He seems to be the exact same height as Jamie Foxx, whose own height seems to be a huge bone of contension, here.

Here is a rare pic of him barefoot, next to Foxx. Not the best of picture, but you can tell they are almost near similar height when you take into the fact that Jamie has on shoes and Farrell doesn't:

Frank seems to be very good at guesstimating heights, which is why I'm starting to believe that everyone who's saying Jamie Foxx is close to 5'10" may very well be wrong.

Also, here he is with 5'9" Jared Leto. He looks ever-so-slightly taller than Jared, but definitely not a full inch. I say he's more around 5'9.25"

Maybe stiletto pumps! The last time I saw Tony Curtis I noticed his shoes could have been purchased in the women's section.

Again, I've seen Farrell and he's a small guy. I doubt he weighs any more than 145 lbs. Being close to 200 lbs. myself, I felt like I was Orson Welles next to him! Time to diet.

Yet another actor that people want to make small. In comparison to 6’ plus people Mr Farrell is short, but the guy is still 5’10”. The people here saying that Colin Farrell is 5’8” are probably the same people imagining Stallone as 5’7” and Schwarzenegger as 5’10”. Is this campaign to make Colin short a result of some individuals that are jealous that women are sexually compelled by Colin Farrell?

I think the movie Alexander is a good point of comparision ,because he was unable to use cowboy boots was forced to use that sandal-roman shoes , with almost no heel , compare him with Val kilmer in that movie and you can see the height differencem, from that , you can know if he is wearing big heels or lifts in premieres comparin the height difference of Alexander with the premiere , if you can use the height of Kilmer as refference , you can compare Colin with other celebs based on the comparision with Val , so you can tell if he is wearing boots or lifts or simply normal shoes.

No no no, trust me he is atleaste 5'10"! I worked with him 5 days on the set of Miami Vice at Club Mansion on South Beach and I spoke to him a bunch of times. He is just a rare celebrity who doesnt lie about his height, so naturally you want to downgrade him ie:(Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake) If he said he was 6'0 you would say no way he is 5'10, which he is. I am a medical 5'9" and he was atleast an inch taller then me and Jamie Foxx and we were all in similiar shoes. If u ever saw the TRL where colin was interview by Damien he was at most 1.5" shorter then him.

Yah, it is hard to guesstimate from that photo of him and Sam L Jackson.

But honestly, the most telling pic is the one of Glenn and Colin. Glenn is standing tall and Colin is leaning in. Honestly looks like it would be close to 2 inches if he was standing straight up. He may be a little under 5'10" but I think he is closer to 5'10" than he is to 5'9". Then again, could be funky footwear at work again. ;-)

I worked with Colin Farrell on the set of Miami Vice in The Mansion club scene. I stood right next to him and talked to him for a bit. He is def. 5'10, i would even put him in the 5'11 range. We were both wearing similiar shoes and I am a medical 5'9" and he was visibly taller then me. He is also taller then Jamie Foxx who gets listed at 5'10.5.

i saw colin's wax figure at the madam tussaud's in london. again, not sure how accurate these figures are, but by using me and my friend as comparisions, colin's figure looks exactly 5'10". It had long legs too. Just giving my 2-cents.

I understand your ideas guys, but i must say that to compare him to T. Cruise in Minority Report is not the best one. In War of the Worlds Tom looks the same or very close height to Justin Chatwin who's 5'10"-5'11" (his son in the film), I think that he forces the directors to put the camera in a way he never looks smaller than any 5'10"/avg guy. I think he could be 177cm, but what said above doesn't deny a posible 174cm only the Farrell-Hanks comparison.

to the guy that says colin is short because he is irish and "hispanic-looking": it might have been true many years ago that both irish and spanish people were shorter than other europeans due to poverty, but nowadays no one starves in Europe, so your comment makes absolutely no sense. And referring to the hispanic look of Colin you should definitely buy an European History book; Colin looks celtic, irish people are celtic-saxons. The celtics emigrated to Spain before the Roman empire, so spaniards are celtic-iberians. That's why sometimes irish and spanish look alike. There's no "smaller iberian race that went to ireland during the dark ages". I hope all this helps to improve your tiny culture.
P.S.: i'm a 5'11'' spanish woman, and mya huspand is a 6' irish.

actually id say five foot nine at most, and to the guy who said that irish men have a shorter average in europe what era is he taking that from im dutch and living in ireland and most guys are around six foot which give them a taller average than most europeans here so u cant really be sure how tall a man is by conjecture alone

They usually use camera tricks to make short actors appear taller on the big screen to give them a better "image". Colin is a tiny guy, and he is 5'7 because I saw him at some club with my colleagues. I'm 5'85 myself, but he appeared to be a bit shorter than me.

Depending on the picture angle and posture Farrell looks a good 2.5 to 4 inches shorter than Stone, even in high-heeled cowboy boots. But then if Stone is not even 6ft....Colin's height keeps shortening.

Its pretty accurate if you tell me, im 5.10 1/2 1.79 exactly, my legs are longer than most 5.11-6.00ft males, so I went to the doctor simply because i was worried, he said that it was completely normal, since i would still be growing at least two more years, i was 5.9 1/2, 1.76-1.77 (on a good day LOL) a month ago and now i grew about inch, yet my torso is the one growing not my legs. Im 18 years old, most males stop growing at that age, but my growing process it has always been slow. I would say its pretty accurate... It may vary in some people but the difference is not huge, proportion is a big thing in the human body.

It is not always accurate to use torso/leg legnth to judge a person's height. I'm just under 5'8'' ( somewhere between 5'7.5 and 5'7.75) and I wear the same legnth pants as my father who is nearly 5'10''. I simply have longer legs and a shorter torso, but that doesn't make me any shorter. In all the films that I've seen him in, Colin looks a solid 5'9'' and change. He's taller than Oliver Martinez in SWAT. He is certainly not 5'7'' or 5'8'' if martinez is at least that height. In pictures beside other people with proven heights, he stands far too tall next to them to be as short as some are making him out to be. He probably just has longer legs than most people of his size, as I do.

I think he is wearing 6 inch elevator shoes(shoes that are made like heals but you can not tell all the time because of how good they are made) I'd say he is really 5 ft 7.5 inches. I can't see him being 5ft 9.5 because his build is just too weird to come to the average height for a male.

Just watched Minority Report and this guy could never be around 5'10" he was about the same height as Tom Cruise, now that i've seen this movie again i feel Sean is right, Colin is a max 5'8" but i feel he is more around 5'7" how he got people to list him as 5'11" is a big mystery to me, because in every movie i see him he looks short,especially in S.W.A.T. Not even his stupid hairstyle saves him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was like 5'6" the guy just does not look tall, and i'm sure he was wearing elevators in S.W.A.T. so what does that say??? Compare Colin's wax figure with Angelina Jolie's, at getty images. There's a shot of the two figures next to each other, with Jolie's figure clearly wearing sandals, Colin's Alexander wearing the a war boot. (This is important because in every other picture, Colin is wearing funky boots with huge heels)

Colin's figure is slightly shorter than Jolie's. I do believe wax figures are meticulously made, so I would imagine they're fairly accurate. Since this is the only shot with both Jolie and Colin without any deceptive footwear, I would imagine Colin Farrell to be very close to Jolie's height, when both are barefoot. That would make him around 5'7"
