I found a picture of 5'1" Angela Kinsey with Chris and it looks like Robs guess is pretty close. 5'9". Click Here

Colfer (with footwear advantage) and 5'7" Ellen DeGeneres Click Here

He is as listed. Definitely not over 5'9".

I think he's a bit taller because he had 3 inches on 5'3" Amber Riley who was in big platforms (they would give 5in I think) at the premiere of Struck by Lightning. Maybe he's 5'9.75 and just rounded up to 5'10

Colfer with 5'10" Peter Facinelli: Click Here
It's pretty obvious Facinelli is slouching a bit here. Colfer is definitely not above 5'9".

Alright, I agree with Roberto. The pictures from the Glee shooting yesterday suggest he is way under 5'10 (either that or Mike O'Malley is taller than listed).

I know they're walking and he might be slouching, but it's still obvious he would be shorter than O'Malley if they were standing straight.

If O'Malley really is 5'10, then Colfer has to be 5'8.5 or 5'9 at max. Definitely not 5'10 (and 5'11 is ridiculous).

5'9 and that's pretty generous.

5'10 or 5'11 isn't tall, it's average. He seems to have lost weight lately, so he looks taller. If an actor claims 5'10-5'11, then 5'9-5'10 range is a safe bet. On Glee, he had a scene with Jane Lynch (listed as 6'0) earlier this year and he seemed visibly shorter than her (but then again, you never know with the camera angles, etc). 5'9-5'10 for him, perfectly average.

Yesterday, cc said in an interview that in real life people are always surprised how tall he actually is. According to him, he is 5-10, 5-11 on good days. I actually think that he is right, because he definitely looks tall.

I don't think he needs an update. A strong 5'9 is the tallest I'd give him. He never looks over 5'9 with 5'10 Mike O'Malley and I know he was a late bloomer, but he is most definitely done growing. As of 2012, he still looks a little over an inch taller than Darren Criss (whom I doubt is a full 5'8). You could update him to 5'9.5, but that's nitpicking.
Emma said on 12/Aug/12
His height definitely needs updating, Ryan. He's no way just 175cm. Have you actually seen him? He looks tall and he's not that skinny, so there's no illusion of tallness. You know someone is 5 ft 9 when he looks stocky. Chris Colfer is not.
Drew said on 14/Jun/12
Looks around my height in that pic. 5'i8.25-.75 is my guess.
Sean said on 22/Sep/11
Darren Criss is 5'5'' or 5'6'', or at least that's what this pic with Kristen Wiig seems to show (Click Here). So measuring Chris Colfer's height by comparing him to Darren Criss isn't going to get you very far if you're accepting that Criss is 5'8.

What the heck?!?! I stopped growing at 13! Haha.
pl said on 7/Aug/11
@Gracien shorter than that i think!! mike's bald, whereas Chris has got an inch or so from his hair i reckon probably 5'7 max unless Mike is wearing lifts and Chris isn't. But he's definitely not 5'9 let alone 5'10!
Gracien said on 20/Jul/11
Looks more 5'8"-5.8.5" to me. 5'10" is nonsense.

Here's Colfer and 5'10" Mike O'Malley.

On Conan's show, Chris said he grew about 4 (yes four, for those who need a little more clarification)inches. If he was 5'6'' to 5'7''-ish, add 4 inches to that and you'd get around 5'10'' to 5'11''. I think he's grown, if you compare his height to Matthew Morrison's in Season 1, he's noticeably shorter. In Season 2 (specifically when Mr. Shue visits Kurt at Dalton about getting Sue a Christmas present and they hug and say hi) he's practically the same height! People DO grow, just because you're not sixteen with peach fuzz doesn't mean you can't continue to get taller or whatnot. Besides, I think he was kinda joking when he made that heels comment.
Jill said on 29/Mar/11
Seeing as Colfer said he's "about 5' 10" - 5' 11" in heel-esque shoes", it seems perfectly reasonable to me that he'd be 5' 9" normally.
Ace said on 17/Mar/11
I do however, highly doubt he took hormonal substances, as his visage has changed little, and his muscle tone appears barely altered. That and his voice is still as high as ever.
Ace said on 17/Mar/11
I am not saying it is common LongCruise, you are absolutely right, it is extremely unlikely, but it wouldn't be the biggest stretch in the world for him to have grown an inch or two. Maybe i am just particular as i have known two people who have had it happen to them. Regardless, while it is not impossible, it is yes, highly unlikely.
LongCruise said on 13/Mar/11
Ace; we are talking about chances less than 1 %. You really think a Hollywood-star, in the middle of all the stressful working, would actually grow 2 inches just like that? I bet that IF he has really grown that much, it's because he uses/used some sort of hormonal substances.
Ace said on 11/Mar/11
LongCruise, it is not an impossibility at all. My father was 6`2 throughout all of college, and then at 21 grew an extra 2 inches to 6`4. Additionally, a good college friend of mine was 5`10 for a while, until his sophomore year when he shot up to 6`1. It isn't very common that it happens, but it is nowhere near an utter impossibility. You really should commit to some research before you make such claims, it's just asking to have someone who knows about this subject come down on you.

He looks like one of those baby faced, immature guys who didn't hit puberty until they were 17 and have been tiny/wimpy throughout their life.

At 19 most guys can have beards & stuff. He still looked (very lol!) feminine.

I'd say it's perfectly possible he could be 5-10, 5-11.
LongCruise said on 26/Feb/11
He's wearing lifts, that's all. No man can grow after the 19th birthday that much, it is utter impossibility. Still 5'7".

That picture with Efron is weird. Somebody has to be standing on something because that would make Efron 6ft! The reason Efron is looking fat in the face is because he's been bulking up for a movie.
MD said on 10/Feb/11
Yes, there is surely something off with that picture. Someone's standing on something, obviously, so it's not a good picture to judge height. And, yeah, Efron has been getting really fat in the face, lately. Weird.

TheVerve180, even 2cm at 19 is pretty rare because after 16, the average boy grows 1 inch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where did you get that from? State your source please.
Anonymous said on 3/Feb/11
My father and my brother both grew 6in. while in their late teens/early 20s. Some people just hit their final growth spurt late - it's rare, but it does happen.
sean89 said on 1/Feb/11
ok guys would you consider 3 cms of growth after 20 rare as in my case?? or normal
