I don't agree with you who think all footballers lie about their height. Actors, musicians I agree with those ones, and some stars in football if they are shortish, but most footballers are listed just right, yes there are mistakes some of them are listed shorter due to old junior stats and some of them tall, but most of heights are just facts off medical height. It is difficult just to judge heights looking pics on the pitch

Ross Barkley is nowhere near the 188-189 listings he receives, but i think 183 is too low, he looks just a solid inch shorter than 188 John Stones and Lukaku..i think 184-185 is fair for Barkley.

@David matteo darmian is imo in the strong 6ft range: he is not towered by other Italian national team defenders as Barzagli, Chiellini and Bonucci who are all around or slightly below 6ft2.

For me, Pique is 192cm and Giroud is 190cm. At recent Ireland vs Poland match, John O'Shea (191cm) stood beside Lewandowski when both teams gathered before the match and was comfortably three inches taller. @Laf I agree Lallana always comes accross as being taller than 172 but I think that might be due to his fluid Zidane-esque playing style, saw a photo and can't find the link now and he was bang-on level with baines standing next to him. Walker may well be a 180 but I knocked him down slightly because he has often been listed as 178

I think Szczesny just hasn't got great posture, maybe 196 is slightly pushing it but I genuinely believe he's 195cm. Mertesacker looks about 6cm taller. Cech also has poor posture which makes Giroud and others look taller but when he's stood straight, he's easily 196cm

Hi Rob, I was wondering how tall you think Mertesacker is, he's listed 198cm on every site but easily looks 2 metres as he's 2 inches+ taller than 6'5 guys. Even in the tunnel when Chelsea played Arsenal, he looked taller than Courtois who is 199cm.

@Height183 I agree with you about Torres w/ Lampard , but I know at least 5-6 friends who have met him (and two of these friends are height "addicted" like me) and they all told he s 185. Personally I think he s between 184 and 185 if measured in a point of the day, but 184 likelier.
