About jbl it should be clear by now taker has over 2 inches on him standing straight...jbl he is no 6'6 IMO but 6'5 minimum possible 6'5 1/2 maximum peak.
Khali has no way 6 inches on taker, taker has stood straight with him...and taker wasn´t anymore at peak height, about shaq I´ve read 7'1 but if you´ve seen those figures you mention I trust you.
Vegas met heidenreich and estimated him at 6'6, he did take a picture with him and I remember heidenreich looked really tall, he looked 6'6 for sure next to lod animal.
And last, charles wright, I´ve been watching some attitude era videos (between 98-99) and he´s clearly at least 1 inch taller than the rock, who I think is one of the hardest people to pin down height, he was taller than near 6'3 vader in smaller footware, he´s one I would not bet on his height, but he can´t be less than 6'3 IMO unless he has lost height already.

No Red it doesn´t, in my honest opinion it just downgrades a whole lot of men including measured athletes like 6'8 akebono, 7´1 shaq, 6'6 gary godsey, 6'7 1/2 oliver miller, 6'5 ben roethlisberger, I think you know with who these men have stood with.
Also in wrestling you have 6'6 tenta (next in line for a downgrade from what I´ve been reading from some posters...)who barely edged hogan when sid had nearly 2 inches or even the full 2 inches on him and taker is taller ( yeah despite some tip toes ;)), peak nash also is no way under 6'9 1/2 like we saw with oliver miller and gary godsey for example and also with many others he looked it or even a bit taller, but people pic just him with mane to lower his height...
About kane I´ve posted so many times, but again even recently in bigger footware (not as big as when he debuted as kane of course) he was not taller than taker, and obviously taker is not at his peak height.

As I have mentioned before I don´t go with the lowest possible heights, I agree that are moments where they can seem shorter but my estimates are based on know heights (for good reference) and good posture "moments".
Either way I noticed you´ve lowered your estimates on taker sid and nash, well, with them all wrestlers we can compare with them will also come down ;)

Undertaker was billed 6'9 in indies, NWA and WCW. When he was playing the "texas red" character he was 19 years old. Undertaker was always slightly shorter than Kane even if Kane wore lifts.

Red, sadly there isn´t any good (that I could find) comparison between "shango" or whatever name and taker, even in street clothes at wembley stadium shango is standing in his tiptoes...in his staredowns with taker he is almost falling to the front...but 6'4 range for shango could be right but honestly he´s a hard one to tell.
Whatch again the match between jbl and sid, sid has a couple of inches on him, sid today IMO is around 6'6 but peak was 6'7 range.
If anybody has the footware advantge in the pic of jbl and taker it is jbl with his regulary used cowboy boots, and taker has no way any posture advantage there, the others pics you have jbl besides wearing comboy boots closer to the camera, odd angles etc.

To JT: Sadly i know very little about NFL Football, but on your point, i've read Big Van Vader was a Nose Tackler in his NFL days. Offcourse he was overbilled at 6'5" but i reackon he;s alot closer to 6' than 6'5..

I wonder if there's any pics of Taker and the Klitschko brothers? I know he (Taker) is a huge boxing fan..Think that would be a good reference point. Also on another note, it seems Mark Henry is wearing some serious lifts these days as he appeared notably taller than John Cena on recent shows. Just looking at his boots it looks kinda awkward

Nose tackles are usually shorter than other defensive linemen. I've never met Langston but I can’t imagine someone as short as 5’8” or even 5'9" playing nose tackle at a NCAA Division 1 school.

Having pretty much the same amount of height over guys like ramon, tugboat, shango, nailz, crush, kamala, and others. All of these guys are between 6'3'' and 6'5'' with billings up to 6'8''. Look at pics with spivey and sid and even issac yankem aka kane. now sid, spivey, and kane all have had similar billings to taker. ive heard 6'8'' for taker early in his career as well as for sid and spivey. although sid was also billed mostly at 6'9''. kane was mosty at 6'9''. taker was usually 6'8'' but when he became undertaker it was always between 6'8'' and 6'11''. My estimations are sid taker and kane are all between 6'6'' and 6'8'' with kane probably being the tallest. Also look at tyler mane who claims 6'8'' and when he teamed with vinny vegas aka kevin nash. they looked pretty identical to me. if nash is 6'8'', taker has to be about 6'6 1/4'' 6'6 1/2''. if nash is 6'9, taker is around 6'7 1/4'' 6'7 1/2''. look at him with albert from 2001. they were almost identical. so somethings up. monster lifts can easily break someones ankle or even worse in this profession.

