if you look at photos with his wife, iman, who is listed as 5'9", he always seems to be a bit shorter than her. so i'm thinking he's probably closer to 5'8"...unless of course in those photos she's got on heels, then i'd figure him at 5'9", but definitely no taller than that

Definitely looks 5'10 because he was an inch taller than Freddie Mercury who was 5'9" when they sang "Under Pressure during a Queen concert.

Hey Glenn nothing to do with height, but why weren't you guys looking at the camera for this one? It seems like you were posing for another picture or was it just a random natural shot? I've just always found it curious

This is not a good illustration of heights, but I know I saw these two together in a photo I can't find on the internet that showed Lennon was probably .25-.50 inches taller than Bowie.

I remember seing in a magazine in the 80's a list of British rockstar heights. he was measured at 5'8.5 inches. He probably wears elevator shoes, In a concert with Tina Turner, he wore elevator shoes(it was noticeable), he barely towered over her,and she is 5'4" (probably 5'8" with her shoes).

I remember seeing David Bowie on a TV programme maybe five years ago or more in which they actually measured his height. It was 5'10.5" but I don't think they asked him to take his shoes off so I'd guess we'd be talking a little over 5'9" barefoot at that time.

He's 5'9.5 or used to be that height. He was just a hair shorter than Lennon. Given his age...I doubt he's still 5'9.5.
