neither of us care. Yes in some cases your height may be a disadvantage but to be honest so is being black, hispanic, or a women at many times and they all continue to live their lives so you should do. God go out get some fresh air and think about someone besides yourslef and something besides your height. I mean the majority of your problems don't steam from your lack of height(that you think is their) but your self-loath and low self-esteem. Unbelievable all of this nonsense no one out there cares about your height most people even if they judge you at first will not after they get to know your personality if it's a good one. The small number of people in the world who always do and will judge is very small and superficial and can find something wrong with anyone be it too tall, short, fat, ugly, stupid, smart or what else. Oh and by the way just so you all know what it is like saying this I feel like I am talking to over-emotional todddlers to be honest.

laurie, i think you are done growing, so my prediction for you is your height now. its very rare for a girl to grow taller after the age of 13; at 15, its even more rare. i was at my current height (5'11.3/4")by the time i was 13.

maribel, 5'8 isnt that tall for 14. i was already 5'11 by the age of 12 and am now 6". at 14, it is unlikely you will grow taller than your height now, so you arent even going to get up to the height of the average model. its really weird noone in your school is taller than 5'8...ive never seen a group of high schoolers that short!

Im 5'9" tall and 27 years old and while i dont consider myself overly worried about my height i have tried different methods over the years to increase my height. HGH is unrealistic and expensive. Stretching definitely loosens you up and help0s you to stand up straight. Height Pills are just BS. The quickest and easiest route for instant growth are insole lifts. There are also built in heels but then you have to buy some lame pair of shoes. With insoles the only thing you have to worry about is that there might be too much pressure on the top of your foot but if you experiment with a number of shoes you will find the right ones. It sometimes helps to buy a half size shoe bigger and wear higher ankle supported shoes.
I used to live in the UK and you can find the insoles on Click Here or in the US at Click Here They are pretty cheap just to try out.
I also noticed that when i started wearing them i would just wear in a pair of my Vans and leave them in there. Most days I did not wear my Vans and it became apparent to me and the people i worked with that when i wore my Vans i was much taller, Now I wear my lift almost everyday if I can. It just makes me feel different, not sure if its better but I like to be able to look down on people vs. straight in their eyes or up atthem. I know it sounds strange but it makes me feel different.

Clay, you might be a medical student, but you are wrong.

Do you really think there is a gene that determines exactly
how tall you are going to be(in optimal conditions)?

there are lots of factors:

-stress
-diet
-exercise
-quality of sleep

Now if all of these factors can give you or take some
height, you do the math.

If your genes are of somebody who is going to
be average height, it will be impossible to become
a very tall guy. But your genes don't determine
whether you will be 5'8 or 5'9 or even 5'11.

I am a female of 14 years of age and i am already 6'8" tall.I have never seen a girl or boy taller than me in my school. I find it very funny when all girls and boys stand next to me, they just look so tiny. And there is this girl in my school who is 4'7" tall and she is one of my best friends. But she never likes to stand with me as if she does she just about manages to reach my waist height, even though she is 3 months older than me.Also i am never allowed to wear any heels when in any social events with her,as she insists it.I am even taller than her when sitting on knees.i even many times lift her and carry in my arms like a baby, but she really feels when embarassed that moment. Her hands even if full streched can barely touch my lips.So when i want to kiss her i simply lift her and kiss and then keep her down, I really feel that she is like little child with me,But i really like her inspite of her short height, and we are the best friends.
Cindy, you're too tall for your age. I'm afraid you could be sufferin from gigantism, which can be deadly if not treated. You should go see a doctor.

I just discovered this webpage. After reading some of the postings here, I felt compelled to comment. I was always the shortest in my class and in my family. I never had a problem with my height. My mother took me to the doctor when I was young to find out why I was so petite. The doctor told us that he would like to try growth hormone therapy because he tried it on a boy patient who was extremely small for his age. He managed to induce 6 inches of growth over a few months. We decided to try it. The only thing this therapy managed to do was make me overdevelop in other areas, so we stopped therapy. Later on, I was examined by an endicrinologist who informed me I would always be below average height. Nothing could be done. I am a female who is 4'11 3/4 inches tall. I have a younger brother who is nearly 6'2" tall. Everyone has always asked me "what happened to you?...why are you so small?" All I can say is people can be ignorant sometimes. I have dated men from 5'3" to 6'6" tall. My height semed to be a big concern of my Mom, who by the way, is of average height. If I lost a boyfriend or a job, it was because of my height. What that had to do with anything was never fully explained to me. I am now married to a wonderful man who is 5'5" tall. He too, is shortest of his brothers and sisters. So we have that in common. I fell in love with his personality not his height. It doesn't matter how short or tall you are. It what's inside that counts. I learned at a very early age that people can be mean because of their own insecurities. That is their personal problem, not yours. My brother's daughters are 5'7" (at 15 yrs of age) and 5'8" (at 12 yrs of age. The youngest has been teased for being so tall for her age. I told her stand tall. Be proud of who you are. You cannot control how tall or short you are so you might as well accept who you are. As I stated before, I never had a problem with my height until other people had a problem with it. All I can say to those people are grow up and get a life. Hope this has helped those of you who had concerns about you heights. Relax and be yourself. You are beautiful just the way you are.

My uncle told me to drink 4 glasses of milk a day when I was 13 and I did that till I was 18 I also stretched and took some cod liver oil and vitamin A and D oil capsules. When I was 14 I was 5'1". at 18 I was around 5'10. I don't know if all that stuff helped, it might have a little but I think your height is 90% genetic.

Clay said on 26/Mar/09
George you could not be more wrong. For a male anything above 5'11 is considered tall and anything above 6'3 is very tall. For a woman anything above 5'7 is considered tall and anything above 5'10 is considered very tall.

You are incorrect. I am a medical student and can confirm to you that genetics only determines how tall you can be(your maximum height potential).. after that it's up you to see if you can reach your max potential. Playing sports during puberty is proven to cause an increase in HGH release which helps you reach your maximum potential which can be 5'6, 6'4, 4'11, etc.

I measure my Height at night and those days that i lift weights and run i feel i shrink more than the other days that i don't go to the gym? anybody knows why? im past my growing years and im in my thirties. For example, im 1.8150cm out of bed and when i go running to the gym my height is 179.50cm at night, when i don't go to the gym my height is 1.80cm at night?it is like going to the gym makes me shrink those days more than my no gym days.

Then, 4 months later, I realized I grew another quarter of an inch so I was 5'3.5" I'm STILL growing. I'm actually now 5'3.7" but I'll just wait until I am 5'4" before I change my username.

So at the end with all the other things I had to developed in my personality they forget I am short. Is only people like you talking about height that reminds me of this situation when I should be making more money right now instead of writing this. lol. I am joking, this is an interesting site.

I grew up in the 1950's. When I was 10 year's old I started drinking Horlick's three times a day. I grew a foot in 18 months. I was the tallest kid in my class at six feet. I was very awkward too. They changed the formula in 1970 because the FDA said it was a drug. Too bad. It worked. My Dad and Mom were short so they made me drink the stuff. I've heard the original formula can be bought in India still but not the USA

Anybody that worries about height just isn't getting it. Don't be a douchebag! It's not your height but your mind that matters! I went to college with a dude that had no legs and one arm due to birth defects. He had a deformed jaw and many other problems. Today this guy make over 1 million a year in his own real estate biz and is married to a sexy perfect 10 wife and they life in a giant mansion too. I know this other dude who is 6'3" and has good looks and he is poor. He hands up on main most nights at the BND mailroom here in Belleville which sucks ass at minimum wage.

First off, u get judged without having open your mouth. People will take u for the stereotypical irritating loud shortguy, and you will have to struggle with yourself juso you dont get the typical shortguy-complex.
I do understand your point, but it really does carve a big inpact on your life and also reflects on your behaviour. Atleast on people in my age. (17)

I agree with you DaveW. About half a year ago I was suffering from a major height complex. I though that my 5'3" was midget sized. Okay, it wasn't that bad, but I thought I was completely tiny. Everytime someone looked at me, I'd think, "Omigod, they're thinking about how short I am!" Now I see that very few people actually give a damn about my height, and 5'3" is not that short. Yes, it's short, but not super short. Actually, I like my height now.

I am 180 cm woman and all my life i wished i could be like 3-4 cm shorter. I can't say my height gave me problems with dating guys, but let's face it: my choice was pretty limited. I only looked at guys taller than me.My husband is 185 cm. Much more important for a tall person not to be overweight. The clothes in the shops are made for average height people, who are smaller in bones too.
That is why I always wath my weight to pass into standard sizes. With this height of mine I wear american size 8 or 10. Which was 6 to 8 when I was younger. beleieve me, it's pretty thin for my height. You can see that for a 167 cm woman- which is average- it could be a fat size.

