Just saw Jackman in X-Men 3 and he towered over everybody! Brian Singer tried to minimize Jackman's height in the previous X-Men films by employing strategic camera angles or having Jackman on a lower platform than other actors he shared the screen with, but it looked like the new director Bret Ratner didn'f feel like messing around with any of that. Jackman looked easily 6'3" tall compared to 6'1" Kesey Grammer in a scene where they walked side by side down a hallway.

If anyone's seen Jackman with 6 foot Travolta in the film "Swordfish", it's obvious that Jackman wall taller by a few inches. This is the only pic I could find of the two of them facing off but it's clear that Jackman just can't be anything under 6'2";

It's funny, because Conan claimed a height of "a little over 6'4..without the hair" last night on his show to Jennifer Aniston, but when Hugh came out as the next guest, they almost looked the same height. Someone is lying. lol

Hugh Jackman is a tall guy in person. He was at the front row bench side of the LOS ANGELES LAKERS with his son Oscar watching the team win over The PHOENIX SUNS at the Staples Center, on April 30, 2006. He wore normal dark blue CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR sneakers. No lifts. He looks 6'2". The amazing thing about this actor is he can make himself look SMALL in his movie roles. He looked smaller than (barely 6'0") John Travolta in the movie: SWORDFISH.
His role as WOLVERINE in the X-Men movie is amazing. WOLVERINE'S HEIGHT IS LISTED AS 5'3" in the OFFICIAL HANDBOOK of the MARVEL UNIVERSE. "Five Three!".
Other actors like portray BIG characters. This guys is good at doing the opposite.

In Bram Stoker's novel Van Helsing isn't depicted as a tall guy...As the matter of fact, he's described as a medium sized and middle aged man! So I'd say that Anthony Hopkins was rather suitable in his role...

If he is 6'2 then that's a bit taller than I thought. As Wolverine he looks a lot shorter than that. This will have been the general idea, if the Wolverine character is supposed to be shorter and stockier. They might have done some special camera work to make him look shorter as wolverine, plus he's quite well built so that might also help an illusion that he isn't as tall as he actually is.

In the movie "Run Away, Jury" Jackman and Cusack's scenes together clearly show that Cusack is 2" taller than Jackman, but they are both listed at the same height or people say Jackman is taller. I on the other had dissagree.

I think 189cm is right. Though, I used to think he was 191cm and once commented he was so to my girl (talking about a Van Helsing movie advert in the newspaper) and she was like no way he's that tall. She hasn't seen him in person, though...

I think part of the debate about his height was due to the fact that he lied about it to land the role of Wolverine in the X-Men movies. I remember reading that the producers really liked him for the part but said he was too tall. But he kinda 'faked' being only 6 foot. In fact, I recall an article that was made prior to the first X-Men movie that read he was a 'hair' over six feet. Good choice of words. Hairs can be 3 inches long easy. :)

If sommers reckons jackman is 6'2" and 210 pounds of solid steel, then he must be dreaming if he thinks that he too is 6'2". Hed be like 6ft max haha. I would say that 6'3" is more like it, but I still reckon sommer is no more then 6'1" max

Ive met Hugh jackman, spoke to hugh, so can comment, he is 190cm, but compared to Ray romano at the emmys, he proves how ray really is only around the 5"11.5 he claims to be in his show. When ray excepts his award from Hugh , you can clearly see hugh is several inches taller then ray. So ray aint 6"3

I would say he is 6'3. Hell, maybe even 6'4, Hugh looks like a big boy. Will Smith is 6'2, and looks it. So for Hugh to be taller than he, than that tells me that he is at least 6'3.

I saw "Boy From Oz" on Broadway last year and he came out the stage door and signed my Playbill. My boyfriend (who is 6'3")was with me and they appeared to be very close in height.

One thing is sure and that is that he makes almost every actor look short, in x-men for example they tried to make him look shorter because Wolverine is only supposed to be 5ft3in. I am convinced that he is at least 190 cm, take a look on x-men 2 when they jump in the Mazda rx8, he makes the other actors (Aaron Stanford who plays pyro looks like a kid in compared to Jackman) look like dwarves even if they are around 175 cm.
