For anyobody on this page to suggest that Stiller might be 5'8" or anything close to it is absurd. Ben Stiller is a short guy! I would not be surprised at all if Stiller is below 5'6". No way is he above 5'6" barefoot. 5'8" is within the "average" range of height. How can anybody actually watch a Ben Stiller movie annd come away thinking he is of average or close to average height? As Rising Force has stated, Tom Cruise appears to have a good 1.5" on Stiller. Even if you want to believe that Cruise is 5'8" ( personally, I don't believe Cruise is one bit over 5'7")than the maximum Stiller could possibly be is 5'6.5"

Just saw him in Museum 2. I love the work he does, and the ability he has at having fun at himself. There's a scene where there is constant fun been made at his being not only short, in terms of "honest Abe" the gigantic animated statute that picks him up, but also in terms of being small even for a normal human male. He's cool with humour, cool with his size.. hey... he's just cool.

5'6" sounds right on. He is legitimately short. I don't even know if I buy 5'6.5" for him. He may even be just under 5'6". His dad is probably about 5'3". I know leading actors are short but it's pretty amazing that he's had so many major roles in films at his diminutive height.

Just google pictures of the two of them side by side and you can see that she is a little taller then him in most of the images. I'd say Stiller is right around my height. Slightly over 5'6" in the evening. I don't see him ever going lower then 5'6" but I also don't see him being any higher then 5'7" even if it is first thing in the morning. Rob has it pretty much spot on.

Just watched Tropic Thunder and Stiller looked a solid 5'6 guy to me even next to Downey,Jr. and Black,who aren't much taller than him. Nah! Its kinda cheesy....Unless, Zoolander himself would ask me to =) I think the reason why he seem short yet taller is that he has bigger head (kinda long forehead)..and yes, he "might" be wearing special shoes that makes him taller. But this guy is cool and cute =)

I always hear that he is soo much shorter than people expect him to be. Rob has him probably spot on. He had him 170 cm 1 year ago and that was without a doubt a bit to much. Never is he below 5'6" but he ain't no 171 likeyou anonymous say either. There is big possibility that toms footwear gives him more height than stillers. in the whole video you cant see their footwear when they are next to eachother, only once unclearly towards the end of the video and they see like very flat shoes. tom cruises not once. stiller is 5'5.5.

There is a video of Black, Stiller and Downey jr dancing to Gladys Knight or something on youtube, they are perfectly lined up, side by side in identical costumes.......Black only looks bout an inch to two inches shorter than Downey Jr who is listed and recognised as about 5'8". I am about 5'7.80 in the morning and then I can drop to as low as 5'7.25 depending on how bad my posture is. There are plates in your spine that replenish at night.

I think we can trust dmeyer, since he is not a celeb and is more likely to be honest with his height than the 5'7 that stiller claimed in the quote above. Looks to me like dmeyer has an easy 5 inches on stiller, with six inches being very possible, so that puts Stiller in the 5'5"/5'6" range. However, he looks close in height to glenn who we know is in the 5'7.5"/5'8" range. Perhaps he was getting some help with his footwear in the pic with glenn. Editor Rob to be fair with glenn, glenn does have a little lean, with meyer he does look no more 169cm giving him lesser trainers+poorer posture, which he has a fair bit. He might have had 1/2 inch lift in night at the museum, they put raver in bunny shoes for one scene.

Yes of course he was taller than Hoffman...but barely...He was wearing sneakers throughout the movie...Hoffman most of the time barefoot or sandals...and I firmly believe Hoffman is not a tad over 5.5" these days which makes Stiller a solid 5'6" -5'6.5 but not above that mark...Almost 5'8" is out of the question!

hey rob i am the the celebheight reader who said he was 5'7" max but since i saw the pic i have with him again he is just under my eyes probably 11 cm diference 170 171 is possible but not 5'8" because then the differance wouldnt be that big

What is REALLY curious is in Meet the Fockers, Hoffman appeared in some shots to be as tall or even TALLER(???) than Stiller. The clincher is that Hoffman was in 1.5in(at the most) sandals and Stiller was in dress shoes...very wierd

The closing portion of Dodgeball has Ben Stiller standing on that podium right next to William Shatner. Shatner is at least a 1/2 taller and thats taking into account Ben's funky hair for that movie. Celebheights has Shatner at 5'7 1/2" tall. I think Stiller is scraping the 5'7" height level if not just under it a tad.

Parker - I'm with you. Everything I've ever seen has me put Stiller in the 5'6" to 5'7" range. Even many of Stick's pictures. Sticks - why are you making it your life's work to try to convince everyone that Ben Stiller is as short as you want him to be? Since I believe Rock is probably 5'9" to 5'10", your picture proves to me that Sandler is in the 5'6" to 5'7" range. People's definition of diminutive can vary. Some may use the word to refer to short, others to refer to slight of build. Others who might just have expected Rock to be taller, might have referred to him as diminutive because he jut wasn't as tall as they thought he would be. One person's definition of diminutive doesn't make it another's. I have people tell me I'm short and others who tell me I'm not. Same word, "short", but two different standards. You made a point below about thinking someone is shorter than you and then realizing they are taller. You say that can't happen (the example about the boots). Of course, it can happen. I had a friend in college who was 5'9" who thought I was taller than him. I'm 5'6"! Yet, the guy actually thought I was taller than he was. People's perception of heights suck!