I'm 5'9" exactly. Most of the time I feel like an inferior midget when I'm in public. One of the worst things for me is seeing another guy walking along the street and thinking to myself "look at that horrible looking little poor excuse for a man" and then measuring myself next to him in the refelection of a window only to find that he's the same height as me or even a touch taller in some cases. When I was younger I joined the police department (which back then had a height restriction of 5"8" - made in by half an inch) and I would make myself taller while on duty by putting a pair of rolled up socks inside my boots underneath my heal. This was very uncomfortable but I did it for years and I now have a very noticable lower back injury because of it. As the injury got worse I thought that It was time to loose the rolled up socks, anyway by that time I was about to leave the Department. In my next job I settled for built up heels on my shoes which looked ridiculous and didn't really give me any more height in comparision to just leaving the shoes as they were meant to be. However, it was while browsing a web site checking on the height of celebrities that I came across an advertisement for height increasing shoes. I certainly had the concept right with the rolled up socks, just not the technical skills. Anyway, needless to say I purchased a pair, and then another pair and so on. For work, which is in an office, I wear a specially designed pair of boots that look like they are normal. They have a regular size heal but house a properly crafted insert of about 3 inches. I have no problem wlaking in them, in fact, they are comfortable. My most recent experitment was to bring a tape measure in to work and mark 6' on a wall in the mens bathroom. With the aid of the mirror I am able to get a very accurate reording of my height in the boots. After a bit of jiggling about I can say that I stand at about half an inch over 6'. When I'm walking in the street I have done the height comparison with other men in windows on a number of occasions. I'm reasonably satisfied. Most recenly I stood next to a guy who was about 6'3" an we were waiting to cross the street about 10 metres from a shop window, so I had a really good comparision which I was able to measure as we both walked across the street. I can say that I did not look like an insignificant poor excuse for a man next to him as I would have had I had normal shoes on. Certainly, there was a height difference but it was an acceptable height difference. So there you go guys, that's my story. By the way, I am married and my wife is fully aware of my history even right back to the rolled up socks which is when we first started dating. She just shakes her head in mild amusement when the topic comes up. Finally, I should say that I am very fearful of ever being detected by anyone else. It's getting more of a problem too, particularly with all the new security measures that are in place now requiring you to take your shoes off. Fortunately, the inserts are removeable so, at airports I take them out and put them in my hand luggage and re-insert them after I have arrived at my destination - just in case.

there is obviously no exact "perfect height" but if your a male between 5'8-6'4 or a female between 5'2-5'10 you shouldn't have to worry about attracting the opposite sex because of your height.

I just discovered this site. Absolutely fascinating!
What distresses me is the comments from people whose lives seem to be severely affected by their lack of height. Please don't shut yourself away from the world for something that nobody else cares about. What really matters is whether people like you for the person you are, and that is something you definitely can control!

Personally, I just received a surprise, I always put my height as 5'8",(I never measured myself, I just assumed I was about the same size as a friend who said that's what he was), only to discover when taking a medical that I'm actually 5'10". So what? My life is not going to change as a result. My best friend is 6'7", and another is a bona fide dwarf. The point is we don't care about height. We like each other because we add some thing to our lives by our friendship. That's what life is really about.

Qaz,
Start to develop a healthy sleeping pattern in order to grow taller. Sleeping is the best method for height growth and gravity stunts one's growth potential. It worked great for me and I am at a respectable adult height at 5'10½. Good Luck!!!!
mr.big said on 17/Nov/08
Stop giving Qaz bad info. You're all full of crap. Sleeping patterns and swimming have NOTHING to do with how tall he will be. Please. Genetics will determine his height. Nothing more. Growth can be stunted by very heavy weight lifting at a young age, and steriods can close the growth plates. If he's not doing those things, he'll just have to wait and see.

I have worked as a personal trainer and then a success coach for the last several years and can say, unequivocally, that the best way to grow taller in adulthood is to improve your self image. All the benefits of being taller can be gained through personality, presentation and presence. I regularly date girls that "only date guys over 6 feet". People always guess me taller because of my forward, friendly demeanor (and because they're trying to conceal their flagrant lies about their own height when they're barely taller than me, :-)).

Practice self acceptance, focus on what's impressive and special about you rather than that 1/2 you never gained and present yourself in the best light possible and not only will people view you differently, but your life will become exponentially peaceful and more happy.

And sure, if you're young and still growing, eat well, sleep a lot and get exercise and grow as tall as you're capable of.

Best wishes,

B

Jack and Chris below should really talk to somebody. Looks like a cry for help.

Being short is not the end of the world. Start hanging with dwarfs and you will feel tall. Or join a support group for short folks. The truth is being tall doesn't make you any better. Tall guys get rejected by women to. Just be confident. I am average height and had plenty of friends growing up much taller that wished they were me. I was confident and still am and was never rejected by a woman. Partly because I looked good and was confident, even taller women approached me. I married an average height hot woman and now have 2 beautiful little girls. One is above average and the other below average in height. Guess what that means nothing as long as they are happy and healthy...

P.S. Rob (Editor) can you add a conversion table cm to inches.
George said on 27/Oct/08
Yeah, I don't think 6ft is tall, it's just above average. I'm only 13 but I'm 5'9 which is the height of an average British man, & I wouldn't see a man as tall unless he was 6'2 +. And for a woman it has to be 5'11 or more.

Qaz, now tell me, who really has the time to sleep half a year? I mean, what's the tradeoff.. For me I can say that 1,5 inches of added height is not incentive enough for me to put my thesis and job on hold for a year. Just be happy with what you are, is what I abide to.

dont sleep for too long IMO 8-10 hours is enough for anyone. 8 being minimum 9 being avg and 10 being the max you should sleep or else the day will go by and be wasted....life is short end of story

Qaz,
Start to develop a healthy sleeping pattern in order to grow taller. Sleeping is the best method for height growth and gravity stunts one's growth potential. It worked great for me and I am at a respectable adult height at 5'10½. Good Luck!!!!
Chan Man said on 8/Oct/08
Qaz,
Gravity is the biggest enemy of height growth. A more realistic approach is to swim alot since gravity is not an issue. Don't run for it is not good for the spine. What you need to do is to stretch your spine as much as possible. Take yoga classes, for that seriously stretch your spine. Also, sleep alot. Make sure you sleep at least 9 hours each night and also take naps in the afternoon and also stretch your back beforehand. Sleeping is the best time for bones to grow because there is no gravity to stunt your full growing potential. I slept half of my 20th year and grow 1.5 inches. My parents accused me of being so lazy that year I remember but I am the tallest in the family now though. I remember I was around 5'7½" when I was 17 years old. I wanted to grow another 2 inches to 5'10". So I took a modern dance class so I could jump and stretch the hell out of my spine. Afterwards I took naps in the afternoon to avoid gravity that ultimately stunts one's potential height growth. I also slept 10 hours a night and took calcium tablets to stimulate bone growth. I eventually grow to 5'10½" barefoot. Now I could easily reach 5'11" with shoes and 6" with boots. Another tactic is to live in space where there is no gravity and you can easily grow a lot faster than on earth I suppose. Best of luck to you and start your 10 hour sleeping habit tonight. Best of luck!!!

Rob, maybe add a mention of Robert Downey jr. to the last part where you mention the stars who are widely acknowledged as elevator shoe wearers. Downey's footwear has been mentioned nearly as much as Sly and Pitt.

actually dan, anything above 6 ft is to tall in most countries. Anything below 5' 5" is short. You are from portugal a place which is not really mentioned anywhere in the world. In america, on the other hand peoples height varies and it can be short or tall, it doesnt matter but if it did, short would be anything under maybe 5'6" for men.
Anonymous3 said on 23/Sep/08
6 feet isn't tall? If you're really 6'4 then it's just not tall to you. Considering it's in the 80th percentile, and according to the department of health and human services, only roughly 15% of males are 6 feet or taller, I don't see how 6 feet is now "average". It's not TALL, but you'll be a good solid couple inches taller then the most guys. Also, 6 feet for a girl is VERY tall. I'm 6'1 (and actually measured in socks by an army doctor at 6'1 so I know I'm legit) and I VERY RARELY see a girl that's close in height to me and I'm probably taller then 75%-80% of guys I meet. I had a teacher in high school who was a legit 5'11 and everyone was always impressed at her height for a girl. Comparing avgs. a 6' female is equivalent to a 6'5 male. How many males are truly 6'4 and 6'5 etc? (basically anything above 6'2) VERY few. Less then 2% statistically. Same probably follows for females.
If it was anymore common I wouldn't get regular comments on how tall I am. Especially when I'm in something like combat boots and standing a solid 6'2.5.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
anonymous I completely agree with your 6' point of view. As most people who claim 6' are in the 5'9-5'11 range. People who have no idea about their height and think they are a decent height may claim 6' when they are really maybe only 5'9.5 or so. Yes a 6' male I heard is taller than 7/10 males 16-21 years believe and taller than was it 80-85% of ALL males? Anway it is NOT the 50th percentile at all making it obviously still above average for sure.
6' is good height for an adult not to mention a teenager.
Captain Spaulding said on 20/Sep/08
Dan I know what you mean, I read somewhere that 50 percent of all people lie about their height tho many who lie simply dont know their height and guess.

