Nice one!

Textbook strong 6ft2 guy at his peak (6ft3 out of bed, 6ft2-2ΒΌ). Looked very tall in Con Air and Breakdown.

Probably still at least 187cm today
berta said on 13/Mar/22
yeah little over 6Β΄2 peak. could pull of 190 cm in the 90s. im not thinkging he was that tall. but i would bet on closer to 189 than 188 if we turn back the clock to 1985

Andrea does actually have a point

Not sure what the grounds like though....peak certainly M.C. would measure taller than Matthew
Andrea said on 13/Jul/21
This guy is the living proof that Matthew Fox can't be 6'2. Hard to say how much exactly, but he definitely was taller than him on Lost (and that's around the years Rob met him).
That being said, a fraction over 6'2 in his younger years wouldn't surprise me...
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 28/Jun/21
He generally looks like a big guy on screen even now...he's probably still close to 6ft2. A bit over it peak...

I saw MC's name out of the 🌽er of my πŸ‘οΈ and I thought his surname was Grainary. I think I must have cereals on my mind, having watched as my brother devoured two bowls full to the brim with chocolate 🍫 flavour breakfast cereal earlier today. Personally, I prefer the ones that taste of wheat. 🌾 So much healthier, you can taste as they're doing you good! Yum yum yum!

πŸ˜‹πŸ‘ŒπŸŒΎπŸž

Unfamiliar with the series 'Lost', I am the proud owner of a copy of 'Con Air', a film my bloke got me into. So MC is in that, is he? Fantastique, especially as I know where my DVD is next door! πŸ’Ώ

I don't know whether to fill his box in with the nearer average 6ft2.5 or go for Rob's 6ft2...πŸ€”

I know! I'll give MC 6ft2.25, possibly to be revised once I've checked him out in the star-studded movie 'Con Air'.

This guy, Nick Chinlund and Cusack all looked 189cm opposite Nicolas Cage in Con Air
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 18/Oct/20
Most likely has gone from strong to weak 6ft2, but for 72 that's pretty good.

189 peak and 187-188 today

Nearly 180cm guy said on 12/Mar/20
I hope Rob that you looked at the pictures I sent. In the group photo there are also Jerry Bruckheimer and Mykelti Williamson next to Gainey, here are their footwear: Click Here Click Here
They four (Buscemi, Chappelle, Bruckheimer and Williamson) made him a giant, or he made them dwarves. Gainey in the 1990's looked over 6'2". I think Rob, that 6'2.25" as his peak height would be fair. What would you say?
Editor Rob
6ft 2.25 isn't ruled out as peak.
Nearly 180cm guy said on 6/Mar/20
Today Gainey is 72 years old, so it's time for peak height and current height for him. Here is his 1997 photo with Steve Buscemi and Dave Chappelle, he looked like a giant next to them: Click Here
You can only see Steve's footwear, and here you can see Gainey's and Dave's footwear: Click Here Click Here
Although Gainey may have had slightly thicker shoes, he looked very tall, so I still see him over 6'2". Then Gainey was 49 years old and I doubt any loss of height in his case at that time. I believe he was 6'2.25" and currently he is 6'1.75" or 6'1.5". Rob, could you give him that list?
MBR said on 2/Jan/20
Correction: Peak: Flat 6'3
Current: Strong 6'1
MBR said on 2/Jan/20
Haven't really noticed his height, but I do know that he towers over everyone in "Are We There Yet?". I think he's 6'3.
Jordan87 said on 5/Oct/18
He has a 5'9" Eyelevel by the chart. HE is likely around 6'1.25 but that at his age of the picture which was 60 years old.

He likely lost around 1/2" from his prime, so he was likely right around 6'2". Not taller. Take a Look at the picture with Rob and compare him to guys like Brandon Routh and Zach Levi. He is not taller than 6'2. Stop with that Foolishness. He is a big man. No Need to Inflate his size.
Adijos said on 13/Jan/18
Rob, I think it's time to give him the peak height and the current height! In my opinion, its peak height was 189 cm, 6'2.5" or 6'2.25". As for the current height, I will say that it probably fell to 187 cm, 6'1.75" or 6'1.5" is very reliable for him today! In general, I think that there used to be a little over than 6'2". Today, however, it is probably under this one.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 11/Nov/17
He could be dipping slightly below the 6ft2 mark now but easily looked over it in his hey day

Peak: 188.7cm
Today: 187.8cm
berta said on 18/Oct/17
keep in mind that he looked 188 when rob meet him at age 60. this dude who is very owerweight is one guy i believe could have lost atleast 1 cm by 60. 189 peak
berta said on 17/Oct/17
i think peak 189 cm guy and today strong 187 guy
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 15/Oct/15
He towered over Kurt Russell and J. T Walsh.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 8/Sep/15
Rob, do think this guy could have been 189cm back then?
Editor Rob
he could pass for a big 6ft 2 in 80's
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 3/Sep/15
Rob, how tall do you think the late J.T. Walsh was?

He was also in Breakdown. Appeared in Good Morning Vietnam, A Few Good Men, Backdraft and Tequila Sunrise. Most places have him at 6ft1 but don't believe he was only 1in under this guy.
Editor Rob
that seems too much, anywhere from 5ft 11 to 6ft is more likely than 6ft 1!!
He is deserving of a page.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 5/Feb/15
"Peak height was 6ft 2Β½in (189cm)"

Looked big in Breakdown beside Kurt Russell
Zach said on 30/Dec/14

6'1.5 IMO. I don't see a full 6'2

Oh COME ON??? Your eye is able to detect him being .5" off?? Oh please.
Sam said on 30/Dec/08
Yeah, I'd buy a weak 6'2" here. It's possible his peak height was 6'2.5", since that seems to be his "official" height.

"6'2-6'2.5 How do some of you only see 5 inches, LOL, he's getting only 1/4 of an inch advantage in the shoes, as Rob said".

Rob is around M.C.'s eye level or a bit below, which is usually around 4.5-5 inches.

6'2 looks about right... although I would have thought taller before seeing the pic. Good character actore, but geez, I saw way too much of this guy in the movies "Sideways"... They need to put up warnings before showing scenes of male frontal nudity so we know when to close our eyes, lmao!
adam said on 27/Dec/08
Rob is well-below his eyelevel. That makes at least six inches.
SoccerFan said on 27/Dec/08
Will Smith's 6'1.75 only with high heels
dave said on 27/Dec/08
sorry, those who say hes 6'1.... WRONG.....

his nose is clearly over robs face if he were to tilt back a little.... and hes near 60..... a perfect example of a LEGIT and steady 6'2 man. id say he could have been nearrrrly 6'2.5 peak judging by this pic.
the shredder said on 27/Dec/08
Rob , this guy being legit 6'2 , does that put Will Smith 6'1.75-ish ?

Editor Rob
he's not much shorter, and Gainey could have even lost a 1/3rd inch since he's near 60.
leonari said on 26/Dec/08
This is how tall a legit 6'2 man looks next to a legit 5'8 guy. That is when somebody towers over someone else. Not stupid claims like: "I am 5'11" and towered over this 5'8" guy.People are ridiculous...Get a grip on life folks 3 inches is not enough to tower anybody. No, not your girlfriend either.
