Peak 194cm, today 192cm. He is turning 70 this year after all, so it's not surprising that he has lost almost an inch.

@Christian: I could buy 6'4.5 for him. somewhere in 194-195 zone That's about right looked about 1/2" taller than him and could've been footwear very true

@Canson

I Don't think Larroquette was closer to 6'5" than 6'4". Maybe he had footwear advantage over your dad, because you mentioned you didn't pay attention to his footwear. Even Rampage Clover is saying he was 6'4.5", and Rampage has a reputation for upping celebrities heights often. (no offense to him)

@HollywoodFan: that's odd. I never thought Lou was 6'4" but peak he was 6'3" and 6'2" today. Larroquette peak was prob closer to 6'5" than a flat 6'4" at very worst he was right in the middle at 6'4.5
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 8/Jun/17
6ft4½ peak is likely I think.
HollywoodFan said on 19/May/17
On an episode of Night Court, John had at least 3 inches on bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno.
Canson said on 6/May/17
Needs an upgrade for his peak. He's over 6'4 peak. closer to 6'5. When I met him He looked a pinch taller than my father who at his prime was 193-193.5. And in the 90s still measured that I'd go no less than 194-195 for him. He'd be along the lines of Charles Barkley or Michael Jordan

The 6'7" actor I mentioned in the previous post was Ron Feinberg. Feinberg looked 6'7" next to Michael Conrad. And Richard Moll looked a solid 6'8"+ next to Feinberg in heels.
Canson said on 15/Apr/17
I actually walked right past John Laroquette in the airport once. Probably early to 90s I'd have to guess. I hadn't reached my full height but my father is 6'4" and Laroquette looked a hair taller than him so 6'4.5 is likely for him

Rob, there is an episode of Night Court with a young Dennis Haysbert and Larroquette looked taller. I really think he may have been 6'4.5" prime. I think that is a sweet spot for him. I completely see what you mean next to Richard Moll; he doesn't look a solid 6'5". But I do think he is more than a flat 6'4". Moll wasn't much shorter than 7' something Kevin Peter Hall, and still has at least 3 inches on Jared Padalecki in recent years, so he was definitely a solid 6'8". Richard could have even been a hair over 6'8" at his peak because he looked no shorter than a 6'7" listed bit part actor wearing a dress and big heels for a gag on Night Court. And the fact that Larroquette has said both 6'4" and 6'5" for his own height makes me think he is exactly like Stephen Fry, a 6'4.5"

My Night Court height guesses

Harry Anderson - 6'3.75"
John Larroquette - 6'4.5"
Charles Robinson - 6'3"
Richard Moll - 6'8"-6'8.25"
Markie Post - 5'6"
Marsha Warfield - 5'10.75"

I couldn't hazard a guess on Selma Diamond or Florence Hallop because they looked so much smaller than the rest of the cast.

Again, he claims 6'5" in this interview.

Any chance you could see a 194 cm listing for his peak, Rob?
Editor Rob: against Richard Moll I never thought 6ft 5 was likely, although I could see an argument for a bit over 6ft 4.

Peak: 194cm
Today: 192-193cm

The mystery here is how tall Harry Anderson is, and here he is with John Ratzenberger, measured at 5'9.5. Judging by this, maybe Harry was perhaps in the 6'3.5-75 range?

And another thought that could be worth looking into.... a lot of people, me included, think Larroquette is a fraction over 6'4, but you make the argument that over a four inch difference on Moll. I do wonder if they tried to make Moll look taller than he is on the show, maybe some special footware? Worth looking into

Rob, could you add him?

189cm peak is possible. Today I don't know. He's in his 70's.
Editor Rob: would need to have a look at him some point, he is worth a page.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 26/Sep/16
Similar to Robbins or Corbett in his prime...

He's been given 6ft2 in places.
Editor Rob: been described 6ft 2 and 3, I think has to be at least 6ft 2

194 cm peak, just a hair shorter than 195 cm Tim Robbins IMO
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 23/Apr/16
Rob, have you looked at the clip Danimal posted?

I think he has a valid point. He looks 6ft5+ w/h Michael Richards (at least 6ft3 peak). 194/195cm range looked believable in Night Court, especially if he still looks 6ft4 today.
Editor Rob: with Moll he never looked over 6ft 4.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 25/Jan/16
He looked similar to Edward Hermann (who was a legit 6ft5) in Richie Rich, maybe just a hair shorter.