Lawrie my prediction is you could be a 6ft guy at 17 or 18. I had a late spurt of growth even more than you the year I grew about 5 inches in a year from 15 to 16. I was 5ft4 at 14. A weak 6ft now or very strong 5ft11 3/4 guy most of the day. Top measurement was 6ft0.25 at morning height.

Why on earth are you guys so fascinated by the heights of celebrities. Who cares!!!!!!!!If your so unduly concerned about other peoples heights then you're probably insecure about yourself.
Forget about it,everyone naturally grows to be their own God given height so stop gossiping about heights and do somethin else.
Mike said on 12/Sep/08
Dan you say average in your country is 6' yet anything under 5'11" is quite short? Is anything over 6'1" quite tall? If not you are very lacking in logic.
Andy said on 12/Sep/08
Lawrie, growth stops when 21 years old on average. On this pace, 2" per year circa, you will grow for 6 more years gaining 12"; that is to say, my prediction is something like 6'9'', so you may either try a career as an NBA player or have a look at your genes with a microscope instead of asking people who are not foretellers to predict your height.

As good-looking as(or at least as really interesting) most actors and actresses are with and without all of the costumes, make-up and props, they should not worry so much about height. A lift is not so much for our benefit as it might be to those persons who wear them. Possibly, these lifts provide "other" benefits.

Im 6'3 1/2 in socks and with shoes on maybe 6'4 1/2. I notice that a lot of people lie about their height. I know that among professional athletes in USA it's common to be measured in shoes and then claim to be that height, probably the same for many celebrities. It's my understanding that many american people for example if they stand 5'10 1/2 instead claim they are 5'11. Is this common among non famous people in america to be so obesessed with height so they will measure themselves with shoes on or lie about their height.

What some consider tall in one country may not be that tall in another. For example in Portugal the average Male height is 5'8 and in Holland it's close to 6'. I'm from Sweden and the average height here are 5'10 and 5'11 for younger males. Anything under 5'11 i consider quite short. In order to be considered tall i believe you have to be at least 6'2, several inches above the medium height. A male under 5'10 i consider short. But for everyone height is not so important. I would never lie about my height or wear lifts if i was shorter, it's pathetic.

For women i don't think height is as important as it is for men.
For a women i don't want her to be to short but not to tall either 5'5 - 5'10 might be the best height range. At least no shorter than 5'3 and no taller than 5'11.

What height or in what height range does a woman consider to be the ideal height of a man?

i'm asian and 4'11". i grew up in a culture that denudes personality, character, importance- to height. when i'm walking down the street or roaming around the mall i have enough confidence in myself to rock whatever i'm wearing, however i look (devoid of anything aesthetic, cosmetics) and feel comfortable and attractive..only coz i believe in how i display myself--unpretentiously. if you feel good and know yourself and body, then you look good. doesn't mean it works for everybody, nor am i portraying gumption for vanity. it's just that i'm comfortable and confident in my natural skin. and that's attractive to me. i get more attention from other guys (some losers, some beautiful men..or boys - ~)than girls dressier, dolled up, and "classier" or trendier than me. BUT, i do get slightly insecure when amongst a big crowd. shoulder to shoulder. and dammit, i can't see over! LOL! walking into the masses i get conscious of what they might be seeing- is that a child in a bar? what i hated the most was at family functions getting compared BACK TO BACK with my cousins!! i happen to be the shortest, btw. amidst tall people (or even avg. height persons), my height concern doesn't linger long. it has its rifts, like, at a party full of tall people i feel at times looked upon with unflattering amazement...which, of course, might be just in my head. but i do think to myself, "why can't i just have grown an inch taller so i can at least claim i'm 5 foot." and i don't use heels to exaggerate my height. duh, it's for fashion =D. i wear flats, slippers, kicks, etc., and i'm fine. and i don't want to have to take off my deceptive shoe lift and, suddenly, people are going to think i physically warped into something else, like, "wow, did you just shrink?" or "yesterday, you were taller than me by 4 inches. what happened?" holy ****, i think that's more embarrassing. yes, the thought of how wondrous it would be were i just a bit taller is there, but not enough to cripple my everyday life. but the matter of that small presence of coveting height...that tiny 'lingering' IS enough to bother me. and i hate it.

I posted this on the Pitt page too. Height increasing shoes like those worn by Brad Pitt do indeed give 2 inches and more. They have a 1.5 inch solid leather and wood heel followed by a 4-5cm cork lift nailed into the inside of a high shoe. The lift itself does not give a full 4-5cm increase because the median level directly under the ankle bone is is about 3 cm. These shoes do tend to lose a 1cm if worn for a few hours so celebrities put them on moments before public events. To sum it up shoes like these give up to 6-7cm height increase (that is up to 2.75 inches). They are very uncomfortable for daily use so don't waste your time boys.
did you already wear those yourself??? If not how can you say they are uncomfortable. It's funny to hear that specially from a girl because most girls wears high heels. Elevator shoes are the same principle except that you have a softer footbed which means MUCH MORE comfort for most of the people.
I personally never saw Brad or anybody else comming at an event and change his shoes every time the camera is on him. They of course put their shoes right before the event as they do whith your TUX... I never heard of anybody wearing his TUX at breakfast when they have an event at night... That's just nonsense!
Your shoes may loose some of the original height increase but certainly not in an hour if you buy good shoes! You only got what you pay for, that's it. I personally never tried other brands than Bugarri that you can find online but I never had any of the problems you said. It's true that shoe lifts are not really worth it and that there is a lot of non professional and cheap manufacturers for this kind of product but not every ones are like this. Blame the companies, not the entire buisness!
I am personally really happy with my Bugarri's and even if I don't wear them on an everyday basis, I can without any problem. If I can wear them at parties, dancing all night long I don't need any other proof that they are comfortable enough to wear them every day.

Whenever i feel insecure about my height i remember the lyrics to 'Pablo Picasso' by The Modern Lovers:

'Well the girls would turn the color of the avacado
when he would drive Down their street in his El Dorado
He could walk down your street
And girls could not resist his stare
Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole
Not like you
Alright
Well he was only 5'3"
But girls could not resist his stare
Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole
Not in New York'

Don't be an asshole with lifts, trust me. Attitude is everything. I killed my feet on lifts for five years, feeling nothing but discomfort, inwardly and outwardly. I alienated myself from my friends, and occasionally girls would comment on how crappy my block shoes were. They were. I kept wearing them because i had conviced myself that if i were just a little closer to six feet, i would have it made in every arena of life. But i looked like fool, and far more girlys liked me when i was myself.
Guys, you will destroy your life trying to create the illusion of a few extra inches. Be short, and be a badass about it. Think of the the short guy with the supermodel girlfriend, the rarest and coolest badass of them all. Think everyone from James Dean to James McAvoy. It's just so much more impressive when a short dude makes something of himself, becuase it's basically a middle finger to the cocky tall guy and his insecure girlfriend who's dating a 6 footer because she needs to feel small and insignificant. Popular culture today bombards us with images that portray the short guy as the invariable loser, so if you watch enough low-brow TV you're bound to start making it your reality. Don't let such dog**** reflect badly on you, for god's sake.

vibram,
beard growth has no indication on height, as it has no relation to the plates at the end of your bones, which close after your final growth spurt. men get their final growth spurt as young as 13-14, so i can assure you that at 29 you will never grow. actually, unless you have great work out ethic, you are closer to shrinking.

I'm 5'7 and my hubby is 6'7. I always loved my height as a female. "Tall Enough" is what I call myself. I look good in flats and high heels. My hubby always had to look down at people. He has the nerve to call me short stuff and says the tallest girl he's ever dated was 6'2. She was a basketball player at college later turned lesbian. Well that's another story. He told me I was the shortest girl he's ever dated, but the prettiest and sexiest that he had to marry me. He saved himself with that one!

Vibram - I too have similar physical traits to yourself, about the same height, lack of beard hair and I grew later in life. This is not unusual these days though as our generation and generations to come are going to be less hairy. I know a guy who is an anthropologist and he said the human race is still evolving and that we are gradually losing our body hair as the human race evolves. Earlier relatives of humans had lots of body hair. A lot of evidence suggests that we are are also getting bigger and taller as well due to improved nutrition. I think that we are both highly evolved humans, maybe in a thousand years the human race will be seven feet tall with no hair, who knows?!

People are shocked when they find i'll be 30 this year; they feel sorry for me which I don't like. Given my late physical development, could I still grow more? I'm 176cm, but I'd feel better at 178cm. Is beard development an indicator of overall development? I read that bones aren't fully at their peak until early to mid 30's.

I wonder why height is such a big deal to us (human/society/whatever). Is it the same reason as weight? Are taller people more aesthetically pleasing, healthier looking? Dunno, it's strange.

