Both Bolt and Clark are identical in height at 195cm (6'4.75). Clark would have been a fraction taller than Bolt at his peak though.

Yeah I agree Rob I mean Eric Bana himself is a hair over 6'2. When I saw those pics for the first time as well it did strike me how thin Jeremys shoes are in comparison to Banas. Basicly with those thin shoes that would make Jeremy look 6'4 and the dress shoes Eric is wearing would make him look 6'3.25 that plus Jeremys poorish posture in comparion to Banas would make the difference look only 1 inch.

i think he stll is 6"5 but he sloches a lot and he has taken quit a few nocks especily on top gear. if he sorted he posture out he would be there again. i am just of 6ft 1 and he has atleast 4 inches on me. (i met him to find this out)

Wake up. He interviewed Rugby Legend Lawrence Dallalglio, who is a legit 6'4 inches tall, and he was taller than him.

Watched Top Gear the other night. Clarkson was definately looking 6'4" ish, I couldn't quite see 6'5", even though he is ridiculously taller than Hammond, he does appear to have lost a little. He is still a massive guy and yes he does have the enormous head of a giant.

Clarkson has the face of a giant it has to be said. He has that long face very long jaw and profile you'd expect from a guy who is over 7 foot. He is not under 6'4" looks 6'5" to me, but he could have lost some height over the years perhaps is 193-194 cm now no less.

I think he was a legit 6'5 at peak, but looks to have shrunk down to 6'3.5 now, James May, who looks a solid 6ft to me, doesn't look that much shorter than him in newer episodes. But in older ones, Jeremy towered him.

ive noticed the last couple of years that clarkson does seem shorter than before he may well have been 6'5 when he was younger but id say he was no more than 6'3 now judging by him standing next to various guests he has on top gear!

I saw him present HIGNFY in December and was in the front row of the audience as he walked on. He wasn't as tall as I had expected ...I'd say 6ft4in max and maybe even 6ft3.5in.

Just saw Vietnam trip. Clarkson used to be able to see over May's head with easy, look at old top gear episodes. Clarkson eye line is now at least inch or even two below the top of may's head. The guy has lost two inches. Rob is it not worth posting a picture of clarkson with May now and ten years ago. On a height loss page to prove you can loose more than an inch?

He's 6"4.5/6"5 fully erect, and can look 6"3/6"4 with bad posture - which he always has as he's taller than most other people. I could buy 6"4, but not any lower. The camera angle always favours the guest on Top Gear, ask Rob.

You have to remember the camera is below the stage and pointed upwards which gives the illusion that the guests are closer in height. BTW Rich Hall is no more than 6ft I stood next to him at a bar

I'm 186 which is 6 ft 1 and have met Rich Hall the comedian who also claims 6 ft 1 and we pretty much evenly matched... when Hall was on Top Gear, he looked exactly the same height as Clarkson... Now maybe he had slightly thicker shoes or whatever but certainly not 10 cm extra height...

Last time I watched top gear he said he was six five. Ok there then, in an earlier show he was six four. When I first saw Top gear he said he was six three. I don't really care what height he is but with those cowboy boots he always wears and the fact that he always engineers to be closest to the camera I will give him six three.

I met him at a service station and would say that 6'4" is about right. On Top Gear recently he compared his shoe size directly (shoe to shoe) with someone with enormous feet (UK size 14.5? -- now, who was that?) and the Clarkson shoe was smaller but nowhere near a size 9, as has been suggested above.

I was at the Top Gear Show last year, I'd discribe him as 6ft5", he stood just as tall as my 6'5" dad. And he was surely 4" taller then me (I was about 6'1" at that time)

There was no way that there was 3/4 inches difference between Ross and Clarkson. Clarkson is not 6, 5" although he would love to be. He is 6'5 if his posture is good. But his head is so big and heavy he stoops and has terrible posture. Even with bad posture he is 6'3/6'4 so I could go as high as 6'6 with him. He is really skinny in person too. I met him in my shop last week.

Fry did'nt look taller than Clarkson considering the angles. Camera angles are an absolute ****ing nightmare,the slightest vertical or lateral photographic angle change can cause havoc with visual conception,making an accurate comparison very difficult to access.

In one photo of Clarkson and Jones they are both the same height, good posture and same shoes, so either Jones isnt 6"7 or Clarkson is more than 6"5, which probably puts Clarkson at around 6"5.75 and Jones at 6"6.25.

Big fan of top gear here. Clarkson is 6'5 easy. 6'6 could easily be a true aswell.

I would place this guy as at least 6'4 but not over 6'5. A genuinely tall guy tho. U rarely see sum1 in the studio audience taller than him.

Clarkson does normally look very tall (around 6'5" or so). Only comparison that's made me think he might be shorter than that is with Peter Jones from Dragons' Den, who is cited as 6'7".

I stood in front of him at the Motor Show in Birmingham in 1996. He is between 6'5 and 6'7". My best friend is 6'3" and Mr Clarkson was way taller than him. I'm only 5'8" so it's hard for me to accurately judge someone so much taller than me. He also wears just a size 9 shoe!
