he is 9 inches taller judging by the picture.....and the picture was taken at night in which Glenn is really only marginally taller than 5'7....so I will bet Cromwell is not even a full 6'5 now....I hope I make sense

Well, I'd say on average the human head makes up about 13.8 % of total height (elsewhere I've seen said that the human body is 7 to 7½ heads tall, which fits in nicely with my estimate), so about 27 cm would be a good guess with Mr. Cromwell's stature. But he's not (quite) a full head taller there.
The 1/8 (or 12.5 %) ratio given in artistic manuals is inaccurate BTW – they use it because it's more manageable than the right one.

Looks no less than 6'5 with Glenn, possibly a bit over. He was a full 6'7 at his peak. He's never been in a position where it was necessary to add inches to his height. In fact, he might have downgraded himself at times.

Honestly if you take Glen's 5'8 measurement and add on the inches that Cromwell has on Glen, then 6'6 looks like the truth.

Glenn, this guy is a redwood! Even at the center of his eyes he's at least six-one with an easy six inches to go because he has a long head. I think he's been embarrassed about his height so much that he understates it. Also note how relaxed his stance is. I would believe a solid 6'6", perhaps even more.

People, to look that tall, need to really be VERY TALL. People are often amazed when meeting men seen on movies or TV. "i didn't know he was so tall" is frequently heard. Just watched space cowboys, and this man is huge!!! He made eastwood look small and East wood still looked to be about 6'2.5 or 6'3. I think he was an honest 6'7 in his youth and now is a little under 6'6. He is still a mountain

In some scenes in the green mile he doesnt look that much taller than david morse whos 6'4", and in the barbeque scene next to tom hanks he doesnt look 7" taller, thats a massive difference we're talking about, and no way is he 7" than hanks, he is tall, no doubt about that, but 6'7"?...Nah.
As soon as people hit 6'5"+ they always look really tall, if you got some random joe who isnt interested in height assess a 6'5" guy, they could easily be described as 7ft, heck my uncle is 6'7" legit, 6'8" in shoes and he got "are you 7ft?" questions all the time.
Once you hit 6'5" people start adding inches to you, because the larger the difference, the more difficult to estimate.
A 5'10" guy can never get away with 5'11"-6'0" because most other people are that height, and theyl be caught out.
Get a 6'7" guy standing around 5'10-6ft guys and they could EASILY get away with 6'8"

I still think Cromwell is a solid 6'7, maybe he's lost a little now that he's older, but still, when he was youger he was definitely 6'7 IMO. He's also quite slim, which could make him appear taller than he really is.

Cromwell is so tall that when I met him I came up to about his mouth level and I'm 5'11"! The guy is probably one of the tallest if not the tallest actor working today. I'd place him at 6'6" without hesitation.

Saw Cromwell on MASH tonight, standing next to Mike Farrell who was supposed to be 6'3", which I believe, in the late 70's. Cromwell was taller by at least 2 inches, so I have no problem believing he was 6'6".

I never doubted the 6'6"+ height listing until I saw the longest yard the other day. WHen he was in the locker room for that one scene he looked to be only .5"-1" taller then bob sapp who gets listed at 6'5"-6'7" which was always believable until he said in an interview that he was only really 6'3.5".