Though I must say, after reading all these comments, I am feeling a bit worse for guys -- I had no idea people were going to such lengths to be taller. If us girls want to be taller, all we do is strap on a pair of sexy heel and away we go.

It's being _shorter_ that's the problem for girls then, maybe? I'm a girl and 5'8"ish, so really most of the time I'm wearing flats so that I don't tower over people, as most of my friends are 5'4", and half of my boyfriends have been my same height.
Ashley said on 4/May/08
Seriously, you guys need to relax. I'm 5'6" and have absolutely no problem with guys who are around my height... there's no reason to be insecure because you're not John Wayne with platforms. Maybe it's because my family is Italian and my dad is 5'8" and I'm just used to being taller than him when I wear heels. I would much rather be eye-level with someone than constantly cranking my neck to look up at them. But that's me. The real issue is attitude - if you don't care that you're supposedly short, no one else will, either; but, if you have a complex, others will reflect it. By the way, Al Pacino's 5'6" and seems to be doing all right in life.

I can sympathise with some of the posts here. All my life until about 16, I was one of the 'tall guys'. Hell, I was 5'5 at 12, 5'8 at 13 and then my growth kinda stopped. Not really sure why.

Anyway, all my friends are taller than me, the ones i've known from school.

There's me ar 5'10 and the rest range from 5'11 to 6'5. Kinda sucks!

Height is a bummer. Oh well :-)

You know, I was always the shortest guy in my school and the shortest in my familly (my cousins uncle and grandfather are all way taller than 6') Exept for several month when I was something like 14y/o... I grew up like crazy during the summer hollydays and even became taller than my cousin and some tall friends at school... It's so strange how people can look at you in a total different way when you are taller... but it didn't last long and I became the short guy again... but now I know that here are not only good points... I don't really care if I'm not tall and to be honest I don't know my exact height. The advantage of geing short (or average) is that you can always look taller when you need it... not when you are tall and is not always made for tall people... lots of scars on the head for them!!! You just need to adapt... a lot of the sports are easyer when you are small for example... choose snowboarding, skating, wakeboarding, soccer (Diego Maradona was really short) instead of basketball. And when you really need to be taller like if you are applying for a job or when you go out with your girlfriend who is wearing heels you can always cheat to look taller while using socks, shoelifts or simply height increase shoes (good looking elevator shoes like the ones I use sometimes from bugarrishoes.com or several other brands that you can easilly find online... which I recommend because it's specially designed for that and the insole will not move inside of your shoes like simple shoelifts).
just don't start to lie about it and pretend you are really taller than you are.... just play it smart (people only make fun of girls with fake boobs if they pretend they are real even if it's obvious that they are not!!!) And never forget that life become really difficult for tall people when they get older... less balance, when you fall you fall from higher, your back tend to curve in a funny way... lots of people need walking assistance or even wheelchair because of that (i bet that in 50 years from now lots of tall people from this generation will complain on forums about that). So just be happy as you are and use a little extra help when necessary, there nothing wrong about that!

I am so f*ing small that I have never had one day in my life where I felt comfortable. Now I don't even go outdoors if its light out if I can help it. I've worn lifts since the age of 12 and even doing that I am always embarrassed and ashamed. I wish I had known about growth hormone injections when I was younger but now its too late. Even with girlfriends I never let them see me barefoot and it was so much work. I never told anyone how much it bothered me but nothing else has made me feel so constantly insecure. Even in Asia I look short and girls reject me. I hate life.

Now as a guy i was never insecure about my height growing up until my lil brotha started growing to my height and surpassed me. Now am 25 now standing at 5'10 5'11 and i got 3 younger brothas. The one behind me is 5'9 and the third one just shot up to almost 6'3 at the age of 17. I also got a lil 9 yr brotha who is very lanky and looks like he might grow to be at least 6 foot in my eyez. Now my parents are not tall at all as my pops stands at 5'7 5'8 and my momz is only 5' 3. I however do have tall extended family memebers as all my male cousins range from 6 foot to about 6'5 so i can see where my 17 yr old brotha got his height from. Anyways i became obssessed with height because i couldnt belief how tall he was and i had to look up to him sometimes when talkin to him and i hated that ****. So at the age of 22 i started inventing my own ways to try to get a lil taller. I always wanted to be at least 6'0 or 6'1 the most being that i'm athletic and somewhat muscular so that height looked good on me. i also weight about 185-190 pounds. Well look story shorty is that i started putting alot of insoles in my shoes to get a lil taller and eventually got to the point where i was puttin' socks in my shoes to make myself look taller starting at the age of 23. I must say that it was the worst decision of my life and i regret it because now ppl think am kinda tall which am not. I can look anywhere from 6 foot to maybe 6'1 to even 6'2 sometimes as some of my friends have said but when asked bout my height i always say 5'11 maybe 6'0. Now i can't even wear shorts in the summer cuz i will be exposed in terms of my height, cant play basketball like i use to cuz again i will be exposed and i hate that **** because it really ****ed up certain aspects of my life. It does feel good tho being a lil taller as i have noticed because i get more attention and looks from the girls but i dont feel like myself sometimes. All am gonna say to everyone out dere is that enjoy being ur height because thats what GOD gave u. Everyone and everybody is different therefore we should all love to except our individuality. I'm kinda in a cross road in my life right now because i want to stop puttin socks in my shoes and be myself but then how r ppl gonna react to me...especially friends and family. Try with the opposite method and put less and less lifts in your shoes while time goes by and eventually stick with fair soled shoes which will take to about 5-11.5 to 6 in shoes. If you decrase slowly, like take off 0.25 inch every month friends wont notice. So in 6 months time you will look 1.5 inch shorter and than stick with that.

Hey, I'm about 5'6" myself, a guy. My girlfriend is around 5'9", on the other hand. Her and I are both 17 years old and we totally love each other... Hell, in general I'm not all that attractive, I don't think. My voice isn't all that low, as I said, I'm only five and a half feet tall, but my girlfriend is cool with it. Plus, you know, I'm 17... still some time left to grow another two inches or so, I'd imagine. I am really struggling with myself in trying to decide against getting hgh for a bit though, however. I think it should be at least slightly obvious: Height is more important to short people than tall people, for the most part. I know that my girlfriend loves me, we've been together for a year now and seen the best and worst of each other. No matter how tall I am, I know she loves me... but that doesn't change the fact that I just wish I was a FEW inches taller. I'm still crossing my fingers that I'll grow a bit more naturally and if it's NOT up to my standards... I might go ahead and try growth hormone and stretching out my spine as I've read works. I'd love to top off at 5'9" or 5'10" myself. I'd love to grow just typically a little more, for the sake of my height AND my voice. It's not always such a matter of getting a girl... I have a wonderful girl. I just want to be personally comfortable.

@ Akassasin.
5'11 is alright man so take it easy. let me tell you sth. you're just as tall as you feel. just stand up straight and you'll be fine. the difference between a 5ft 11 guy and a 6ft 1 or even 2 guy isn't that big anyway.
d said on 14/Mar/08
Akassasin: I have the same problem as you have but mine is far worse... I am only 5'9 barefoot and reach the height you do in lifts of all kinds, including your method... and let me tell you it really messes up your life... I can't do half of the things I used to do in fear on getting caught. Yet I love being taller its always been a dream of mine and because people actually believe I am now and I don't want that to end. Its got to the point where I very rarely ever expose my barefoot height unless I need to and even then I end up on my tippy toes... I feel you should learn from this mistake as well as should I and just forget about it, whether you continue or not just don't it affect your life.

Damn Akassasin! Don't beat yourself up too bad! I sometimes barely just scrape 5'10 in regular shoes, but barefoot am only 5'8 & at the end of the day after decompressing I am 5'7.5! I started doing the same thing you did & I hate it!
Although I am so anti-social & have no friends I really have'nt made it to where anyone knows anything! Tallest I can look is 5'11! Which is what I wish I was! Father is 5'11 & mother is 4'11! I turned 23 this past January & I am still hoping I will grow another inch if not more? Tell me though,What age did you stop growing? My father claims to have grown alittle in his mid twenties! All the men on his side ranged from 5'11-6'2! The ones on my moms side vary quite abit! Moms dad was 6'0-6'1 & Moms mom was 5'1,& all my moms brothers were inbetween 5'5-5'8! In my opinion I don't think 5'10 is short at all! I think the short look appears around 5'7! So you are not short man! I would not want to be any larger than 6'2! I would love to be 6'0! Hell I'd kill to be 5'10! Maybe I still have time to grow another inch or so? Don't think you have to live up to your brothers height because the world is going to keep getting taller! You are not short! If you stand at 5'10 now then in just regular shoes without anything in them you should be just barely under 6'0! Which is tall!
You don't have to do any of that putting socks in your shoes! Hell when I do I am barely 5'11 & it does feel good but like you say it's hard to do things once you have done that! Anyways, you at your height now is tall enough to where you don't have to hide! Also when you are near the 6'0 mark people may predict you being like 6'1 or so! So no worries man! What do you think about a guy being with a woman who is a couple inches taller then him?
Akassasin said on 8/Mar/08
Like i said this is the worst decision i made in my life and i just wish that i would have never did what i have done. Height is really not so important..ur character and personality surpassess any height that u could be given and i wish ppl just be urself and live life and be happy. I think women love shorter men. They seem to try harder to please, are more charming, more cocky and make better dance partners - do you know what I mean ? It just gives them an edge, a more funky personality, think Prince, Cruise, Spade - being secure in yourself and having confidence is much more appealing. Height can be SO overrated; sometimes the tall, strong and silent type are just plain dull !
Darkfalz said on 9/Feb/08
I'd say women put height as the last of the three main physical traits, after facial looks and body type, but unfortuantely all three are still pretty close together and much, much higher than anything personality or character related. Sad but true.
@Sasha said on 6/Feb/08
well being skinny usually means you are somewhat active and get out everyday and do exciting stuff, so i usually prefer thin girls. As for height, it doesnt matter if you're fairly attractive.

