About 6 foot. Ykozuna was 6 foot 0.5 inches tall and bret seemed a teeny bit smaller than yokozuna. Bret looked taller - but bret had 1 inch lifts on his boots - so bret was 6 feet tall.

I met Bret at a book signing in 2009 (I think, may have been 2008). He was sat down so the pics I have are useless, but I was one of the last people in line and when he stood up to leave I was surprised at how tall he actually was.
I have a friend who is a legit 5'11" (180cm) guy, and Bret looked taller to me than my friend, so I can't see Bret much (if anything) under 6'0" even today at 50+ years old.

Have to question Bret's height he was 6 foot for sure there was no question about that, but after watching Raw this week where Bret teamed with John Cena who is legit 6'1 I say Bret is no taller then 5'11 these days, he has droped allot of weight and size over the last few years and is looking a little shorter.

Rob met and took a picture with him and estimates his height at 6', the picture confirms it, if bret stood straight he would have Rob by an easy 4 inches.
This is an easy one and a good mesuring stick for many other wrestlers.

A man in their fifties who is under 6'5 will NOT lose anything more than a 1/4 which is there if he straightens properly. The only time people lose an inch plus is from surgery or some freak strain on their backs/spine. This losing height is bs until men are in their mid 70s. I have pics of my dad and he is same height difference with my grandfather back then and now.

He never seemed that short at all, i thought he looked nearly 6ft..i got 2 photos with him and he his posture was really bad, he had his arm around my shoulder on one side and my friend who was 5'8 on the other side, he was definetly taller then my 5'8 friend.. I got the chance to meet Bret at a book signing yesterday. He was LOVELY, but I didn't get the chance to guess his height since he was sat down the whole time.

Piper was over 6'0" in the 1980's. The man underwent MAJOR back surgery and an entire hip replacement in the 1990's. He lost some serious height, as did Hogan and Superstar Billy Graham. IMO those men lost the most height for their age.

I had a beer with Bret in downtown Calgary. This was exactly 7 years ago. I was visiting an ex-girlfriend of mine at the time who lived in Calgary. Bret was a nice guy. I stood up after our beer and shook his hand. He didn't feel taller than me. He was around 5'11". Owen was 5'8"-5'9". Bulldog I met in 1995 in Montreal, when I was in grade 11. He was about an inch shorter than me. So, MAX 5'9" for him. I met Jake The Snake Roberts with my step dad the summer of 1990. Jake was in town for a match at the old Montreal Forum. My step father and I met him backstage and he signed an autograph for me telling me to believe in myself. My step dad WAS exactly 6'1 3/4" at that time (he was only 38 then) and Jake was between 6'4"-6'5" easily. My step dad later told me that he felt short next to Jake. I also met Iron Sheik when I was in grade 7 or 8. He came to my school in Montreal. I couldn't gauge his height, because I had yet to go through my growth spurt. I was only around 5'0" at that time.

Think about it this way , the top of the picture is around 6 feet foot these two were barefoot, now imagine him standing totally straight. he would be over that by half inch. He would hit this head on the top of the picture.

You got this one wrong Rob. Bre was billed at 5'11" throughout the 1970's and 1980's and only got his 6'1" billing when he started making a name for himself. Met the man in Calgary almost 7 years ago and had MAX 1" on me. We spoke for a long time. 5'10.5"-5'11" MAX.

Good photo Rob, I met him in Ireland in October. American Rampage Wrestling promo. He was sitting down in my photo but as I said I did stand beside him and I think 6ft is just right.

Red, I am somewhat Obsessed With Heights so I am extremely accurate hence messaging myself at 181.5cm - I have a picture with him when he was sitting down signing autographs but non standing up as I only got to talk to him for about ten seconds as he was getting dragged away by security. Brets posture was fine as he stretched his back and stood up straight. He is definitely 6ft tall.

Here's the video, between 1mn13 & 1mn22. 6'0 sounds good, especially he has a good posture or during his prime. I met RVD in 06, looked 1 or 2 cm smaller maybe.

benoit wasn't 5'10 unless he packed on lifts which i'm sure he did...flair's peak was 5'11.5-6'0...by the time it was the mid 90s he was well into his forties...most likely he was 5'11 then

I think his height usually confuses my like back in the WWF Bret Hart must of been 6'0" but maybe in 1997 he was billed at 6'1" then when he went on WCW he was taller than Ric Flair on the 1st episode of Thunder. And close to his retirement he was billed at 6'0".

At about the 5:07 minute mark you'll see Stone Cold and Bret go faces to face and they are about the same height you could make a case that Bret is actually a little taller than him there. I believe this was before Austin had his neck problems or knee surgeries so he was at his peak height. Judging by this I dont see how Bret Hart was lower than 6ft maybe 5'11.5 at the least at this time.
