I'm a little taller, actually - almost 5 foot 10. The camera likes it when you're pretty close in height, because otherwise it's hard to get you both in frame. A lot of women I've worked with are about my height. Cameron is about 5 foot 8 and Julia Roberts is too. My co-star in Griffin and Phoenix, Amanda Peet, is 5 foot 7, so we stand more or less eye to eye. I've worked with a couple of male actors who were extremely tall. I admit that I've put extra Dr. Scholl's in my shoes - so that I'm not looking up at the bottom of a guy's chin

He looked the same height as Sigourney weaver in copycat her barefoot and him in dress shoes I'm guessing his around 5ft 10 is accurate barefoot for him and he may have shrunk an inch in his 50s but doubt he'd have been 5ft 8.5 back when in copycat which was 1995

I have met him several times at his music gigs - he is a slight, small-boned person but probably exactly as he described, just shy of 5'10". I am 5'2" and have had on 3 inch heels putting me at 5'5" and he was about 4 to 5 inches taller. He is very much a gentleman and indeed very talented.

I just saw him on Saturday night when he played with his brother and James Fernley from The Pogues. I'd say he's right about 5'9 or 5'10. Not very tall but definitely attractive in person. He looks younger than his real age. He's also a very talented musician! He played the cell, the guitar, the keyboard, the harmonica and he sang.

Funny you are talking about his height. I just saw him yesterday in my subway car...and all I kept thinking was how small he was. Those movie screens are so deceiving...what grabbed me on the big screen did not move me in real life. Maybe if he had smiled I could have seen something worth holding on too...just sitting there with no expression.
