I've been hanging around Rickey quite a bit lately. I will say he can at times up close give the illousion of being over 6-1. He could be a strong 6-1, I don't rule it out.

6'2 literally equals to 187.96cm. Irvin could mean he measure 188-188.2cm but he will came down a flat 6'2. If not wrong stadiometer give 2.5mm more height than measuring tape.

Canson, looking through newspapers Irvin was listed at 6'1 on the Miami Hurricane roster.
It could be like Marcus Allen who is listed at 6'1 a lot and was measured at 6'1 3/4 and 6'1 7/8 which really surprised me.

I'm from norther Virginia Couldn't tell tho because I was a kid but he looked a little shorter than my father who's 6'4" so I'd say he's prob 6'3 solid. Dawson not sure about tho. He's listed 6'3" but could be over by a hair. I've met Terrell Suggs before and he looked a strong 6'3. I know his pre draft was 6'3 3/8 I think. He surely didn't look less than maybe 6'3.25.i only had him by maybe 2-2.5cm

Look up 6ft2 Jerry Rice with Michael Irvin on google images and the couple of photos of them standing next to each other Michael Irvin appears slightly taller I think 6ft2.3 inches or just under 189cm if I had to guess unless Jerry Rice has shrunk a little

But Irvin in person is 6'2" like listed. I had a footwear advantage on him when I met him having on Timbs and had roughly 3" on him so that's putting me around 197-197.5 in boots probably. 3" could also be 2.5-3" as well. I measure 193.9 evening now but used to be 194.1-.2 and I met Irvin in the 2000s so easily still measured it then. But assuming 197 range in shoes that's putting me if Assuming if I too had casual shoes closer to 6'5" barefoot which would give me almost 3" in height over him making him around 6'2". Aza I think it was just a joke. Or more of a play onto his never quit spirit. The idea that he WOULD hope to keep growing even though it's physically impossible at his age (or any age past your mid 20s) is where the humour lies.

Which I can totally see Irvin @ 6'2.25" & Crews @ 6'2"...Irvin was actually listed @ 6'3" in college @ Miami several times. Then proven to be 6'2" or just a shade over in the NFL. Crews was always listed @ 6'2" & anywhere from 235-248 lbs while in the NFL. IMO...Irvin 6'2.25" & Crews 6'2" ...

When the combine does measurements, if an athlete measures say... 6'1.4" or below, they'll get listed at 6'1". If they're measured at 6'1.5" or more, they'll round up and get listed at 6'2". They round to the nearest half inch, if you get my drift.

He could've been wearing some thin shoes when he took the measurement for Twitter. That would put him at a bit over 6'2". Or he could've even been wearing athletic shoes if that draft measurement was from the morning and/or he's shrunk a bit.
