Many happy returns to this most fantastic of comediennes and actresses. Even my brother liked her shows and kept badgering me to put the DVDs on again and again!

@ Rob - The link you have provided is a wonderful addition to her page!
It's not a terrible claim...I feel she is somewhere in 5ft 6-6.5 zone rather than a full 5ft 7.

It would be interesting to know what she claims!
- she used to have herself listed 5ft 7 in the casting directories.
In person I don't think she is that tall though.

I met her a convention and I am 5'6, she was actually slightly smaller than me
I edited your username as you shouldn't have used an email for it ;)

I say maybe a weak 5'6"

When she was on Alan Carr's show she looked about the same height as Davina Mccall. Rob you met her do you reckon she is only a shade over 5'6"?.
Editor Rob: yes, I would say that solid 5ft 6 range in person

I love her comedy show, but barely saw her in Dr Who! So the swearing Granny is 5ft6.5 then! Subconsciously, I expected her to be smaller, probably because the cackling old pensioner amuses me the most, but I'm fond of any character she invents, and there are plenty to choose from!
I thought Catherine was around 5ft5, but I'll still go along with the height written down here! I can't base my guess on someone she's created who is expected to be all hunched over if she's to be played well! And played well she is!
I want to be like that when I get to that sort of age! I'm trying to get plenty of practice in now!

How tall did she appear to you taking away the footwear advantage?
Editor Rob: Blake, she wasn't much less, about 172 range I'd have thought.

Her character in Big School claims 5 ft 9.

Saw her today in Starbucks. She seemed my height - maybe a cm or 2 shorter. I was in my Don's though... which bring me from 167cm to around 171. To me, she looked a solid 5'7".

I'm 5'9, and when I met her I was wearing flats. We were almost exactly eye to eye, she slightly shorter, and her shoes had heels. So I'd agree with somewhere in the ballpark of 5'8, although I'm tempted to say 5'7 because I was slightly taller.

I met Catherine, and I'm 5 ft 7. She was slightly taller than me, so I guess she's about 5 ft 8, maybe a bit smaller. In cm I think she's like 172 cm

Don't hesitate, give him another half inch. He has huge head I've noticed.

This guy has a BIG sense of humour! Saw Blackfoot in '82, outdoors (with Y&T and Michael Schenker Group), and his charisma was similar to that of Philip Lynott).