I'm a 25 year old guy, and I'm 5'5". I haven't grown since I was like 14. It's sort of annoying for sports, but that's about it. However, I'm also gay, and guys don't seem to care about my height (someone has to be taller, right?). Sometimes I think being gay is a real blessing because I think my options would be a lot more limited if I were trying to get girls to be attracted to me rather than guys.

I really need them and I don't want to get them online...do sores like footlcker have them or something?

Well Sasha! Don't kick yourself about it! More than likely at your age you still may grow 2-3 inches more! I am 5'8 barefoot & I am in a relationship with the love of my life & she stands 5'10 barefoot! I do admit I feel insecure about it,especially when she wears 4 inch heels that puts her near 6'1-6'2...I just turned 23 years old & hopefully I'll grow another 2 inches still to be level with her at her normal height! God I hope so! Since you are a woman Sasha let me ask you for your opinion...Do you think that giving mine & her 2 inch height difference...You think that bothers a woman deep down? She says it does'nt matter because she loves me too much, but she used to date guys taller than her...What do you think?

You really don't have to be TOO skinny or TOO curvy, just be yourself, but never go so far as OVERWEIGHT. I guess it's fine to be natural.

As for your height, I believe you can be 5'11, which to me is perfect. I'm only 6'1 but I really like girls around 180cm (I'm from China, so my opinion doesn't necessarily match that of WHITE AMERICA, who to me are RIDICULOUS enough to have suggested the 4-6" rule.)

I DEFINITELY believe people are attracted to people who they share statue, belief, and interests (i.e. fat man is attracted to fat girl, even though he realizes her being BIG).

Since you are only 14, I hope you can stay away from exposure to cosmetics and "FASHION", which can only make your life miserable. A natural skin free of chemicals is most beautiful, don't wear makeup, 'cause later when you've totally ruined your skin, you won't look beautiful without them.

Last but not least, DON'T get exposed to sunshine too much (ignore this if you're not white). Don't you know how many girls in China want to have the skin of a white woman? Don't you know how many of my male friends surf internet everyday just to check on photos of beautiful white women?

Question for the guys:
Do you prefer women who are tall or small?

I'm 14 and 5'9 - I don't want to grow anymore.
I've always wanted a guy thats wuite a bit taller than me so I can wear heels and still be a bit smaller than him - I think it's because I want to feel like a girl or something - I've always been tall so I've had to look down at people a lot, and I don't feel very girly/graceful as my friends are all a lot smaller than me and I see myself as the 'rough' one.

So what do guys think?

P.S. Do you prefer skinny or curvy girls?

Thanks,

Sasha

im becoming increasingly concerned about my height and have been since a child, at the age of 2 i was diagnosed with SED which is a condition that results in short stature.. and was put on growth hormone and still use it every night. i was lucky and very mildly effected (only my close family know about it) and knowone notices. i find that whenever im in a club or face to face with someone im always on my tip toes? anyone else do that? it becomes a insecure habbit but works for me i suppose. evedently i find this site interesting which i think without my condition i would be standing 6ft like my brothers. also i havnt had problems with girls at since 15, i live and look like a rockstar and the girls love it. so its witt, possitive attitude and humour thats important if found out. please feel free to comment back.x

I don't think it'sa problem. Your arms will seems to short if your upper body grows, but with this kind of shoes it's only your legs who seems longer and long legs are considered sexy (for girls a least but we can consider that it's the same for us). when you arms are against your body they will still reach the same point of your legs, so it don't change anyting.

In general what do you guys think is the max lift insole that you can put inside a sneaker/loafer,/cowboy boots? 1.5 Inch lift?

Gordon said on 30/Dec/07
It must have something to do with sports like American Football and Basketball that boys play in school, Americans are always saying things like "I'm 6'3" and 210lbs", with British men they don't give out their weight like that (especially if someone feels they've themself go a bit) and they don't give out their height as readily, unless someone asks, but usually one is able to judge for themselves roughly how tall another person is. The whole point of this site however is that people can appear taller (or not as tall) on screen, and it aims to find the truth about the height of these "silver screen giants".

BTW, 5'10.5" is a very acceptable height for a guy, it's not "short" by any means (only if you hang around with people well over 6 foot), you might wish to be a little taller perhaps, but is everyone over 6' really more attractive than you?
Minstrel Man said on 27/Dec/07
Gordon, you may be onto something about that American comment. I'm a 16 1/2 year old American male who is 5'10.5", determined to hit that 6' mark and be looked upon as "tall and handsome." I never realized how lucky I am not to be terribly tall or short.
Gordon said on 20/Dec/07
I'll tell you who height matters the most to, AMERICANS!! In England people still notice height of course and if a guy is pretty short he might get a few harmless jibes from people who know him but I've never seen anyone's life being ruined by it! Not when they are still well above midget territory (above 5 foot). Of course you can be too short for some professions, like being a fighter pilot. Being unusually tall can be just as unfortunate as being particulary short. Sometimes I think people expect more of tall guys, especially when they are still adolescents.

Anonymous said on 18/Dec/07
I agree with Schneider.

Science nowadays is so advanced that you can fix almost anything on your body if you're really so dissatisfied with it.

What he said about Tom Cruise was also a good point. I'm a good 2 inches taller than he is (or for that matter 3 inches taller than Ben Stiller), but they're rich, famous, and married to some pretty good looking ladies.

If one is so insecure about one aspect or another aspect of their lives, though, they can certainly "fix" it. You can make anything bigger or smaller nowadays.
Jack is Back said on 16/Dec/07
Hey jason, you want to switch heights? I'm 6 foot and would love to have that height ( i play basketball.) lol.
Schneider said on 11/Dec/07
I don't get why short people are so pessimistic about their lives? Shortness can be greatly overcome by surgery using the Ilizarov method which can add up to 4 inches in both the lover- and upper-parts of the knees, and if that person were, say 5'5, that would give him an average 5'9 which is not bad at all. In worse cases, this amount may increase as well, up to 10 inches, the 4-inches limit is just to keep the upper-lower body ratio in relatively taller people. So no matter how badly life granted you with luck in the beginning, you always get your second chance if you have the money and guts to have the painful operation. Besides, most people who criticise Tom's height miss the fact that it's the cute and different height which made him what he's today, and even if they were 6'10 like his bodyguards, they could never come close to a life like his because they are complete losers.
Chris said on 8/Dec/07
I stand about 5'3.5 and I am a 20 year old male. I think Frank is pretty much right on the spot. I get shot down even before I am given a chance with girls. Sometimes I get looked at like I am inferior and people treat me differently. I'm a nice guy but girls often don't even give me a chance. There's nothing I can do about my height. Life really does suck. I have contemplated suicide numerous times. So please, when you see a short person, please treat them with the same respect as your peers because it may mean so much more to them than you think.

Her hands even if full streched can barely touch my lips.So when i want to kiss her i simply lift her and kiss and then keep her down, I really feel that she is like little child with me,But i really like her inspite of her short height, and we are the best friends.

that's pretty shallow of you to think that 6'2 is short. Are you aware that there are people out there that are 5'2 and are limited from attracting the opposite sex, because of societies expectation. Are you aware of the effect that society has on someone that is 5'2 has them contemplating suicide. Are you aware that there are cosmetic procedures that can alter any individual appearance to make them look good according to the media standards, however someone that is 5'2 can spend all the money in the world trying to alter his image, but the reality is he can't do anything about his height

The average height of younger men is probably 6 1" and it's common to see 6 4" and 6 5" guys - pretty much every time I go anywhere.

