To be fair to Jordan87, AAAA, I see where he's coming from because Tom actually doesn't look over 6'2 with Rob, and having seen other comments of his, he seems to base many of his estimates only on how celebrities look with Rob at the moment of the photo. Personally, I have a different approach and I think that Rob's photos give nothing more than a rough idea of how tall the celebrities he meets can be. In fact, what celebrities generally look and how tall Rob estimates them to be in person matter much more than Rob's pics with them, to me.
Speaking of Tom, I agree that 6'2.5 is overall the best guess. A chance of 6'2.25, but 6'2 flat? I doubt it.

Man, what is it with this guy?!?? Tom Welling and Pierce Brosnan are how I found this site back in 05. The fact that Rob actually got a picture with him only seems to have reinstigateged debate, not quelled it. I think 6’2.5 is the best guess. I used to say 6’2.75-6’3.25. I still think it is because he has a small head for his height. He’s def tall, but his proportions make him look even bigger without something else to scale against. Even in the pics with Routh, Routh has a big heaf and he has a smaller one with a short chin. He’s also the naturally largest of the 2. Crazy this debate is still happening.

Listing seems fine, although he looks more about 188cm in the pic.189 is the best guess ofcourse since he's a tall guy and 6.5 inches from bottom of nose to top of head is more common for that range.

Editor RobAll listings are still estimates. I think if he was measured I'd estimate with greater confidence he might measure nearer 6ft 2.5 than say 6ft 2 flat or 6ft 3.

@Dream - Kirk is very friendly and approachable. There's certain celebrities who fake friendliness, and you can pretty much tell that they're faking it, but Kirk is a naturally nice guy. Like I said before, Runyon or the Comedy Store is a great place to meet him. John Lithgow gets the top prize of all the people I've met in terms of genuinely a decent guy, but Kirk is up there.

I actually meet these people and when I do, I always mention WHERE I met them. I saw Tom Welling here shooting smallville here in Vancouver, I was up close to him and I'm 5'10 he didn't look that tall to me, my guess he's 6'2, also saw Rousenbuam he didn't look much over 5'11 so a inch on me

He really does look slightly taller than Routh.
Routh’s super thick hair makes it look like their the same, but Welling looks taller. Plus, a cap doesn’t add much.

While shrinking by early 40s is possible, I'd guess the overwhelming majority don't shrink by any appreciable amount at this age. Maybe someone who is a trucker, smoker, overweight, into heavy weightlifting, and genetic predisposition to it will ship a cm or 2. But probably not Tom Welling.

He generally gets listed at 5'8 but, as you say at the top of this page, he probably isn't much over 5'7. To be honest, he can look no more than 5-6 inches shorter than Tom in some scenes but I guess that they used apple boxes for him at times.

He generally gets listed at 5'8 but, as you say at the top of this page, he probably isn't much over 5'7. To be honest, he can look no more than 5-6 inches shorter than Tom in some scenes but I guess that they used apple boxes for him at times.

When I lived in Vancouver about 10 years ago I saw Welling outside jogging a few times. I don't know if he lived nearby or if he simply liked the area because it had trails for running. One time when I was getting ready to go running I saw a tall guy with a dark beard walk up next to me and start stretching. I just rewatched early seasons and since celebheights increased my interest in well celeb heights i looked closely.
He actaully looks taller then John in most scenes, even by an inch in some scenes. He looks 1-2 inches taller then the guy who plays whitney in most scenes.

Editor Rob on a good day in his early 20's he may well have been near that, but of course we are guessing. One man might shrink 3/4 inch, another 1.25 inch. The taller you are though, the potential is there for a bit more shrinkage, with a longer spine.
