Editor Rob for being 60 I think he's doing ok, he is a bit thinner these days, but still in person looks near 6ft 4 than many actors who have claimed to be that height.

Hasselhoff and Seagal are virtually the same height both were a strong 6ft 4in 30+ years ago. Now they are a flat 6ft 4in or a tad under it. Both will probably drop to 6ft 3in in their seventies.

I'd more say he was 6'4" at his peak. I met him at Supanova Pop Culture Expo earlier this year and I'm 5'10" (5'11" in my shoes) and he seemed more 6'3"-6'3.5" to me.

I remember in one Baywatch episode Hoff claimed to be 193 pounds. He slimmed down a lot by the mid to late 90s but in this episode from around 1992 he looks nearer 220 pounds to me and really looks a lot heavier running on the beach than he did later on. The bald lifeguard Newman seems to edge him out, he looked at least 6'4". He's looked slender since the mid 1990s but he really looked a lump back in 1992 and you could see he was carrying more weight as his face was fatter, looked like Michael Ball in 1992. He probably was 193 pounds later on but he definitely wasn't as low as that in 1992! His daughters are carrying a bit of weight, so I suspect if he's not naturally as slender as he is and really has to work hard to stay looking as good as he does.

The only time I've seen him look anything slightly under is next to David Cameron and next to that 6'6" guy on TV and even then he looked 6'3.5". Give it a few years he might be nearer 6'3"...

By the way if you are speaking of the more recent red carpet pictures of Hasselhoff with Russell Brand (type in both names in google) There is one picture showing their lower legs/whole body and shoes in the whole shot and I would have to concur that Russell was indeed in his Cuban Beatle boots. Which have a 2" heel and elevation. Check it out here, Click Here BUT LOOK AT HASSELFHOFFS thin-sole white shoes he is wearing. They look like that have maybe .5" inch raise if that.
So let's estimate 6'4" hasselhoff is in standard thin-sole shoes, this would put him at 6'4.5" and Brand is in his Cuban Beatle Boots at 6'1" (I think he is more 184cm but I am willing and open for debate and evidence) plus 2" cuban beatle boots would put him at 6'3" (I would suspect 6'2.5" as I think he is more 184 than 186) in shoes with the hair affect (admittedly not an issue in this shot) he can look 6'3.5" to 6'4" with hair effect. That is why you will notice only a 1.5" inch difference.

Hey, just to say its possible to grow after 20, i'm ethnically indian indian but my roots are from Trinidad and i was born im England, maybe better diet helped lol as my mums 5ft 3 and dad 5ft 9. At 20 i was 6ft 1 exactly and last time i got measured (25) i was 6ft 2 and a little, same doctor same height thingy :) I agree with posters who say he dosen't look massive in Knight Rider, i always thought he was average 5 10ish when i was growing up, only lately when i saw pictures of him now i can see how big he really is.

Look, I was born in '84 and Knight Rider series are from '82... the show is way before I was born. I only got to see it for the first time about a year or two ago on the Star World channel with their cheap re-runs of old shows. I didn't say Knight Rider sucks or anything like that, I just said it wasn't to my taste just like almost any show from the 80's, it just seems to old style and everything too old fashioned to my liking. Just the intro music to Knight Rider gave me a headache everytime... Altho probably if I was born in the '70s and watched Knight Rider while growing up when it was originally playing, perhaps I would see that TV show as a 'bad ass' as well :P. I like old westerns from the '60s even tho those been made way way before I was born but Knight Rider just doesn't do it for me.... haha end of story, just wanted to clear things up so any Knight Rider fans here will not get offended as it was not my intention.
Anyway back to the main subject David Hasselhoff looks a solid 6'4", even tho I firmly believe he's a 6'4", I said he *looks* (but I know he's 6'4") more 6'2ish on Knight Rider is perhaps on Knight Rider he's very thin and I'm used to seeing him in his later years when he's more developed with more meat on him and broader which attributes even more to his height imho.

I like old westerns from the '60s even tho those been made way way before I was born but Knight Rider just doesn't do it for me.... haha end of story, just wanted to clear things up so any Knight Rider fans here will not get offended as it was not my intention.
Anyway back to the main subject David Hasselhoff looks a solid 6'4", even tho I firmly believe he's a 6'4", I said he *looks* (but I know he's 6'4") more 6'2ish on Knight Rider is perhaps on Knight Rider he's very thin and I'm used to seeing him in his later years when he's more developed with more meat on him and broader which attributes even more to his height imho.

Lock, if you think that show was boring, than you seriously need help. Besides, he looked 6`4 almost all of the time. Ocasionally shorter though. likely cinematographies fault ;)

Hasselhoff always looked 6-4 on Knight Rider, and on a couple of occasions did look closer to 6-6. I attribute it to footwear and camera angles. He never looked as short as 6-2, at least not to me. Also lock, how could you hate Knight Rider? That show was badass in its day, and still cool to watch now.

To all the people here who say that Dave looked 6'5 - 6'6 in Knight Rider I just don't get you!
As much as I hate that TV programme it used to be everyday on Star World channel at an hour that there was nothing better to watch on other channels so I got to see a lot of episodes and I don't know why he just looks there like a scrawny 6'2" guy.
Don't get me wrong I firmly believe that Dave is a full 6'4", but on Knight Rider he just didn't seem that tall to me but rather just tallish and scrawny.
Anyway lucky him, 6'4" is an awesome height and besides that he's rich and handsome, all the ladies love Hasselhoff LOL
And for anonymous guy commenting on Bob Spencer he was a former professional swimminer in his youth, they measured him at 194cm, I can't see him under 193cm in his youth. Funny he used to be such a thin and fit guy in his swimmer days and he just turned freaking fat slob, altho I noticed he still mantained the V-shape physique with huge lats thanks to his professional swimming training back in the days. Swimming does wonders to your body!

David Hasselhoff is definitely 6'4" (193cm), no doubt about that. I've watched many episods of Knightrider, and he's really a giant, towering over everybody in this TV series. When he wears his high heeled boots, he looks even taller, like 6'6". Nightrider was one of my favorite TV series when I was young, back at the end of the 80's.

Glenn is right. A guy I know who's a full 6'4'' bare foot sometimes wears lifts to look 6'6''. He also dons one of those tall Russian fur hats in the colder months to look even taller on top of that ... lol. I've never asked why. Many bouncers who are friggin' tall to begin with also wear lifts. Hasselhoff does look 6'4'' but you never know.