I also recently saw Kane from about the same distance (around 12 feet or so) at the RAW taping in Austin (it was taped on Tuesday December 17th because of the holiday schedule), and he looked an inch to two inches taller than Taker did. I was by the entrance ramp 4 seats in and in the 6th row of the ringside. It was actually the back row in that section and some wrestlers passed right by me when they exited. Big E. Langston was neck enough to shake hands with us when he left. Others stayed in character and acted mad when they left. Langston is no taller than 5'9" and might have been as low as 5'8". It one of the reasons he looks so wide (beside the fact that he's huge).

No one... as much as I'm not trying to be rude, don't most computers show a red underline when a word is spelled wrong these days? If you use Chrome, it will. Plus if you are old enough to have a license you REALLY should know how to spell.

I realy am a fanaty about this thing, I see thousands of videos and photos. But this is all imposible, noone can be sure about the height exactly.

Sounds good, Tuga. I really enjoy meeting these guys so it's not a burden for me when I get the opportunity to do so. Kinda makes me wish I had gone into wrestling when I was younger instead of the military. Of course there are more stories of guys who live in poverty chasing that dream than there are big names, so in reality I probably made the right decision.

In theory if the person taking the picture is standing on the same slope but further down the slope would be nullified in the picture, as long as the slope was at a continuous grade. If the person taking the photo was standing on level ground and only the people in the picture were on the slope then it would definitely make a difference.

I dont think he would be able to do his brilliant in ring style so effectively with them as you just have less control. No bigman wrtestler comes close to Takers in ring abillity. That said, he may have been asked to wear lifts to tower JBL in the interview that night. I think theres alot more fotos out there of them beieng 1-2 inches appart in height than what that 3-4 inch diferent pic suggest.

You are wrong. Listen to stone cold steve austin's podcast where here interviewed Kevin Nash, and Nash states that he was listed as 6'11.25 in college. And if JBL is 6'5.5" which he is according to official NFL records, then Undertaker is in fact around 6'9".

First of all, Kevin Nash was listed at 6'11.5 when he played college basketball. Take away 1.25" for footwear (basketball sneakers have 1.25" heel) and you have 6'10.25. When he faced the undertaker he looked an inch taller so that puts Undertaker at 6'9.25 or 6'9".

I'm pretty sure I've heard or read of him being billed as 6'3" after having been billed as 6'6" during the APA gimmick, so he's 6'3" at the most.

There are too many variables that affect how we perceive someone's height - stance, posture, picture angle, shoes, levelness of the ground, etc. Unless we actually can measure these guys, we'll be debating forever, but I guess that's what makes this site interesting. To your point, Taker did measure up well to Nathan Jones.

There are too many variables that affect how we perceive someone's height - stance, posture, picture angle, shoes, levelness of the ground, etc. Unless we actually can measure these guys, we'll be debating forever, but I guess that's what makes this site interesting. To your point, Taker did measure up well to Nathan Jones.

To say Taker wore the grey/purple leggings of his Western Mortician Undertaker (my favourite version by the way) is realy naive. It was plain part of his garb. I mean did he not try to to hide the lifters after '96 when he changed his ring dress? Nice find NCL you done it agen!!

Thanks James, the pick with Roethlisberger does provide fresh insight..But he looks almost too tall suggesting footwear etc. But i can buy 6'7" for Kane and Taker whom i peg at the same bare-foot height :-)

Also Josey, Kane and the Undertaker are pretty close in height, if not the same height. The problem with wrestler is that some of them wear thicker-soled wrestling boots and/or lifts in their boots. We know that Kane did for sure, and I'm willing to bet that Sid wore lifts in his boots and is probably no more than 6'5"-6'6".

Josey, there is a picture that has been floating around here for awhile of Kane with Ben Roethlisberger, who is legitimately 6'5" and looks to be at least 2-3 inches shorter than Kane in that picture. Kane is certainly 6'7" and probably closer to Rob's 6'7.5" listing.

I for one, as a fan, realy would like to proved wrong on my hight estimtions. Thus far i aint seeng much prove to support 6'8". I dont think alot of people appreciate how tall 6'6" is. Easy to take that along with a large frame and see near seven foot. i honestly cant see a two inch difference in height between the vince vaughn/Kane pic. If you read vince's listing you realise that his height is also debated with some folks giving 6'4". I for one cant see him under 6'5". I d love a better pic of Sid/taker/kane with a 6'5" man though.

I met him in 94 and I'd say 6'8-ish, I've posted the pic on here before. It was after the matches at a hotel, he was very much in character but was also very cool to all the fans as long as you were polite to him. All the wrestlers back then wore cowboy boots with heels.
Maybe lost an inch or more since then.

I agree Kane is probably 6'7 flat, without is monster boots legit 6'7.5-6'8 range Undertaker edges him out, but saying he is 6ft6 max based on one pic is nonsense, especially when the pic is pretty awful for height comparison.

