Oh wow! From the episodes I’ve watched of Twin Peaks, I never really pigged him for 5’8 guy. That’s surprising. I guess the female costars must’ve been pretty short then.

I met James on Saturday night at an event in Philly, and he was a nice guy. I think 5'8.5" range is probable, he was under average near a lot of guys in the audience but was also not particularly short. I got a picture with him and a friend of mine but its not very usefully for height, he's standing ok but I'm leaning down a fair bit.

I would give him 5'8 1/2. Doesn't look short next to other "tall" actors in Twin Peaks. That just confirms that Kyle Maclachlan was 5'11 and Michael Ontkean was 6'.

I don't think thicker boots would explain how he managed "not to look short"! He must have been in lifts, then?

Are you sure he's just 5'8, Rob? He doesn't look short in TP and most of the cast is supposed to be 6' and over...

Editor Rob I think last time I watched an episode I thought he had thicker boots and may be 5ft 8 range barefoot...I wouldn't be convinced of 5ft 9 for him.