Rob, maybe 194cm peak?
Editor Rob: I thought he was a good 4 inches smaller than Moll on Night Court.

And I'm pretty sure that Harry Anderson was actually 6'4". He edged out Vincent Schiavelli.
Danimal said on 19/Sep/15
To claim he was only 6'4" is ridiculous. He was taller than LEGIT 6'4" Harry Anderson and here he is next to 6'3" Michael Richards, who he has minimum 2-3". Michael was around 6'3": Click Here

John was minimum 6'5". Even the producer of the show said he was between 6'4" and 6'6".

He looked about the same height as Tony Todd in an episode of Night Court, although he had worse posture. Maybe 6'4.5 to 6'5 peak and 6'4 or just a hair under today.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 9/Jun/15
Still looked close to this on House. Comfortably taller than Hugh Laurie...
Danimal said on 22/Jan/15
6'5" in his prime. Had 1" on 6'4" Harry Anderson on Night Court.

On an SNL episode John hosted, he was a little bit taller than 6'4 Kevin Nealon, so 6'5 sounds right.

6 foot 4.

Also, if James Cromwell was between 6'6" and 6'7", John was easily 6'5", seeing James barely had 1" on him in the 1985 Night Court Episode called "Nuts About Harry". They stood side by side. John actually looked to be at least 6'5".
Danimal said on 8/Jun/12
On the behind the scenes of Night Court, the producer of the show said John was somewhere between 6'4" and 6'6". To me, he was probably just scraping 6'5" when he had great posture. Harry Anderson was also described as 6'4" and John was noticeably taller than him. Harry may have been 6'3.5" and rounded up and John 6'4.5"-6'4 7/8" and rounded down. One thing was obvious that when 6'3" Michael Richards (Kramer) made a guest appearance on the show in late 1984, he stood side by side with John and John had a good 2" on him, if not more. John also had a good inch on then 6'4" Lou Ferrigno in the 1980's. Again, John was a 6'5" man all the way. Harry was 6'4". Mac was 6'3" and Bull (Richard Moll) was 6'8". VERY tall cast.

i tend to think closer to 6'5", since he was taller than Lou Ferrigno, but then again, he may have had a footwear advantage over louie

John was 6'5" in his "Night Court" days, and now in his 60's is not shorter than 6'4", as can be seen recently in his appearance on "Chuck" with the very tall stars of that show.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 29/May/11
6ft3.5 is better

After watching Night Court and Boston Legal, I too Rob agree that 6'4 is too short for him. He was definitely closer to 6'5 at peak. At bare minimum he was 6'4.5. Any lower is just not possible

looks 6'5ish in Stripes. Next to 5'11ish Warren Oates he has at least 5.5 inches on him.

194cm at peak

Todays he's looking marginally under 6"4

He is 6ft 3in tall. I emailed his official web site. Makes me wonder how tall Harry Anderson really is (judge from Night Court) since he is shorter than Begley, and is supposedly 6ft 4in.

That is a fairly decent observation. It certainly makes sense, and now that I have studied them again, it looks pretty accurate. Excellent work on that, man.
Danimal said on 14/Aug/07
Stewy, what I believe is that Laroquette is probably 6'4 3/4" and Harry was 6'3 1/4" and they rounded their heights both to 6'4". John wasn't referring to his characters height buddy. He was referring to his own!
stewy said on 14/Aug/07
John was definitely an inch taller than Harry Anderson, who everyone knows is
6'4". So I would say John is absolutely 6'5". When I watched the reruns I didn't really notice this, until I bought Season 1 on DVD, and watched the episode "Some Like It Hot", where John states, "I'm 6'4", I don't have to flaunt it." My guess for the 6'4" height is maybe his character(Dan Fielding)
was supposed to be 6'4" or he thought he was 6'4".
Viper652 said on 31/May/06
He looked 6-4 in nightcourt.
supes78 said on 28/May/06
I've heard him say on the Conan O' Brien show and the Tonight show that he is 6'5" tall. But then he's stated in an episode of Night Court that he is 6'4" tall. He's an inch taller than self-admitted 6'4" Harry Anderson so I'd say the truth is more likely 6'4.5" for John.