You know, i have to say it gets tiring when people call other folks idiots and such when you post your height estimations. Everybody are entitled to their opinion. Last time around i lowered my height estimations of Taker/Kane and a list of wrestlers quite a bi from my earlier estimates. I beleive on going on eveidence supplied. You only have to look at the pic of 6'5" Verne Vaughn next to Kane to see theyre pretty well matched for height. Ali Babba who claims 6'6" for himselfs looks within an inch of Tyler Mane on the pics he supplied. Now to those kind people who call some estimates laughable, please supply pictures of your own to substantiate your dismissals. Kane and Taker are big men, larger in frame than typical men of same height. But i dont think over 6'6" is plausible. Also remeber that most folk on here are well meaning and post in the name of fun. Dont always see the worst in somebody's intentions.

Taker was never 6ft 10 I met Taker back in 93 and I asked him how tall he was and he said 6ft 9 and believe me he looked it but after looking @ the picture we took I don't believe he was that tall 6ft 7 to 6ft 8 is more believable

Unless i see pics of legit measured person and Taker/Kane/Nash together proving they have a clear height advantage/dissadvantage i cant call it else. I am in no way trolling or trying to discredit these guys. Not that you implied that though. Cheers friend :-)

I would say closer to 6'10 when he was at his peak, maybe 6'8 1/2 barefoot and in boots 6'9 1/2 to 6'10. These days with age and injuries I would say 6'7 3/4 barefoot and around 6'9 in boots. He never looked shorter from his billed height.

Dan Spivey is brought up a lot here in regards to Undertaker's height b/c he's around 6'6" and in some photos looks the same height as Undertaker. Pause here at 8:49 Click Here he has a good footwear advantage over 'Taker.

I don't know what live show he's referring to. As far as I know Undertaker disappeared from WWE appearances after Wrestlemania in 2012 and didn't pop up again until he was in Waco on February 23, 2013 (which is where I saw him).

Was actuallyu funny watching him work with CM Punk this WM. You could see how much larger a man he is and how easily he "manhandled" Punk. Credit to Punk for his work though.

No fancy camera angles here IMO. Now at first glance it doesn't look like Undertaker is much taller. But he's practically bald in the pic and we can see the top of his head.
I think if someone would draw a line, HHH would come up to about the very tip top or just below the tip top of Undertaker's ear. You can see how long Undertaker's forehead is and how big the back of his head juts up which has to be taken to account.
I say there's around a 4"-5" difference and if 'Taker stood fully straight, his head is bent down a bit in the pic, I'd put it at a 5"-6" difference

Nash being 6'7.5 is crap. He was 6'10 in 95/96. That puts Taker at 6'9 if it was an inch and 6'8 if it were a two inch difference.

My friend was filming last year with Nathan Jones in Namibia. Sadly i missed out on the job. He did show me a pic today of him next to a slouching Nathan where he teach him to hold and fire a gun. My friend is mebe 5'9" and he was under Jones's chin. He swears Jones is nigh on sevn foot but i told him i doubt his more 6'9". He just said mate you havent met this guy... Luckily for all he was a meek gentleman. I know it doesnt proof anything but im not buying the 6'5" Taker stuff. I hope to be able to download the pic.

He looked about the same height Hulk Hogan did compared to HHH in 2001/2002 or whenever it was and HHH would've shrunk since then so I'm thinking Undertaker cant possibly be 6'7.5 anymore. He must be a little over 6'4. Maybe about 6'4.65 or so.

IMO Taker is and always has been 6'7 range, it's not impossible he's lost a little height, but he still looks just as tall as he ever did next to the same guys he stood next to in the 90's.

I can't figure out if the height degraders here are just having fun or really believe all what they're saying. Look, everyone's entitled to their opinion. And wrestling does exaggerate heights. But it doesn't appear to me that every case is the same as Andre the Giant's where heights are exaggerated 4-5", that was a rare case. Generally, I'd say there's a 1"-3" exaggeration depending on the wrestler.
If you guys are so insistent otherwise, posts some photos to prove it.
By the way, to the wrestling fans on this site - I live in Jersey and will be going to Wrestlemania this Sunday! i met taker numerous times over the past 10 years (last time was november 2009 day before the live raw show in msg where he tagged with cena against dx and jericho/big show) and every time he was wearing sneakers and looked taller than 6'5, the numerous doors in my house are 6'6 so i know what that height looks like

The old WSM guys were exaggerated too. I don't know about the current competitors, but Svend Karlsen he did not even look 6ft tall when I saw him at the Arnold Classic back in 2002. Massive, for sure, but not any 6'2". Based on that Magnus Samuelsson might be exaggerated and so to would have been Nathan Jones, and he might easily only be 6'6" or 6'7".
