He appears to be around 5'8.5 to 5'9. In Bad Guys, he looks near 5'9. I think you've guessed right at 5'8.75

He once mentioned on the radio that he was 171 centimeters tall.
that would be interesting to hear!

What do you think of the heights of say, Lee Seung Gi, Song Kang Ho, Lee Byung Hun, etc?
Dom5'11.5 said on 11/Sep/20
@PYoo810 You know what, I mistaken Park woo shik with Park hyung sik. My bad that's why I said he is not 183cm because he is listed that height. Yea park woo shik looks 178cm
Haven't really seen a lot of shows about the rest, kang ha nuel looks 178cmish and Lee jong suk does look 183-185cm range

Gong Yoo could definitely pass as 184 though. Didn't know he'd made that claim earlier.
Choi woo shik, I believe is 179 max, bro. Check out his frame next to Dong Ma Seok and Gong yoo at the Train to Busan premiere. Looks the same, maybe a bit taller than Ma Seok, and Gong Yoo towers them all. 178-179, I honestly believe.
What do you think of others like Lee Jong Suk, Won Bin, Kang Ha Neul, etc?

Gong yoo is 183( he claimed it in his younger days when he was late 20s)
Choi Woo Shik is around 181cm(below 180 seems abit Low since he has proportion of a 180+ guy but not over 182cm)
Kim woo bin is definitely 187cm
Agree Park Seo joon is def not 185cm, around 182cm I Guess he looks much shorter than Lee min Ho who is 186cm

Editor Rob, please consider adding some South Korean actors too. If you do add them someday soon, these are some suggestions and my opinion on their possible heights you could add:
Song Kang Ho (177/178)
Gong Yoo (184)
Won Bin (177/178)
Choi Woo Shik (178/179)
Jun Jae Young (180)
Kim Woo Bin (187/188)
Park Seo Joon (182-184)
Justin Jisung (173)
Lee Jong Suk (183/184)
Please do add them someday. They're pretty famous, and are part of some big movies and shows. Plus, huge controversy surrounding their reported heights because of the penchant that Koreans have for lifts and insoles.

I agree with you he might be weak 5'9 and 5'8 1/2 is the worst it settled next to Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook strikes me a guy holding 5'11 7/8 (182.6cm) because most of the comparison is a strong 1/2 between Gong and Lee sometimes look 2cm also depends on their footwear.

can he 5ft 8.75 possible?
yes, that figure is arguable
PYoo810 said on 5/Aug/20
@Chris Junior, dude he's definitely overlisted. Check him out in the Paris Fashion Week photos. His shoes there, the ankel position and all, he's definitely wearing lifts. And the towering height that Gong Yoo seems to give off as a legit 184cm dude, he just doesn't have. Gong Yoo doesn't wear lifts often either. Lee Dong Wook is circa 182cm, IMO. Which too is a great height to be, but lo, Koreans and their need for lifts. Just check his shoes and ankles out in every dress shoes photo, you can't help but notice how odd it looks XD

Great actor, buff and strong fellow, and I'd guess, 175cm. (With frequent heels, as is with Korean actors)

You might be right. I start to think Lee Dong-wook might be over listed. Maybe Gong Yoo is 6'0 1/2 and Dong-wook 6'0. Also i notice Dong-seok could be a 174-ish guy more looking on his credit film.

I think this listing is accurate. His stocky build can make him look shorter, but he's at minimum this listing, if not taller.
Dom5'11.5 said on 2/Dec/19
I think 5'9 is a good listing for him, always seem to wear thick soles. Gong yoo, his co actor in train to busan i reckon is 6'0 - 6'0.25 183-184

@Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 Gong Yoo said 6'(183cm) in 2000 VJ audition so he could be weak 6' 1/2
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 22/Oct/19
@griana arande Gong Yoo had a strong 1/2 on 6'0 1/2 Lee Dong Wook.

Dong Seok edge out 4" by 6'1 Gong Yoo here Click Here
5'9 is way too accurate.

He looks taller, but only because he stands with a short-sized girl. Dong-sock, I mean Dong-seok, can have a strong 5ft9! 🌽
BTW, where's Gladstone Screwer?
rando182 said on 15/Sep/19
That's one of the reasons girls like to wear high-waisted pants/shorts, which often comes up all the way to their belly button or even higher. Combined with a crop top, it makes their legs look much longer (and torso much shorter) than they really are. Same effect for men in dress pants with a tucked shirt, to a lesser extent.
rando182 said on 15/Sep/19
Probably just the angle and the fact that he's wearing dress pants with the shirt tucked.

could be 5'9.5 in his morning height?
Arguably he could fall into weak 5ft 9 category so may well hit 5ft 9.5 first thing.
cmillz said on 14/Sep/19
Is it just me or are his legs on the longer side? I wonder what his inseam is.

I think he is 5'8.75"

Rob how tall would you guess the actress next to him is?
I doubt she's that much above 5ft 3
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 13/Sep/19
Surprise that Rob nail him at 5'9. He atually claim 5'10 on a K show insisted he is 178cm. 175cm barely is more like i thought the highest maybe 176cm.

I’m alway doubting about his 5’11 listing on google because he looks much shorter than a guy (i forgot his name) in train to busan and that guy list at 6ft
said on 12/Sep/19
he listed his height 5'11 in 6 years ago and then listed 5'10 after train to busan released
I go with him 5ft 8 3/4
5f 10 and 11 seem hard to believe for him...though his strong physique maybe doesn't help him look above 5ft 7-8 in some photos standing alone.
