I saw him in the street a few months ago, and I'd say he's significantly shorter than 5'8". I'm 5'10" and I towered over him; I'd guestimate nearer 5'6"

just from seeing him onscreen alone i'd assume at least 5'9 for cillian. but from reading various fan encounters and looking closely at more pics of him, i think he may be quite a bit shorter.....

I can't picture this guy being any shorter than 5'7". However, I do accept the possibility of 5'6". Quite Frankly, I havn't seen enough movies/pics etc to narrow him down. Probly not 5'9" though

ACG- I know he hasn't met him yet.. I'm patiently awaiting the day we see Glenn & he's pic on the front page. Only thing is I hear he's not so picture friendly.. but Glenn is amazing, so no doubt we'll see he up there soon. I think Cillian is due for a movie in the states.

from top of the head to the eye level is about 4-5 inches in most men.
If Lucy is 5'2 (or perhaps even slightly less), then his height 5'6 - 5'7 is easy to see.

Yeah, look at the picture of him w/ Lucy Lui. She's on her toes in most of the shots and the one's she's not he's quite taller than her. AND look at the other pictures of him next to Neve Campbell posted below. I'm not sure, but 5'6 is a bit low.

Look at the pictures of him with Lucy Liu. You can see everything, even footwear.
She comes up to about his nose and she's 5'2. He's 5'6 min 5'7 absolute max, no question.

I can't believe he is only 5'8. I'm 5'8 and IF I stood next to this guy he would tower over me. He looks tall in his films esp. in 28 Days Later(he looked at least 5'11)but in Batman Begins he was shorter than Christian Bale. I really believe Cillian is 5'10 or 5'11.

He's a great actor, like Jimmy stated, so who cares! Hey,I don't think he's trying to be a basketball player! He also has never claimed to be a tall guy. Hollywood is smart to cast short actresses in his movies to make him look tall.

I'd believe 5'7" or 5'8" for Cillian. Don't really buy the 5'6" & under claims. He's so slight, he must not weigh that much over a 100 pounds.

There is a scene in the movie where she is stood next to him in the elevator, and thats how tall i was next to her, when she was wearing the same thing. He is 5'6, and a bit i think. But his is reallllllyyy thin. So he appears to look taller. Seriously this is is very thin lol. But hes an awesome guy, and one of the best actors around. If anyones put off by his height. If Katie Holmes is 5'9 and shes wearing 2 inch heels plus, then this would clarify Cillian's height at around 5'8. I'd still put him an inch shorter though.

the 2nd photo is probably the best. You see that Bale has approx. 5in on Murphy who is upright while Bale is leaning to his left. From these photos, you can see that Murphy has an unusually long neck and a shoulders that are slanted down rather than horizontal both of which can make a person 'seem taller' if a solo picture was taken. imo he's 171cm max.
curiously, Freeman looks only 6'1 in this pic.
In the 2nd photo, observe the GLARING height difference b/t Murphy, who upright and Holmes, who is in a serious slouch w/ knees bent. She already has 3in on him and would have 4-5 if she were upright.

If you follow my logic and see that Holmes is actually 5in taller than Murphy if she truly stood upright(which she never seems to do anymore, i wonder why ;) then the 5'6" claims for Murphy would not sound so brash or dubious

I met him in cork (Ireland) recently and he is very small definetly not the 5'9 stated here he is the exact same height as my girlfriend who is 5'6.I was really suprised how small and skinny he was he looks average height in all his films

I have a few pictures of Cillian with the other stars of Batman Begins. He looks really short in them.

After watching Intermission, i would say Cillian is about 5'8", because there were a couple of scenes where Cillian was standing side by side with Colin Farrell. I saw at least two inches of difference in the two, and with Farrell being boarderline 5'10", that would make Cillian 5'8". And since it wasnt a big Hollywood movie, you dont have to worry about show lifts or anything...