Has my name suggests i am below average height and granted i would have loved to have been taller than what i actually reached.I am 22yrs old and i only reached a height of 4'10i have 1 brother who is 24yrs old and he is 6'2 then my 2 sisters are 26yrs old and 5'10 then comes the youngest 20yrs old and she is 5'11.How would people like it to be compared to a 10 yr old day in day out.It is no fun kids asking if i am a dwarf or things like that. All my cousins outgrew me especially the guys they were over 6'0 tall. The thing is that my mum is 5'10 and my dad 6'4 no one expected me to stay short.I had stopped growing when i was 12yrs old.I was always the shortest in my class, the nearest were usually a couple of girls who since leaving school i have seen and they are now 5'6 at least. The doctor did some tests when i was younger to see if anything could be done for my height only to come back with the answer NO.It isnt fair me being the shortest in my family especially with the youngest being that much taller.I thought maybe it was due to my brother and sister coming first but then i would have been taller than my youngest sister. All i hear is guys being 5'6 and over and still wanting to be taller COME ON GET A GRIP !!.Just be greatful for what you have.It ends up that i am the same height has my grandad he was 4'11 but due to shriking he is the same height. My nan is actually taller than him she was 5'10 but they still coped with the height difference.I also have an aunt who is similar in height she is 5'0 so she copes well has she can wear 3inch heels to bring her height up.I would never stoop so low has to wear lifts has that is just so non macho.Imagine wearing lifts barefooted you are 5'7 wearing 4inch lifts brings you up to 5'11.When you meet up with a woman yeah lovely she likes your height only to find out that you are 5'7 i can tell you if the woman has any sense she would turn round and walk out then what.Just be lucky that you are mostly over 5'0 i have no chance of reaching that unless i wear lifts or clumpy shoes no thank you.Is there anyone who is similar to my height has i dont meet that many thank you

To all shorter guys...Ok I'm 5'7 and half(maybe 5'8 in the morning) and I weigh about 205 pounds. I am a bodybuilder with wide shoulders and chest and very thicks thighs..Now I know what its like to be shorter since I have been my whole life. So Id like to give some advice to guys my size..My advice to you is accept your height(its not like its an illness you just arent tall, get over it).point blank.secondly after you accepted your not the tallest guy in the world you should where clothes that fit YOUR body. Almost every pair of pants I try on dont fit correctly. I have maybe 2 or 3 pairs that fit decent. Oh ya and Im a little bow legged sooo I know first hand if you dont wear pants that fit you, you are going to look very stalky and short!! the same goes with shirts..if you wear a shirt thats to long..you will look DUMB! you dont have inches to spare so you are really going to have to dress appropriate to your height..Also in my opinion shoes with lift or heels look dumb and obvious!! All those guys who say you need to be taller and if your not then you will amount to nothing are wrong. wear a shoe that fits and is not to big n blocky like airforces or boots even tho they give you a lift. they are to big of a shoe for guys our size and will make you look funny. wear a sleek aesthetic shoe that fits correctly and you will look better(vans, converse, loafer, etc u get my drift)And lastly if you do lift weights you MUST keep in mind that too much BULK will make you look weird muscle bound short etc..Lift to even out all your muscle groups to give the effect that you are aesthetic with a tight tapered body that is absolutely cut to ribbons..remember that the body you were given wasnt meant to be the absolute biggest ever so accentuate what you have and be confident..and quit whining about what you dont have and flaunt what you do!!hope this helped you

I'm 21 and 5"10 without shoes and wearing normal flats/trainers I'm 5"11. With my Timberland boots I'm practically 6" so buy Timberland if you want to be taller!!! My friend is no more than 5"8 but he always insists he's nearly 6"0 despite an obvious height difference between us. Big Damon, mind your head on the door frames! I'd say that is prob just about the clearance you can get. Move to The Netherlands if you can't cope. They're the tallest people on earth apparently.

Wtf is that comment about 5'7 being inferior, Ralph? What would 5'9 be?
You wouldn't happen to be Ralph from the Simpsons would you?
Instead of a finger up your nose; I think you may have it up your SIX FOOT ONE azz next to your head....
Anonymous said on 25/Aug/07
I know what you're talking about Ralph... I'm 5'11" but wish I were at least 6'1". Anyway, tallness is a relative concept. In my immediate family, I would be considered tall since both my parents and my two sisters are well under 5'6". But out in the real world at best I would be regarded as slightly above average and at worst, just average. Average, by its very definition. seems so boring.
Ralph said on 24/Aug/07
No one is satisfied whith their height-5'9" is average 5'11" is just over average but not officially tall but still a decent height,I think every guy wants to be 6'1" though officially tall begins at 6'0",for some reason guys at 5'11" want to be 6'1",if you have good posture you can appear tall at 5'11",I also think guys are influenced by athletes, and there are some very tall guys but that doesn't mean you're short, anyone who doesn't appreciate 5'11" are ignorant, you may even hear some women brag about how their boyfriend is 6'4",first of all women make bad height estimations and may over estimate the height of a guy they like.By the way i'm 6'1 1/2" I'm considered tall statiscally,I even look tall physically cause of my medium build and impeccable posture but some people don't acknowledge i'm tall cause I don't stand out tremendously, also being in the lower 6' range you need good posture to look tall unlike being 6'4" you can have a relaxed posture and still look tall.Another thing the viewpoint of being tall is subjective, everyone has different opinions of being tall,so guys 5'10"-5'11" be proud of you're height, stop claiming 6'1" and start appreciating you height, just remember 5'11" is just over average and most guys upgrade their height by two inches like if a guy is 5'9" he may claim 5'11",if a guy is 5'11" he may claim 6'1",that's why people have a perception of tall being 6'3"-6'4" because guys lie and make 6'1" seem not tall because everyone 5'11" claims 6'1",anyone that is a legit 6'0" or 6'1" with good posture and a normal weight will look tall or probably look taller than they already are, even 5'11" can look tall if legit measurement and decent posture.Another thing that I don't understand is that why are guys claiming to be 6'1" when 6'0" is an inch over 5'11" you can just claim 6'0" why claim 6'1"?I'm 6'1 1/2" I don't have to look down at someone who's 5'11",it's a masculine height it's not inferior like someone who's 5'7".

with the whole arm issues, I think people can range form having their armspan being the same as their height to 6 inches more and look normal. Average however probably is armspan execeeding by 3 or 4 inches IMO. My armspan is 78 inches, I'm 74 inches and it looks perfect for me, not crazy long monkey arms at all.

It's not unlikely for a man to grow up to half of an inch between age 20 and 22. This happens with girls at a less frequent basis. Aside from genetic influences many other factors contribute to such a process though, there's no special recipe for it to make it happen.

nah, hate to break it to yo guys, no way of growing after 20, im 14 years old, so my spine is young and smiling for growing taller, i drink a litre of milk everyday, 2 cod liver oil capsules, fruits and vegetables, and have a multivitamin at the end of the day, or be it, an exeptionally healthy diet, i also swim for about a hour everyday and hang from the bar before and after swimming, 3 months, result, not an inch, simply nothing, that shows, you can't do much to grow taller, just keep healthy and if youve got anything to grow you shall, but i do look much hansomer, got a MUCH BETTER POSTURE, and i am much healthier, its not only the height that matters, its what on the height that matters, so i dont regret it at all, you may try it out your self,

yeah
and wear regular shoes, as rob says in the elevator hoes height article, they dont give much height, i tried them on in a shop, i didnt see much diference,
yeah, their also real bad for your back, their lying that they do well for your spine
5 years later ur spine shall be all crucked, so just keep good posture, thats a must

Hey, i have a question.. i hope someone of you guys can help me anwering me.
I'm 5'11 in the morning and at night i'm smaller by a entire inch! i'm 5'10 at night.
Iknow it's normal to shrink along the day and be taller in the morning but an entire inch? :| I have bad posture cuz until now (i'm 20) i didn't care with posture so now when i am distrected i'm allways with my spine curvate. (and i also have kyphosis) is it a reason to shrink an entire inch along the day?
Also... what do you know about grow after 20? i know it's diferent to everyone.. some people still growing after 20 other stop growing at 18 or even before..because of the genetic, but i've read spine stop growing ate 25.
Practing swimming and stretch exercises it helps to increase some height (i'm not stupid i know it can't increase something like 3 inches after 20 like all books about growing taller says..) but...i don't want to be sooo tall like that.. i would just like to increase an inch (or maybe 1.5 or 2 maximum!)
Somebody can tell something..? lol :D thank you guys ;)

Man (Johnny? whats wrong with beings 5"11? Thats a decent height to be? when i was 14 i was that height and it was great. I always consider anyone 5"10 ish or more to be tall. You need to remember that therer are people out there who are 5"2 etc etc so i don't think you are in a bad position being 5"11. As far as relationships with women go you are very unlikely to meet a girl at even 5"10 let alone 5"11-6"0 as most girls range between 5"2 and 5"7. Thats a decent height to be in my eyes because you don't want to be too much taller. I understand that by having that big 6 number in your height gives you that extra punch when someone asks you yoyr height but why don't you just say just under 6Ft? Im as you can see bellow 6' 1 2/3" to be exact and i've been out with girls who were 5"2-5"3-5"4 etc and i really wished that i was about 5"10 or 5"11.

hi I am 25 and I just came across this website on searching on google : "how to grow taller after puberty"
findout the info on that webpage, its absolutely free... no payments nothing. Just few stretch exercises. always remember spine never fuses ..if it fuses u cannot bend. The cartilage is present b/w the plates of ur spine and where there is cartilage there is always a 100% chance of growth of cartilage. spine can grow even after the age of 20. I have grown 3.4 cms after starting this programme in past 2 months. 172 cms to 175.4 cms (not bad!) Now I estimate that I will grow 3 cms more in about 4-6 months. Have patience! Let your spine stretch!

