After having watched How to Steal a Million, I can envision 5’7.5” for Griffith’s peak. He could look taller than Audrey Hepburn, at times. Anywhere in the 5’7”-5’8” zone is arguable, but I do think he would have cleared 5’7”, at least at peak.

I’ll be looking out for Hugh next time I watch Oliver!, which will be soon. It’ll be interesting to see which part he played, though I have an inkling he was the Court judge, who liked a secret tipple behind his desk, thus hidden away from the people attending the Court! 🍷

Rob, not the next Oliver! addition I was expecting (the film’s star, Ron Moody, can’t be far behind), but welcome all the same.
I was honestly thinking about Griffith’s height just today and was thinking around the parametres of 6’1”! Never have I been so far off. I have clearly got some homework to do. Griffiths’ face looked a bit like Tom Selleck’s, maybe that was why I thought he was tall.

Editor RobI'd forgotten Hugh wasn't on the site. Heston had a fair amount of height on him back in Ben-Hur and recently seen the film Bargee, where towards the end he's standing with Ronnie Barker and Harry h. Corbett, seemed about 5ft 7ish.
