I don't know if he's 5'11" or 5'11.5" but Jerry doesn't seem like he's playing any games with his height. We all seem to be in agreement this is approximately his height.

Rob, I think this height for Seinfeld is very accurate. I've always believed that he's 5'11'', or even a bit more. As has been reiterated so many times before in various comments, he looks this height in relation to his co-stars, and is consistently described as 5’11’’ on the show. In the episodes with Keith Hernandez, (who is commonly listed at 6'0'' even), Jerry was, AT MOST, an inch shorter than Hernandez. Compared to Michael Richards and Wayne Knight, 6’0’’ looks completely correct for Hernandez. Nothing in Height Police’s comment made anything remotely close to a fragment of sense. They stated at one point that Seinfeld tries to make him look “average”, and in the same comment that Seinfeld tries to make himself look “tall”. That’s just ridiculous and should be ignored cause it’s contradicting information Everything checks out, Rob; sightings are quite consistent stating he’s at least 5’11’’, he’s referred to as 5’11’’ in the show, and comparisons with other people on the show. Leave this one, dude, you’re absolutely correct.

Well avg height is 5'9(which I am)although I would say seinfeld is about that because everyone knows alexander is not 5'5,and Julia dreyfus while very sexy is not a tall woman,I would say seinfeld is shorter than he says.

Everything in the apartment is carefully calculated to make him look tall. Ever notice the shorter refrigerator?
Also, Seinfeld is extremely skinny. Toothpick skinny, which gives the illusion of tallness.

Mr. R, I'm the first to agree with you when you're right (which doesn't seem to be very often)! :) But I think you got this one right, it's always better to compare the heights of people who are closer in heights (Reinhold and Seinfeld) and not father (Seinfeld and Richards). I agree with your 5'10"-ish estimate, but we can only know for sure if we were to meet Jerry for ourselves, I also think Ricardo is onto something because, if you judge by the doorway, Jerry really does look a 5'9"er when he walks through it! He is definately atleast marginally shorter than 5'11", by now he is 179 cm at most.

And Jerry Seinfeld IS 5'11, however, in a particular episode he did have the black and white no-brand shoes that gives him about 2 inches, my friend pointed it out because he has the same ones. That's why sometimes he looks closer to "Kramer" (Micheal Richards)'s height. But when he's not wearing those, he really is 5'11.

I do think that Jerry is ever so slightly above average height for an American man, which is 177 cm or almost 5'10". He isn't a tall guy, 5'11" is not tall by any stretch, but he isn't short. HE DOES LOOK RELATIVELY TALL, and he is not that thin. I agree with our editor that he truely does look a solid 5'11". In Seinfeld there are no signs of him wearing lifts and he does look quite a bit taller than George (5'4.5"). Michael Richards wasn't anything less than 190 cm during his time on Seinfeld and Jerry did look about 10 cms shorter. I stand by the fact that Jerry is indeed 5'11" and not 5'9". Lol, this reminds me of what happens with my friend who is about 5'9" and has 5'11" on his id card and everyone beleives him. it's because he is skinny and has a lot of hair,and was measured with footwear on. i'm about the same height but muscular and don't have a lot of hair, so when i tell anyone i'm 5'8" they insist i'm 5'6" until they see me and my friend standing together. Having a lot of hair and being skinny can make you look 2-3 inches taller from a glance and on television. I'm not totally sure about Jerry's height he just doesn't look 5'11", 5'11 looks tall. Are you telling me that jerry is 3 inches taller than the average man???

I agree with you both. the height of a typical doorway is about 6'7" (btw Rob, this is a good way to measure celebrities also.)If Jerry is 5'11" when he had his shoes on he would stand at about 6'0 1/2", therefore he would be about 6 and a 1/2" inches shorter than the top of the doorway. Does he look 6 1/2" inches shorter than the doorway in seinfeld?, no. Also beside his extremely short co-stars who are about 5'1" and 5'3", if he was 5'11" he would tower over them. Instead he just looks average and they just look short.