Just turned 21 today! Woohoo! :)

I've been reading some of the previous posts and found that some people recommend stretches and sleeping without a pillow. I'd definitely have to agree! I've been doing this for quite a few days now, and the way it straightens your posture will add at least half-an-inch to your height. (I know this for a fact, since it happened to me). All you really need is patience and determination. And a big appetite to supplement your dietary needs.

I'll try to take up on that cod liver oil tip and see if that would help me reach my goal. I'm currently at 5'6.5" and my target is at least 5'8 to 5'9 by the age of 22. That's a year from now! Well, I'll get back at you guys on my progress.

trueheight, youve obviously never heard of Di Vinci's Vitruvian Man. You should look it up sometime. It states that the perfect proportional body has an arm span exactly the same length as there height. People with the same arm span as there body do not look out of proportion at all. I know this because i am exactly 186cm in the morning and my arm span is 186cm. I have even asked people if my arms look short, and everyone i have asked has said that they look perfectly in proportion. Thats not to say that there is anything wrong with have long arms. On the contary there are lots of advantages. Im just saying that what your saying is rubbish.

According to MISHA, armspan exceeding height is VERY RARE. Let me give you my story. I'm 18 yrs old and 5'10 with a freakish 6'4 armspan. I have had very steady growth (you know? the 'normal' 2-2.5 inches a year) from childhood all the way to the age of 16, but my growth appears to be stalling a bit which is a tad funny considering I NEVER had one of those growth spurts of 4 or 5 inches. Let me also add that I have 8.5 inches long hands (which according to several sites is one inch LONGER than the average) and I have very long legs for someone my height. I also wear a size 13 sneaker.

So uh, IS THAT GROWTH SPURT COMING OR WHAT? do I have a shot at late growth?

2)half an inch

sleeping without a pillow helps your spine to stretch to its full potential, also use a spine sretching rack, which helps to stretch the spine and back. also i find that i don't get a stiff neck when i wake up, when i sleep without a pillow.

Please don't misquote me - read my post - I didn't say armspan was normally 3-4 inches greater than height - I said it is usually a bit more - 1 to 2 inches longer would be a good average (i.e., armspan is 2% - 3% greater than height). Going in the other direction, it is very rare for someone's armspan to exceed his height. This is an important body indicator that makes me think Russell Crowe cannot be 5'10" to 5'11" in his bare feet - in "Gladiator" his arms are just too short for him to be that tall - same goes for his legs in the many
scenes where they can be closely observed.

And by the way, Alexander, I hope that science techer's contract renewal is not based on his knowledge - your armspan will always be greater than your height, even in old age, so you'll have the same problem even when you're a "starik" (if I've judged your port of origin correctly).
antron said on 26/Mar/07
mike is right about "wingspan" while your arms certainly could add up to 4 in longer than your height, I would say that is normal, but not average. It is usually a bit closer to one's height. For the record, I'm 169cm and "wingspan" of 174cm.

arm span is NOT 3-4 inches longer than height on average, I mean, I reading this and I'm all like WHAT? Look, armspan more times than not is within 2 inches of your height. Me for example, I'm 6'1 with a 6'3 armspan BUT yes there are exceptions
Shaun said on 17/Mar/07
The average height for a British man is 1.76cm (5ft 9 1/4") and the average for a woman is 1.63cm (5ft 4"). I myself range from 5ft 7 1/4" (morning height) to 5ft 6 3/4" (evening height). The average heights have to be taken into consideration. Many comments are of people who consider 5' 8" for men short which it is not. I myself see anything below 1.70.18cm (5'7") men and 1.57.5cm (5'2") women as on the Shorter side of height. The tall side would be 6' and over for men and 5'7" and over for women. Tom Cruise-5'7" (1.70.18cm) not 1.72cm isn't short, granted below average but not tiny Tom.
trueheight said on 17/Mar/07
And Mischa is absolutely right - average wingspan is 3-4inches longer than your height - the case is true for almost everyone tall or short. I'm 5'9, my wingspan is 6'3 - a bit longer than average. But yes, your wingspan SHOULD be about 4in longer than your height.

Alex, that is not true. Bruce Lee was 5'7 yet had a 6' wingspan. His is longer than average like me - but most will find that their wingpsan is 3in taller, doesn't mean you will grow.

Ppl who's wingspans match their height or are shorter look very weird b/c they appear to have short stumpy arms.

Take this test - I guarantee that at least 90% have longer wingspans - its apart of human physiology
trueheight said on 16/Mar/07
Anon: i wish you'd stop trying to give false hope.
1) The only hope for guys is, you can grow till your 25 - but 100% of it has to do w/ genetics. You will reach your max genetic potential provided you had a healthy childhood and wern't like starving.

2)stretching or liver oil or milk won't help a bit once you've STOPPED GROWING. A good marker for late growth is to inquire on whether your mom or dad's growth pattern - if one of them grew into their 20s, then you will almost certainly follow that pattern. Otherwise, you will stop growing pretty much the same time your parents stopped growing. The pattern is highly hereditary

3) The only things that will stunt your growth is: either you had a very serious chronic childhood illness like cancer, either your diet as a child was abysmal(only need calcium and protein anyway), or you damaged a growth plate in your hip area.

Proper weight training, smoking, doing dope, eating junk and not excercising will NOT have any remarkable bearing on your growth. Trust me, I have very tall friends who've users of tobacco, pot and alcohol since age 13

If your parents are short, chances are very high that you will be short or are short. There are exceptions of course, but they weren't the result of taking extra vitamins, stretches etc.
Alexander said on 13/Mar/07
Misha i remember when i came to the USofA 4 years ago, my science teacher in high school said that if your shorter than your armspan, then you have room to grow more or something of that nature. Is that true?
misha said on 13/Mar/07
A technical point: your armspan is generally slightly more than your height. Obviously this can vary considerably depending on whether you have short, medium or long arms for your height. Muhammad Ali, for example, had
a reach of 81 inches but was about 6'2.5". Still, his arms were long even for his height - if his height had matched his reach, he would have been 6'9"! Mike Tyson's arms were fairly short, but so was he for a heavyweight who dominated the division for fifteen years. His reach is 71 inches, and I believe his height is just slightly under the 5'10" he has finally been
"rounded down" to after passing for 5'11.5" for a very long time. I am between 5'11" and 6'0", and my reach is 6'1.5". So we see a rather consistent pattern here - I have a hunch that if you really hit your armspan with your height, you'd look short-armed, so you'd want your arms to get just a bit longer, thus whole process would repeat itself! We are undoubtedly wiser accepting this
relationship the way nature has designed it. An example of absurdly long arms
compared to legs and torso would be the chimpanzee, yes, the other great ape species as well, but chimps in particular have such short legs that it really accentuates their tremendously elongated arms.

I'm 18 and about 175-176 and i haven't really grown since I was 15. Any advice on how to get an extra inch in? I might try cod liver oil and a higher protein diet but are there any other tips? At my age do you think there's much chance I'll grow any more. I think in the last summer i gained a cm or two

Why don't you just shut your mouth. It's not really about growing taller, its about Accomplishing something in life, doing something extrodinary in your life. People like you live miserable angry lives.
Anonymous said on 26/Feb/07
Why do you people all have such a sick obsession with growing taller? This is pretty stupid. Why not just accept yourself for the height you are. Chances are evolution and genetics made you the size you are for a reason. Do you really think life will be so much better if you are fractionally taller? get over it you bloody idiots. I'm a very average 177cm and happy with it. If all you guys hope to achieve in your life is being a bit taller than average then I feel sorry for you, chances are you going to live very boring and unaccomplished lives.

ppl to grow taller u need to do stretches. i do exercise which has helped me gain 1/2 an inch in 2 months. i ly down on a sofa or a bed face down, then i place 2 pillows on top of each other and rest my head on it for about 2 hours a day.

do 1 hour in the morning while watching TV or sumthin and 1 hour at night. make sure the pillows are fat, so it really stretches ur spine while ur laying face down.

it truly works. you got also try YOGA that helps too.

ANY cod lover capsules doesn't help, it seems like Seven Seas had more vitamins in them opposed to American cod live oil.

I have a question that i hope someone can answer that has gained height or at least knows what im talking about.

Lets say your natural height is 5 feet 11 inches and you shrink half an inch at the end of the day leaving you at 5 feet 10 1/2 inches. You then put yourself on a program of doing stretches and cod liver oil and you gain 2 inches. Your now 6 foot 1 inch in the moring.

