@ Sandy Cowell - They are amazingly relaxing and therapeutic and the world would be better place if everyone was contented enough with a satisfactory standard of living and Word Wheels to get up to every morning, I’m sure Alan would agree as would some other people too. Being tall or not shouldn’t matter as long as long as there are things like Word Wheels and Sudoku’s to entertain the most interesting and important part of our body, the brain.

I LOVE the World Wheels too, Nik, and omitted to mention it before.

@ Sandy Cowell - That’s very true, it’s always best to take what the press say with a pinch of salt but the Daily Mail may not be too far out in terms of how tall they claim Alan Sugar is! I like the puzzles too and I will have a go at them very soon, I like the “word wheels”!

4’11” is probably about as common in the adult population as 6’1” and Alan is probably about half way between these two heights!

I read the Daily Mail too, Nik! I like the sudokus and the crosswords. They’re always reliably good, unlike the news.

Alan gets 5ft7 peak and 5ft6 now.

I’ve seen him described as 5’6” in the Daily Mail!

I always had the impression he wasn't a terribly tall guy on the apprentice.

I would estimate 5ft 6.5" barefoot for Mr Sugar.
He has short proportions similar to Elton John and Simon Cowell.
Looking at pictures of him and 5ft 7.5 - 8" Terry Venables back a few decades (pre-lift days), Terry has at least an inch height on him.

He always gave me big man vibes

Listed as 5ft 6in in many, many places. I'm surprised to find out he's actually a bit taller.

It would be great to have my photograph taken with him!

He looks about 5'6" in shoes. Younger height peak may have been 5'7"

That is very interesting John Wang! If Nick Hewer is considered to be 5ft7 now, than, coupled with your own personal experience, John, and from what I've seen of Mr Sugar on TV, I think he needs a downgrade for today's height.

I will give him 5ft6 for nowadays and 5ft7.5 for his youthful height.
John Wang said on 5/Feb/19
He is not 5'7. I saw him in my old office - he is MAX 5'6 and I would say potentially shorter.

Click Here Rob how tall do you think Sugar’s new business partner James White is? 5’10”-ish?
Editor Rob
somewhere around that 5ft 10 range is possible.

Rob, do you think Claude Littner is any taller than Sugar? Click Here Click Here
Editor Rob
they seem quite close actually, think you'd need to measure them both to be certain who was slightly taller.
Cameron said on 4/Nov/16
Hard to guess but I would say your accurate I mean when you see him sat down his shoulders aren't very broad reflecting his height
Aza said on 16/Oct/16
Think he is in 5'6 ish range today.
Sandy Cowell said on 14/Oct/16
Yeah, yeah, a typically short, squat businessman-type, probably wearing extra height in his shoes and pretending he doesn't care!
Well, he's hardly going to make a living from his good looks and charm, that's for certain!

Hey Rob,

the woman in the above pic is wearing some big high heels. How much would these give?
Editor Rob
Karen has probably gained a bit more than 4 inches of actual height...as much as 4.5 maybe.
A2Z said on 13/Oct/16
I highly doubt he's over 5'7, he always gave a 5'6 impression ever since I watched him on Apprentice for the last decade.
Nik said on 13/Oct/16
I doubt he's this tall. Maybe 5'6 - 5'6.5. What about Nick Hewer ? About 5'8.25 - 5'8.5 ?
Nik said on 13/Oct/16
I doubt he's this tall. Maybe 5'6 - 5'6.5.

What would Karen Brady be then, always read in the mags she was 5ft 6 but those shoes must have 5 or 6 inch heels giving her a good 4 inches, she only looks an inch an half bigger than Sugar?
Editor Rob
Karen did claim to be 5ft 6