But the question im asking is if your 6'1 in the moring...will you shrink down to 5 feet 10 1/2 inches tall at night? That has always wondered in my mind since i do hear about people gaining height. Has anyone who has gained height confirm this?
Anonymous said on 13/Feb/07
sorry correction, £2.69 for 60 cod liver oil caps about $5 in the US. does not have to be Seven Seas, as long as they are cod liver oil capsules! (any brand will do!)

I think Hgh needs to be injected during the growth process while bones are still lenghting and cartilage is still hardening. I think once your growth plates close, HGH just helps with muscles. Look at suspected Barry bonds. I don't think he has grown from the 6-6'1 he is but he has packed on like 50 friggin pounds of muscle, and his head went from normal to the cranimum of a damn bison.

cod liver oil capsules cost around £2.50 for 60 capsules (they are a multi vitimin capsules) they are excellent for your bones, help you to grow, for joints, for your nails and hair! availble from all good chemists. they are NOT a miracle drug!!....

I knew your height had to be around your arm span. My arm span is 6'3 and i end up being only 5'11.5 I would like to be 6'1.
Anonymous said on 7/Feb/07
does anyone know anything about injectable hgh for growing taller?
micheal said on 7/Feb/07
guys the cod oil is a scam all those guys probably work for the company, dont look for miracle drugs, just be happy with your height and if your below age 17, eat lots of food, (preferably with lots of nutrients) it may make you overweight but youll gain height

Anonymous u seem to tried a lot of things.. Guys let me tell u my case i am male and was 165 at 16 later after 18 I stopped growing. My height is just 167. People say if u stretch ur hands and measure it will be approximately equal to ur height. For me it measures to be 178. 11 cms short. I dont know what happened to me. I used stand in last for P.T in schools . Now I find myself too small and short.. I know height is not a big deall and no need to worry too much on it. But its causing me feel bad at times.. If someone can help in any way please let me know.. please... I am 22 now... its not possible is what doctors say.. But I still have some hope...

Blueboy, you've grown, and you stated that IN THE MORNING you are 6 feet and a half, you do realize that you're shorter at night, and you could very well shrink back to 5'11. Unless you were 5'11 in teh morning ten months ago.

I'm 22 and I thinking about taking HGH(humatrope) to grow a couple of inches(2-3...question, will it work? how much do you estimate i will need to take and how long?
Anonymous said on 1/Feb/07
Wow blueboy, what a great story. So basically you have grown an inch in 10 months, but who knows maybe you grew faster than 10 months and wasn't aware? But anways good job.
blueboy said on 30/Jan/07
I was I'm currently 22 and was height 5'11.5 about 10 months ago. In the last few months I've eaten tons of red meat, burgers (FRESH) quater pounders, mince, steak + shed loads of milk and for a few weeks lots of cod liver oil. I noticed at xmas on at least 3 occasions members of family/friends have commented that i've grown. In the morning i'm now roughly 184cm (6' 1/2").

Serously guys I never thought I'd grow again but I have. BUT there is a draw back, I put on 2 stone in weight from that kind of heavy diet (I've shed most of the weight not) but in my opinion it was worth it.

Cannot believe I have grown, I thought maybe it was wishful thinking when I looked at the tape measure. But the comments from family/friends have confirmed it for me.

If you want to push for an extra inch/half and inch when you're 21 and onwards just follow my diet plan. (Not sure if the cod liver oil had any affect but to be fair my growth period was whilst I was taking it (admitadly along with all the other high protein/calcium food).

So follow those steps if you wanna give it a try but be prepared to jog your ass off to shift the weight! Remember- fuel your body on calicium (bone growth) and protein.

Hope this helps!

Blueboy- six foot and a half! :-b

Mia, Seven Seas does work! I added 2 inches after the age of 20, when I began to take the capsules.
I was told by someone who had taken SS he and his brothers grew well over 6 foot. (their heights range from 6'1 to 6'3)

This whole lift thing is getting out of hand, people are feeding on each other's insecurities. If this continues everyone will be walking around on stilts
josh said on 23/Jan/07
i'm 6'0 tall by the way - but about the seven seas - honestly lol - how is that gonna help - my dad is a doctor and says that you would have to drink one hell of a lot of it and it still wouldn't do anything to your height - u just need ur sleep - and make sure you keep active - anythin around 5'6 for females and 5'8 for males (-well at least that is the 'average') - but nowadays most teenagers (-like moi) grow at least 2 inches above those sort of benchmark averages.

I do not believe John Wayne wore shoe lifts, certainly not giant ones like Bobby Darin and Robert Mitchum suggested. It's a little know fact that he DID wear high heels--very high heels--in his cowboy pictures, and this can be confirmed by still shots from his movies. They were often disguised with spurs and a close-fitting pantsleg. At first I thought they were 2.5" heels but I've been studying photos of Wayne tonight and they appeared to be a full 3" in height. I have never seen men's cowboy boots with heels that high in western wear stores--they usually top out at 2.5". In the 1950s and 60s, when most men wore 3/4" shoe heels, Wayne's boots would have looked outlandish, and I think that's where the "3-4" lifts" comment comes from. I will post photos of Wayne's boots soon.

Rich: Seven Seas capsules/liquid are sold in the United Kingdom (UK)
I would suggest you look for them on the Internet and see if you can find a supplier from the UK who will post them to the USA.
Try 'Boots' Chemists or 'Lloyds' Chemists.

Anyone know of any relations to arm length and height? I always heard that your arm length is supposed to be the same as your height. Im 71 inches or 5'11 but my arm span is 74 inches, which is 6'2...what gives? I remember hearing my science teacher a long time ago saying that if your arm span is longer than your height than you have room to grow, or something like that.

Anybody?

The level of vitamin A and D in Cod liver oil are at a safe level and as I said before one-a-day is what i would recommend or one cap every two days. As for streching i split my session half in the morning and half at night.
Anonymous said on 28/Dec/06
Anonymous, how do you feel about the levels of vitamin A and D in cod liver oil? Some people feel that they have potential to be toxic. As far as stretching, do you feel its better to do it at night or in the morning (or perhaps throughout the entire day).
Anonymous said on 27/Dec/06
Marc, I also use a Shiatsu Spinal Rack for my streching. It is an excellent tool to help strech my back.
Anonymous said on 27/Dec/06
marc, I gained 2.5 inches after the age of 20/21, I also know that you can gain height up to the age of 25. To boost your chances of maximum gain, i would say that you need to spend as much time as possible e.g in the summmer months in a hot climate country, and if you can on the coast. still do those things you are doing and sleep on a good mattress (orthopedic) without a pillow.Stay positive and Good luck!
marc said on 25/Dec/06
anonymous, do i still have good potential for growth at 21? I try to do spinal stretches everyday, and i'm gonna start doing some extended seat cycling as well. I've been taking multivitamins and cod liver oil, as well as drinking lots of milk. ideally i wanna grow taller than 5'8" i'm not sure if thats possible for me, i'm at 5'4 3/4"

hi, I have a question and please answer to it because it's very important to me: I was wearing lifts and elevator shoes for a couple of months, also runing around in them sometimes, when I was 15 because I'm am only about 5'5. Now since then and I'm almost 17 now I haven't grown much(not even an inch) and my legs are a bitt more like "o-legs". Is it possible that the elevators have influenc my growth and the form of my legs?
Anonymous said on 24/Dec/06
Hey rich I think 26 years old is a little late to be expecting growth but then again you could always try stretching exercises or improving your posture which could give you a couple of centimeters
Anonymous said on 23/Dec/06
Rich: First you should stop smoking, if you are serious about increasing your height. In addition, to taking cod liver oil and drinking milk, you need to take a protein shake on a daily basis, but also start a streching programme and sleeping without a pillow on a new firm orthopedic mattress. if you can spend a few weeks in the summer on the coast in a hot climate, it will help your lungs to recover from the smoking and it could help you to grow. With the streching programme and sleeping without a pillow, you can add an additional 1 to 2 inches in height. more than 2 inches you will need cosmetic leg lenghtening procedure where you can add up to 4 to 6 inches in height! very expensive and painful.
I have started a streching programme everyday for an hour and sleeping on a firm new orthopedic matress without a pillow and over the last 8 weeks have gained half an inch!
good luck Rich

Cod Liver Oil: it does say 3-6 capsules a day. the problem is they are very hot and you will be running to the toilet all day! One a day is a safe dose. A family I know, their mother gave her 3 sons when they were 13 or 14 years old, One Capsule a day ....all 3 grew to be over six foot! The shortest being 6'2. Both Parents were around the 5'4 mark. Every one I know takes one a day or one capsule every two days, if they find one-a-day too hot. Angelia Rippon (Ex- BBC newsreader)also takes one cap a day for her joints.

i m 26 years old and about 5'7 inches tall. I've been smoking for the last 5-6 years, not regular though! Is it possible to grow if I start taking cod liver oil and milk everyday. I want to be atleast 5'10. Please suggest. Cheers!!
